  • Oh, there are actually the old tutorials from the archive, you might wanna check that!

I thought NX is supposed to be Wii U's successor? But I'm not sure myself, if you are feel free to tell me.

Yeah, my friends have like a house filled with cats... Then here I am just watching them and doing nothing. XD

We can re-enact too, but you will be forced to give up Hummy... We'd rather everyone to enjoy it the collab!! (:
    P
She is...but that's a huge part of her appeal! Watching her toss Alex through walls in Brotherhood was fantastic, aha. In the end of the original series, they get sucked through a portal or something into our world, which was just plain ridiculous and awful...and the movie carried it on. It just didn't fit with the story at all I didn't think. Which was a shame, because I liked some of the things the original series did much more. Like Sloth's identity, and the expansion of certain background characters, and Roy's obsession with tiny miniskirts. xD
I try not to launch into diatribes in that thread, but people do make life difficult for me in that regard. VERY difficult, sometimes.
Ehhhh, you don't want to be universally despised and unpopular like me! Keep your youthful innocence and amicability :3
Well, you know Japan...it's like a real life topsy-turvy town. Painted by Picasso. Then put through half a dozen random photoshop filters. Who can even make sense of Japan?
Because it was horrifyingly memorable? Suite had a lot of random moments like that. I'll never get tired of this scene...I think the subbers got a little TOO carried away with it, haha. And that random English-speaking person in one of the earlier episodes, too. "Hi, where's the post office?"
I wonder if it's Westerners or Easterners drawing it? If it's the former, it's extremely creepy...well, it's extremely creepy anyway, but with the AOC being what it is in Japan I can at least understand it, even if I don't necessarily agree with it. But R-18 Western Precure fanart...=/
Yeah I'm guessing the heat can make it difficult; long hair makes your entire head feel like it's made of lead in hotter weather...and my idea of hot is significantly milder than yours is.
    It's Dragon! Maybe.

So, there is no need to concern yourself with range...unless you plan on singing a song with an insane range as accurately as possible, anyway. xD

You'd think that people who review games for a living would actually learn how to be good at them, no? Also, being the hardest SRPG on the 3DS is hardly an achievement, considering the competition. Most SRPGs are on Sony platforms, when your competition is limited to the likes of Pokemon Conquest (if we're counting DS games) and other Fire Emblem titles...well, it's not a great claim to make. xD

    Indeed. Long live the Empire!

I dunno, I don't use streaming sites. Probably? xD

Aren't most cute mascot characters also really annoying, though? You either have a high tolerance for cute, or you're significantly pickier than I am with the characters you like. xD

Most people would throw Tales of Vesperia at you as an example, although I personally wouldn't. I enjoyed Star Ocean 4, but that came to PS3 - with the ability to change targets and trophies - so that doesn't count. Magna Carta II was alright, but VERY cliche, and it had Yuri Lowenthal in it. Good battle system, though. The Last Remnant was great, but brutal. It's one of the hardest RPGs I've ever played, and it came out on Steam with improvements as well. But, uh...not really. It had a couple of fun ones is all.

Well, if it goes on sale at midnight we're screwed, because mother won't stay up until midnight and I sure as hell won't. But I expect I'll be able to pre-order it in-store...that'd probably be the safest bet. Once we've seen the price. I expect I'll have to pay for half of it, and if half is over £40 then forget it. xD

If you do, you clearly don't know what music is supposed to sound like =P

Ohhh, piano covers of songs are fun, too. So are music box renditions. When they're done properly, anyway. xD
Well, he's not quite as scathing as he used to be; he's a lot more professional now. Probably because he's gone independant. I still watch his show every week, though. He raises some very interesting points sometimes. Random video example. But yeah...if I could be half as amazing as Jim Sterling I'd be very happy. xD

Are you talking about Tharja's more-lewd-than-Japan censorship? I laughed so hard when I saw that, that was not-lesbians-they're-cousins-level bad. Fanservice in Hyrule Warriors? You mean the creepy villain woman whose name escapes me right now? Honestly I always thought the Zora Princess was more fanservicey, considering she's technically not wearing any clothing at all...

Yeah, we're not supposed to discuss them, I think. I'll just link you to the site I'm using via Skype when I see you next. Episode 3 isn't up yet from them anyway~

Well, that's a common thing with series, regardless of how frequently the titles are released. It's always more of the same, with minimal changes, because that's what sells. ALL of Nintendo's main series have been doing that for years, they just don't get as much criticism because they're more enjoyable than gritty AAA titles. xD

I guess that's just what is popular? After all, people are really into the whole mainstream music thing are well covered with stuff like SingStar and Guitar Hero, so they don't really need someting like osu. Anime-style avatars are the way to go <3

I can't even remember anymore...which is probably for the best. My euphemisms and hyperbole tend to spiral out of control pretty quickly. This is why you play games with easier plats, rather than harder ones...or split it up, aha. It's funny, because if a game doesn't have trophies normally I just play it to the end and maybe I'll do the postgame as well if it's any good. Completionism is relative~
    P
His awesomeness has been passed down through the Armstrong family line for *~✧GENERATIONS✧~ after all! His sister is pretty cool too. The original series is great, except for the last few episodes...they just totally ruined the premise. THEN followed it up with an absolutely atrocious movie. I get that the manga hadn't finished being published by then, but they could have at least come up with something better than what they did.
I dunno...your favourites? xD I post a lot in that thread, although the trashy fighting music really hurts my ears...
Blue and Green won, according to Serebii. Guess Charizard got knocked on his backside, aha. I would have thought having it next week, during the Anniversary, would have made more sense, ehe.
This design. I love it, she's got a sleeveless trenchcoat or something and it looks so much sassier than her reformed outfit. Not that hideous green costume she had on for, like, a single episode. xD I don't browse Pixiv much; typically I go to Safebooru, as it cuts out a lot of low quality crap and nothing NSFW gets past it...creepy sometimes, but not NSFW. Which is a huge relief.
With great difficulty and pain and little success, typically. Having thick hair means that the best way of dealing with it is to tie it back or keep it short, I think. I don't recommend growing your hair out that long. It looks cool, but it's a real pain to properly maintain. xD
She's off hiding somewhere...we're re-enacting the anime series? I'll probably be ready to go two weeks after the rest of you then, aha.

Having poor range doesn't make you a bad singer; it's more important if you can carry the tune, in my opinion. This is my justification for singing with zero range and I'm sticking to it. xD

Haha, a hard Fire Emblem game. SRPG newbies are so funny sometimes. /shot

Well, let's face it, a ridiculously high percentage of the modern world communicates with English. Delaying a game for a few language options people are never going to use is ridiculously unfair unless it gets delayed EVERYWHERE for it.
    Persona 5.

There is a dub trailer for it, yes! Not the voice actors I would have chosen necessarily, but not a Yuri Lowenthal in sight, and Patrick Seitz has my full confidence. It definitely caught my attention. It's one of only five anime I've given a perfect score to, anyway.
Well, we all have our archetypal favourites! I typically go for villains or large hams. Or both, where possible. Both is good.

I did...if one can actually play something that atrocious. I used to have a 360. PS3 was too expensive at the time. xD

I expect GAME will e-mail me when they've got it, and it'll be all over the news sites. Having it digital-only outside of the special edition is a really irritating move, though. If I actually cared about FE I'd be absolutely infuriated...

Yeah, and he made a mess of them, which is even more unforgivable, because how can you butcher classical. It's like drowning kittens. I just don't like trashy pop vocals in my games, haha. That track sounds very similar to something I've heard before, although I'm having trouble placing it. See, if Meguro isn't being offensive, he's being generic. Is ONE good song really too much to ask for? =/
Yeah...I've dragged out boss battles before just to listen to the music. I managed to drag out Xenoblade's final battle for three minutes just so I could kill the boss to the climax of The God Slaying Sword. I play games just so I can experience moments like that. xD
Speaking of that track, it got an 8-bit remix. I think I might have dented the walls from where I bounced off them.
Yup, when reading reviews, one needs to ignore the opinion garbage and just see what is said about the actual gameplay, etc. When you can find that stuff out through trailers etc, I don't see the need to read them...well, I often read Jim Sterling's reviews, because he never fails to make me laugh. I'm not even a tenth as scathing or witty in my criticisms as he is when he gets going. xD

Nintendo doesn't mind booty for some reason - look at freakin' Goetia in Xenoblade Chronicles X. The worst part? She disappears, never to be seen or heard from again after a while!

Yup. Every OP and ED. They're all ridiculously catchy, too! I love Precure vocal albums :3

A lot of series are becoming yearly releases now! Getting an Atelier game every year since 2009 has been awesome anyway. Although most of them I don't pay attention to either, since they're pretty much the same game re-skinned every year. xD

Really? That's surprising, since rhythm games are very much a Japan thing because of DDR and all those idols, etc etc.

Oh...I thought it was a dirty euphemism for something else, although I wasn't sure what! Yes, being trophy hunter is much suffering, but the reward is worth it. You should give it a try sometime :3
I'll keep that in mind next time, that might help me! ;)

Gdi, I'm so jelly I wanna play Splatoon too. D: Yeah I don't have a Wii U, as I didn't see the need to buy one.

YES Neko Atsume: Kitty Collector, omg my friends are getting crazy over it!

Oh yeah, I'd like to let you know, you an switch between Hummy and Ako/Cure Muse, if you desire so. ;)
That sounds disastrous. I remember when I did retail last spring/summer and one time my register was $20 short and I was like... ohhh snap ahaha. that was so bad. No breaks sounds ridiculous even if they were short-staffed :/ I'd never do retail again unless it's Costco since they pay enough to live off of D8
Same. I can't imagine myself leaving at this point.. aaaa. How is your job going? =) You were doing retail right?
    P
It is? Huh, go figure. I suppose there is an exception to every rule. Well, in Brotherhood's case...I really do not like how the original series ended. But the voice cast probably had something to do with it; anything with Chris Sabat in a large ham role is worth watching, and there is no larger ham than Alex Louis Armstrong. I've watched far worse anime for a single character before. xD
We could always have a music sharing session on Skype somewhen or something if you want :3
I always anticipate references where there is a cause for references. Probably because I always take those chances myself, aha. Well, someone has to criticise me, because nobody else will! I suppose I'm in the best position to, anyway.
It's certainly gone to the dogs, much like the rest of the West. /shot
It's fairly easy to find if you search for it...I forget if I have it saved or not. Probably not. But I've seen it recently, and if nothing else it WILL be in my Tumblr archive somewhere. There is an annoying lack of good art of Seiren by herself, though...or in her villain getup. I've seen more pics of her in other Cure costumes (Moonlight and Fortune seem to be the most popular two) than I have her own clothes!
Wavy is cool, but curly is definitely not, haha. Is your hair particularly thick? I'd straighten mine if I could be bothered; I just tie it back these days. It's probably due a trim actually, I don't want it getting too long. Shoulder-length is fine. Not down to the small of my back like it was throughout my College years, aha. My hair has been a constant nuisance throughout my life, and there have been times when I've considered just going bald. I think my ears would get cold though...
Meh, I'll keep to my own timetable. If we weren't collabing on Seiren/Hummy I'd go with Muse...I feel so sorry for poor Ako, being left out D:

Ehhh, who cares what the neighbours think? xD
It's difficult finding the time to do these things if you're self-conscious, though...and singing is a rather personal thing. Unless you're drunk, shameless, or being paid handsomely for it. xD

I wish I had a closet that big...my stuff is scattered across my room on shelves. I really need to clean, because I'm running out of room, aha.
Nothing Nintendo develops could be considered niche, in my opinion. Niche games have a very small cult following, barely make ends meet in the sales department, and usually get very negative reviews from reviewers.

I'm sure there are logistical reasons...I don't care. I'm a selfish prick who thinks that the rest of the world should be made to wait for the sake of a simultaneous release. The latest possible release date should be the one for the world over. A big world doesn't mean anything unless they fill it with stuff, though. I can't get excited for the new Zelda, because all they've done so far is show off visuals, and that's a standard AAA tactic for a game that has very little content. I want to know what's actually IN the world, rather than how big it is. They're getting as bad with the game as Square Enix has been with FFXV.

It'll be dubbed soon, now's your chance! Although I would quite happily watch it with you in either format :3
Quite possibly. Must be an aesthetic thing. xD

Ugh, now THERE was a game I could have done without playing...

It confuses me too, and I studied it for a year as part of my degree, haha. I've read some interesting articles on why games are marketed at certain prices though, so I *think* I get it. But I don't like it. If mother can't get the special edition of Fates I doubt I'll ever play the third path, as it'll get downloaded onto her 3DS, and the chances of me buying it are insanely small.

Ugh, Meguro has never composed anything that hasn't been utter trash (or if he has, I haven't heard it) so it's looking less and less likely. Persona 4's pop was unbearable. If it's more of the same for P5, count me out.
Yes. Since I judge a game by its soundtrack a lot of the time (which might sound odd, but it's only steered me wrong once or twice) I will often listen to the OST of a game I might not finish...immediately, anyway. I have tracks from games I hated (Lost Odyssey, FFIX, etc) on my iTunes too. Good music is good music. xD
Pretty much. At the end of the day, the only difference between your opinion and a reviewer's is that one gets published and paid for, it doesn't give it any more credibility or validity. People will like what they like. If they only buy the games the magazines tell them to buy...well, too bad for them. xD

Sounds delightful. And people complain about censoring when stuff like that stays in!

    Ancient history. Mooooving on. xD

I'd be fine with that, it's been a while since I watched it, and we can always split the seasons and OVAs up, aha. Did I mention that the OPs are performed by the cast? Gives them a very personal feeling...despite how utterly bizarre they are.

Or people into the whole AAA scene. Gotta buy that yearly FIFA, etc.

Isn't it a Japanese-created thing, though? Totally outdone there. xD

Wha---nevermind. xD I've been seeing Digimon in my sleep recently, it's been quite aggravating. I guess five hours of failed multiplayer will do that to you...
So how do you do it? Do you search for pics beforehand or w/e comes to mind?

And he's doing pretty well in mafia, don't you think so? -giggle-

She knows where to get all the goodies. :D

I believe there are other piano tile-games, but I'm not so sure haha. Have you been playing the cat snapping games?

Cool! March 1st of our respective time zones, I have no sigs for everyone though. :'( I'm busy handing stuff, but let's hope that I'll be able to make it. Btw, just to let you know Melody and I will go for Rhythm and Cure Melody. (:
oh what a bummer. I would've wanted to hear something too, especially after already getting to know someone a bit through skype. Well.. will keep hoping she returns, PC tends to draw in older members so maybe just some patience will do. :< (a-at least you're still here from our group! :D)
Oh so that's what happened?? So out of the blue? I wasn't even sure what happened to her.. omg D:
    P
I've tried a lot of things on recommendation out of curiosity, although it's hit and miss. The same person who recommended I watch Fullmetal Alchemist also recommended I watch Madoka. I used to have music sharing sessions with people a lot as well, we'd just spam one another with tracks. It's fun, but it's definitely hit-and-miss.
I knew that was coming. xD; No, I'm not particularly interested in being insulted. Criticised, yes. Insulted, no. Criticisms are often more sincere than compliments, and I value sincerity~
...when you act more like me, in other words. xD
But dogs are horrible, disgusting creatures! How could they win?! The world has gone insane. INSANE.
Kitty Seiren (I want her crazy negatone summoner face for a gif) although I might use human Seiren for an avatar if I find nice fanart of her in that outfit. But I found this and I just can't not use it for a profile picture, really. I don't mind being in a collab within a collab, or whatever.
Eh, taking irritating top half of my face with plushies pics is kinda a thing for me on forums when I hit significant posting milestones (5k) so I'll probably follow suit here at some stage to celebrate, if I notice and feel like it. Haha, it's funny how people's perspectives change as they get older - I was bullied something awful in school for my hair when I was a kid, these days I get people telling me it's more interesting, or that they'd kill to have it (mostly the elderly there. xD). Nobody has anything to say about brunettes or people with black hair, oddly...
I have a couple of patterns coloured, now I just need to actually design the thing...I'll try and do that over the weekend, or today, or whenever. xD

I recommend practicing opera or musicals. I was singing songs from Les Miserables in the shower yesterday...so glad I'm home alone right now. xD

Everyone has skeletons in their closet...a lot of them are either holding video game controllers or clutching those giant huggable anime girl pillows, it seems! Mine has an Ace of Base mix CD in their hands, for the record. xD
Yeah, I tend to mention the more recognisable games whenever I'm asked as well, if only because I don't want to have to explain my appreciation of JRPGs to someone who obviously isn't interested or going to understand. Niche games are never particularly well-received outside of the internet.

Ha! Tell that to Amazon. I really want to punch the Nintendo people who are responsible for all this in their stupid faces. Simultaneous worldwide release. It happened with XY. It can happen again. It SHOULD happen again.
It won't. Zelda is one of the worst offenders of the lot; all that changes is some of the locations. Really, it's a good thing the gameplay is consistently enjoyable (mostly, you get titles like Other M, Black/White, and Skyward Sword) otherwise I probably wouldn't bother with Nintendo games at all...

Not yet...it's on the backlog. We could watch that at some stage if you wanted to, because if I don't get sufficient motivation it's probably going to take me until late this year/early next year to get around to it, aha. If I had to pick a favourite anime of 2015...hrmn...Cross Ange, Gundam Build Fighters Try, or Shigatsu. One of those three.
I won that one. Sailor Mercury is the best.

That was pretty much it, I think. A blue dragon does stuff.

Yeah, but...digital. Screw digital. Especially on the 3DS, where games take up obscene amounts of space. 100 AUS would be £50 here...considering the two games individually are £35-40 pre-order, I'd leap on a £50 special edition. I wish Nintendo would price their games properly, they're getting as bad as Atlus with their ridiculous tax.

The atmosphere and presentation are one of the main reasons Persona and I don't get along...the OST is the other reason. I expect it'll be the OST that sways me to try it or not. I can weather a lot in the face of good OST.
They're all rather good cover artists! LittleVMills does the most spectacular metal arrangements ever, and you might get a laugh out of Tsuko G. too.
Heh, these days I only really trust my own opinion; I don't need other people telling me what I should be thinking or feeling when I play something. People still see criticism as a negative thing mostly, I guess.

But if there's no blood relation, it's OK! Thus spake Japan, who really likes the whole little sister thing for some reason...

I didn't really pay much attention to it; there's always some sort of big deal on the internet, and it's usually mired in misconceptions and stupidity. GG wasn't any different.

I'll watch it with you if you like, I'm due a rewatch...and I'm remembering so many awesome scenes. Anything with Chiri in it. The Zetsubou Sensei Drawing Song, which mutated in the third season to become a recurring thing. The internet has left me in despair. The entire first episode of the second season, which tells the weirdest backstory EVER. The hype skit. The third season isn't quite as funny as the first or second, but it's still good. God, I miss it. xD

Maybe they're the Western equivalent of idol games? Football fans writhing in their chairs because they're scoring a goal with Beckham-sensei. *shot*

I guess if you want to play online games you need to give up everything else...your life outside of the game included. If you can make a living off it and don't mind missing other games, awesome. But I don't think that's the situation for most people. xD

Did you dream about it? I found that with Soul Sacrifice Delta...and FFXIV. It really screws with your sense of perception. xD
We were in the group chat with Shawn, cream and a few others yeah. Been ages since someone said anything in there. )':
Doesn't it irritate you when you're not getting the right design you wanna create? :P

You should talk to Dedenne1 (I'm not sure if you two are acquainted), he loves Fire Emblem as much as you do!

I wish I could give you the streaming sites, but it's against the rules, haha.

Here's the link of the Piano game, my kid sister's good at it!

Btw, please lemme know after Meloetta and you have done your decisions, so that Melody and I can get preparing too.~ ;) But hey no worries, no need to rush. :D
    P
Well, he also introduced me to Disgaea, Ninety-Nine Nights, Final Fantasy XII; a lot of my favourites~ My mother has that attitude regarding graphic novels; that they're not "real books" etc. despite the fact that she's never read any.
Hmmm...I guess that would make sense? I don't even know how to make sense of any of this, I'm not accustomed to people liking me, as I've said, aha. I suppose I just expect people to have some criticisms or "nasty" comments they hold in reserve because that's pretty much all I have =P
I'm at my most introspective when I'm tired, too. It's like the consciousness vanishes and the subconscious takes hold, prompting all sorts of abstract strangeness. Makes for interesting reading when I'm fully awake, though.
Please tell me cats won that one. /doesn't keep track
*will make/adapt a dark purple/black Seiren theme in short order*
Psssh. You wouldn't say that if you had pics, I guarantee it. xD And unrevealing pictures of half my face with plushies may find their way onto the thread in the future. I think that one comes from South Park and the Youtube backlash it prompted. Ehhhh. I have a soul, but it's black and festering in the depths of eternal despair and hatred =P
We should compile a list of some description, mmmhm.

Maybe I'll PM a couple of mods to see what they think of it. I PMed Brendino before I posted POTD and ironed that out with him before I went ahead with it.
I guess that social stigma about video games being for specific groups of people is still very much present in real life, despite - or even because of - Nintendo's extensive advertising campaigns advertising games for everyone. I keep my hobbies to myself too, unless I'm in a retail store dealing in what I'm interested in, anyway. But that's a totally different thing.

Ha, only if you're in the US. As for evolving - it won't. Nintendo games don't evolve. Evolution implies progress and change, and there is very little of either to be found in Nintendo's mothership titles. Consistent quality, yes. But improvements? Not so that you'd notice. /cynical viewpoint

Well, there are plenty of 12/13 episode shows floating about I'm sure neither of us have seen...and I'd be open to rewatches~
Her character just irritates me, she's even worse than Jupiter. They take the "opposites attract" thing just a bit too far with Uranus and Neptune.

Yeah, that works for me too, only replace Twilight with Eragon, since I've been writing fantasy. If plagiaristic trailer trash like that can make money, surely I can? If I ever finish something. I bet you're just waiting for your sparkly vampire to sweep you off your feet too! /shot

They'll make a second run, probably. I wonder if there will be stock problems here...and how much it'll cost. If they just swap the $ for a £ I know mother will probably explode...or she'll make ME pay for it.
It did, but you HAD to do it to progress, and it was...irritating. There didn't seem to be any concrete way to do it, and the AI was annoyingly intelligent. Especially when you had to go up against the Goron. I actually made a separate save file after I did it just so I wouldn't have to do it again when I replayed it. TP will be the next console game I play after Neptunia, and will hopefully last me until Nights of Azure comes out. Not thinking past that. xD

I just can't see it happening considering the ridiculous number of spinoffs P4 has had. But one can only hope. It has definitely overstayed its welcome.
I am a fairly big fan, yes! 331Rock, PelleK, and brentafloss are all awesome too, albeit for different reasons. Then there's Malukah and Peter Hollens...so much talent on Youtube. If you can sift through the crap. xD
I've seen some reviews already, and I'm not surprised by the complete lack of objectivity in them. Ah well. Reviews are just published opinions designed to generate sales, after all.
No grinding in an RPG is a point against it as far as I'm concerned - you should work for your rewards!

Can you actually involve yourself in incestuous relationships, then? @_@

This kind of stuff usually happens when there is an issue, though - you get people with rational, legitimate complaints, and then a vocal majority that just blows the entire thing out of the water and turns it into a petty farce of what it originally was.

Yes! 13 episodes...well, 12 plus an OVA. Watch dubbed. Because Neptune's sassy English voice actress is one of the best things about her. There is a third season of YuruYuri, but the tone is totally different. Still good, though. SZS is, in my opinion, the greatest slice of life comedy anime ever. So much satire. They even do an awesome Pretty Cure spoof in the second season!

Blech, sports anime. Sports are unredeemably boring. If I want to engage in sports that badly, I'll go out and play them myself...or buy a sports game. xD
Oh yes, those posts. I just tend to ignore them, because I genuinely don't care, aha. Sensationalising tragedy in that fashion is in very poor taste; it's worse than just ignoring it. Pretending to care for internet points is pathetic.

I guess it can be fun if you're not competing against the rest of the world, although I like games to set boundaries for me, rather than setting them myself. Once I've beaten a target score, I won't try and beat it better. It's probably why I'm so attracted to trophies - once I've got them all, I can count the game finished. If I set my own targets like that I'll be playing the same game for eternity, and there is too much else coming out for me to do that~

Rhythm games are like that in general, I think...one hour turns into two turns into four turns into oh shit where did my day go I'm so hungry and I can't tell if my arms hurts more than my head ahdga;ahglgda---*dead*
    P
...eep. That said, I've managed to rope people into spending more than they ought to on stuff, as well...although a couple of people have done the same with me as well. The individual who introduced me to Drakengard got me to spend an obscene amount of money on games during the PS2 era, as I bought literally everything he recommended from that point on. xD
Eh, if it's something you're not comfortable with showing, that's fair enough; I just thought you might have kept it in reserve. A lot of people tread carefully around me because they assume I'll explode if they don't, all I meant was that you didn't have to do that. Ahaha, my competitive side is precisely why I don't like PvP games. I'm not exactly a sore loser, but I'm not particularly gracious. xD
D'aww. My brain works better when I'm tired...there's less clutter, so I'm more focused. Which means I come out with some thoroughly bizarre shit. Like that. Hurrr. Just ignore me. Moving onnnnn.
I'm still betting Red will win, unless people pick common sense and go with Blue because Blastoise should technically beat Charizard in a battle. But then, tell that to Ash and Gary. xD
Seiren I think, if you don't mind. Hummy is kinda your thing, with the gifs and all, and I suppose I'm more of a tsundere, baha. I wouldn't mind doing Hibiki if you wanted to do HibiKana either - I could re-use a pink theme, and I'm a redhead anyway. We could also do Monokuma and Monomi/Shirokuma and Kurokuma/Toko and Komaru, maybe! Or Ahiru and Rue, or Utena and Anthy (either version, although I prefer the movie designs), or...uh, let me stew on it. I'm sure there are other viable options. xD

I miiight. The problem would be picking a song, although I'd probably take suggestions and we could decide by vote. It's an idea lodged in the back of my mind that needs to take full shape before I propose anything, really.
I'm more or less the same online as I am offline as well - perhaps a little more articulate online - although there are aspects of myself I show more online. I'm generally more reserved offline, so it's not as immediately apparent I'm an obnoxious prick. Mostly because social interaction in real life is a nuisance.

I wasn't going to say that! Not right away, anyway. The fandom expects more of the same, and jumps down the throat of developers if they don't get it. People just don't like change I guess, even if change might be a good thing. They should consider themselves lucky - at least they don't feel the need to petition to get unwanted titles cancelled! Regardless of whether someone likes it or not, the core gameplay is going to be the same, so it'll be a proper instalment in the series.

I think it is, actually! If not, I know of a lovely site that has it. But it's, like, 70 episodes. Are you sure? Might be better to start with something shorter. xD
Neptune is lovely, although I am rather fond of Saturn as well. Kinda indifferent to Pluto. Loathe Uranus. Season two of Sailor Moon Crystal should be interesting at least, no matter what the hate-filled fandom says. The show had me with Moon Pride, to be honest.

I guess you can't please everyone? Although any publicity is good publicity; at least people are buying and reading their books!

Ludicrous, but not entirely unexpected? I've spent quite a bit on games that ave just been dumped on the backlog. As long as they get played eventually, money well spent, as far as I'm concerned...you know it'll go out of stock or you'll have to wait ages for it if you order it when you really want it. It always happens.
All I can really remember of Twilight Princess asides the creepy white-eye dream is how much I hated the Sky Temple and that irritating wrestling minigame...oh, and Blizzeta's first theme. Really needs a replay. Only two weeks to go now. Must hold on. xD

I wish I could forget...I'm getting really sick of people shoving it in my face. It's funny though, I didn't mind the anime that much. Probably because I wasn't stuck with Yosuke and Chie for so long.
I have a lot of 8-bit remixes of tracks, about the only thing I like more is good acapella covers :3
It...can be, I guess. It's been nice having a trade partner in Pokemon for all these years, and someone to talk to about specific games...or help, as the case often is. I'll end up playing Conquest. It's the dark one. I ended up with Pokemon Black because of that as well; mother assumes it'll appeal to my sense of aesthetics more or something. Gaming websites will have nothing but glowing praise; the name "Fire Emblem" carries almost as much weight as Final Fantasy or Pokemon these days. Objectivity means nothing in the face of a well-known brand.

    Ehehehehe. /lets it drop
OK I'm not really into that kind of thing either, but it was funny to see your reaction. xD

They'll get over it eventually. Probably.

There's no accounting for taste! Like mine is going to be any better, haha. I dunno. What sort of thing would you want to watch? A good way to get you into the Neptunia franchise might be to watch the anime! Gundam is always fun, too...00 or Build Fighters, unless you don't mind politics and very old animation. 79, Stardust Memory and Zeta are all fantastic. Sengoku Basara is a lot of fun (in Japanese, mind, and not Judge End) if you want some mindless battles loosely based on history. It starts as it means to continue. YuruYuri is cute girls doing cute things. Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is pure satire. I could recommend many things. xD

Not as big of a deal as American Football, no. At least, not that I'm aware of. I don't watch sports or even pay attention to what's on TV anymore, so I could always be just ignorant of how popular it is. I know football and tennis both get a lot of coverage, but that's about it.
Meh. Who isn't? Everyone is like that, they just don't like to think about it or don't want to admit it. Compassion is a foreign concept to humanity.

It is good to know your limits, grasshopper. /shot
I guess I'm just too competitive for my own good...it drives me mad sometimes than my PSNP ranking is so low, but then I see how high the top players are, and I just don't have the time or the money to invest in catching up. Guess you just need to set yourself a workable goal and strive to meet it? Not the easiest thing to do in such a competitive environment. xD

...eep. That must have taken hours of practice.
    P
Well, it helps. Although I don't even need that initial share in interests to talk to someone anymore, to be honest – a good conversation is a good conversation. Just as long as it's not about something I dislike or don't really have any knowledge or opinion of, I'm good to go. It helps, as there is more to talk about, but since attachment isn't a factor in it for me, all similar interests do for me is determine the speed and length of a conversation initially. Aw, I'd love to see you being blunt! Give me a taste of my own medicine, aha. You'd be pretty hard-pressed to offend me no matter what you said; I keep my nerve points buried pretty deep. Irritating me is easy. Offending me is next to impossible.
True, everyone needs their secrets, although I don't think secrets are what necessarily define us as individuals...in fact, I think they're probably quite a small part of it. After all, they're acutely personal things, and as such they don't mean much to other people usually. What you do say is probably more important than what you don't say, even though the importance of it for you is almost certainly going to be vice versa. But then, other people don't know what you don't say to them, so yeah, whether or not they tell you their secrets doesn't matter...unless you tell them you're keeping something important from them, anyway. I wonder if the concept of closeness is determined primarily by the volume of information you reveal to someone? Or the level of trust, in other words. It's...an aggravating subject. I was writing a blog entry on it last month, but I never got around to finishing it because it was so damned hard to articulate something that is pretty much instinctual and subconscious and never really voiced or discussed. XD
It can? I've never had a social life, so I wouldn't know =P
Well, I guess you've got a 50% chance of winning regardless. The rest is just psychology, aha.
I'd be very surprised if you picked up on all of my references. VERY surprised. I don't even pick up on half of the myself sometimes!
It did make me smile...it kinda reminds me of Ahiru and Rue in Princess Tutu, almost. I loved the ending scene where Seiren sang to Hummy to bring her back...although Hummy singing scares the hell out of me.

...possibly. That's not what I was thinking of, but it's a definite possibility. I miss my weekly singing competitions...mostly because hearing assorted people sing random songs (one guy did half the songs in screamo no matter what it was; it was hilarious. xD) and trying to organise duets was awesome. I still have the recordings! I've thought about trying to set something up on PC from time-to-time since I joined >:3
Iiiinteresting. I kinda stumbled through my early months in PC; I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted to do. In the end I settled for anonymity and sarcasm, in keeping with the real-life me, rather than something a bit more low-key and reserved. Sometimes I wonder if I didn't make a huge mistake, but one cannot fight one's nature, no?~

I was quite hyped about the Gameboy Colour, but that was only because I was very young and handheld gaming was just starting to become a huge thing for me. I used to get VERY excited for games, and every now and then I look forward to one quite a bit (to the point that I might start playing it immediately when I get it) but nothing on the level of the crazed fandoms you see online. Hype for something that might turn out to be crap is a bad idea.

I make a point of seeing movies that look good if they're on at convenient times...I saw The Force Awakens on release last year, and I'll endeavour to see Captain America: Civil War, X-Men: Apocalypse and Kung Fu Panda 3 this year. But I can wait for the DVDs if necessary. I'll get them when they're released anyway, aha.
You haven't?! But the opening theme is so awesome! They removed ALL of the relationships in Cardcaptors. All of them. I was quite surprised to find out there were a large number of canon homosexual pairings in it when I discovered it was based on a Japanese show! Although the cousins thing in Sailor Moon definitely took the cake...although I don't ship Uranus and Neptune, because I loathe Uranus and adore Neptune, aha.

Probably quite a bit of shit, which is why I'll probably never release anything I write for public viewing...I can handle criticism, but that doesn't mean I enjoy it. Hell, even popular writers get a crapton of criticism: I don't like his books, but I really pity George R.R. Martin for the stuff he puts up with.

If you play them enough I reckon you'll finish them quickly; it's amazing what motivation does! My completion times for my platted games on my PSN Profile are very telling regarding my motivation for those games, aha.
It is! Reminds me of those creepy nightmares Link has in Twilight Princess...

Hrmn...I dunno. I haven't played many games like it. But you could make dozens of comparisons; it has a turn-based battle system and a monster growth system. Freakin' Final Fantasy XIII-2 has a monster system! You could even compare the need to digivolve/de-digivolve with Disgaea's Reincarnation system! Comparing it to Persona 4 is an insult...and it just rubs me the wrong way to see a game I'm enjoying compared to one I loathed, I guess.
The 8-bit/16-bit ones in Danganronpa 2's OST. I loved the end to that game, because the soundtrack went retro and it was crazy. The whole arcade game had great soundtrack too. And yes, Kid's World was awesome.
Well, I might, if I've the time. Mother will expect me to play one when she plays the other, probably, because that's how we always do things. But I doubt I will, somehow...unless I get a masochistic streak and insist on playing it solely so I can criticise it. I've done that before. It's never pleasant. XD

    Wincest? /shot
I've seen a couple of well-handled incest plots in anime (OniAi and selector Infected/Spread WIXOSS) but Ikuhara's...yeaaaaaaah. Okay. Never mind. XD

Ha, GamerGate. I can't believe people are still going on about that...

I don't mind getting games for multiplayer, although I prefer PvE to PvP. Sure, make ME pick something! Well, I'll pick the first show, but you have to pick the second! It warrants discussion, though...should we pick something we've not seen before, or a favourite? I have a huge anime backlog, and I'd be quite happy to rewatch a few of my favourites :3

We have Rugby over here instead of American Football...although it's substantially rougher, aha.
Can't worry about everyone in the world, so it's probably better for your sanity to pick and choose, mhm.

Well, you'll never reach the top, which kinda saps the fun out of it, I think. The knowledge that there will always be someone better has always stopped me competing in games with online leaderboards, anyway. I feel like I'm competing against the rest of the world and losing spectacularly. xD

Including this one, 64,868. Give or take.
