...or it's more like I just haven't offended you yet with my views, aha. Which is both surprising and unsurprising in your case in particular. Surprising because some of the things you like I really do not like at all, and unsurprising because I think you're a more sensible and mature individual than to take dislike of your interests as a personal thing when it obviously isn't. I don't mind admitting that this is one of the many reasons I keep people at arm's length though: all it takes is one difference of opinion to put me in people's black books, because I'm highly opinionated and I don't care if I offend someone with that.
I dunno how far it's possible to "know" someone either...I guess it depends on what aspects of your personality you think are important and how you feel about certain people. Sometimes I think others know me better than I know myself, whilst other times I don't think people know what I'm really like at all. I'd call it more irksome than interesting, but I'm a curious person who likes to nail concepts down. xD
Probably. It's difficult to know why people are absent when they don't tell you; sometimes it's nice to know people care, whereas other times it just makes life even more difficult because you've got THAT to worry about as well. I tend to err on the side of caution in those situations and leave people alone until they're ready to talk as well.
Everyone loves the underdog. "Overrated" seems to be becoming overrated on the internet these days, aha. If something gains too much popularity you get this ridiculously vocal minority movement to come along and crush it.
Sparks Fly For Magnemite? No? I thought that obscure reference was fairly obvious! It's something Ash says by mistake ("That Magemite is following Pikachu around like it's a streaker or something") in that episode. Guess I lucked out. The reference isn't funny if you have to explain it. xD
I wanted it to go on for longer! It felt like she relented far too quickly and joined up with the others! I don't really delight in the suffering of magical girls, but that was a turning point for her, and it was done really well. I wanted more of the good thing. xD
Perhaps. I promise nothing, other than that if I ever did, it'd probably shock a lot of people. xD
I occasionally stalk other people's VM conversations too, don't worry. Didn't you join two months after me, though? I was still a newbie myself!
I think that's pretty much a certainty at this point, especially if Nintendo have plans to release the NX this year. I expect, like Twilight Princess, the NX port will be inferior to the original version as well. I haven't given the NX much thought, to be honest...I have too much else to look forward to in the gaming department, and it's hard to get excited for a platform swimming in rumours and little else. Hype isn't really my thing anyway.
I haven't yet, no. I was thinking of seeing it this week, but the cinema times are inconvenient (I like early morning showings) and it's half-term, so the kids will be out and about in full force. I know very little of Deadpool as well, so there's that. I'm nostalgic for this stuff, so even if it's awful I can't help but love it. I miss the days when adaptations of shows were as awesome as Cardcaptors. I guess I'm not enough of a weeb to appreciate the purity of a straight translation, never mind the original works. I'm 90s trash who likes butchered works. xD
I guess it does all depend on your audience, unless you do it for your own personal satisfaction and never publish anything. Same holds true for writing I guess, although it's perhaps not quite as subjective as art is.
Excellent! It'll be good to know what I can safely talk about without spoiling anything, aha. Since I'm playing the game as well right now (sort of) I'll have a fresh memory of things, too. I've played it on and off over the years since its release, but I've only actually finished it once.
...that looks like he's stolen Shulk's skin. It's the eyes. They're blank. Megaman is secretely Hannibal now? @_@
*twitch* Nooo, it's nothing like Persona 4. NOTHING. It's got a little more style to it. The story is rather dull, but the gameplay more than makes up for it. Oh, there are bits and pieces of Danganronpa's OST that are great, but bits of it - like the horrible showdown theme - made me want to turn the volume down. Even if it suits the game (which it does; I can't imagine Danganronpa with an orchestral score more in keeping with my tastes) I just can't stand stuff like that. xD
...and you're putting me right off even giving Fates a chance, aha. I'll wind up with all three games in the house - they're on mother's radar - but whether or not they'll make it into my 3DS...
Messy. For some reason I'm thinking something like the world of NieR meeting the cast of Tactics Ogre. Lots of characters representing a variety of different ideas and beliefs - and lacking any personality of their own beyond that - stuck into a crapsack world mired in tragedy. Throw in a couple of cows, a lesbian threesome, and some implied incest, and we've got our video game. OMG I described Cross Ange only with cows instead of dragons
I don't like SJWs, but I wouldn't blame them for THAT. I suppose it's the same sort of issues - and ignorance surrounding them - that prompts the blame though I suppose. Standards are very skewed on the whole thing at the moment, so it's difficult to establish any kind of precedent. Nintendo are still stuck in the 90s though, which isn't surprising.
Indeed, we have such radically different tastes, and I'm more of a single player person. But sure; playing it with someone I know might actually prompt me to play it for longer than five minutes. I have no decent equipment or anything though, and I'm pretty crap at it due to lack of a second C-stick though, aha. Could be fun, though! Not sure how the streaming site thing would work, but it could be iiiinteresting. It doesn't even have to be something good, either...if you don't mind snarky comments, anyway. xD
Cricket is a fairly big thing in Europe, I think. Or it might even just be Britain. Like tennis. I've never seen Croquet on TV before. I HAVE seen Curling though, which is horrifying. xD
I've never much cared for societal norms or anything like that, I'm very much a "live and let live" sort of person. As long as it doesn't affect me directly, I don't care. Which I suppose is irresponsible, but...meh, it's not for me to tell others how to live their lives. If a teacher wants to have a relationship with their pupil, whatever - it's not something I'd do personally in either position, and I think it's a tad creepy, but it's got nothing to do with me. I'll leave it to other, more interfering people to pass judgements.
For now. How long will your resolve last? xD;
Giving up FFXIV was easy for me; I just stopped paying for a subscription. The incentive was gone when I got the platinum trophy, too. Open-ended multiplayer games are far more difficult to give up even when you're at the best possible position you can be, though. At least, even after I'd gotten the best possible equipment in Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii I'd still invade newbie rooms and hunt lower-level stuff with them.
Also, happy 200th VM!
