  • I just joined very recently, and I know most of the stuff on it has already been discussed, so I'm okay with everything. :)
I tried to get into Smogon, but it's a pretty cliquey group, so I really had no reason to stay. It seems that if you're not a popular member there, they're pretty closed off to ideas. I tried pitching an article idea to their Smog magazine, but it was rejected because an article that was too similar was already published over a year before. They're definitely picky about what goes in.
Just came to remind you that you have until Sunday evening to create your SU for The Digital Connection
Right about what? That we should work as an editing dou and not putting all the stuff on you. DUH of course i did. Are you mad i kinda took control? :C
So what's Mega-Arbok looking like? Mega-Raichu should definitely have more speed and special attack. I would keep the ability Lightningrod because it's great at encore sets that way. I'm not sure about Sandslash, maybe a Ground/Steel typing?
I would keep grass in the base form. I think it's the type combination that fits Serperior best, and I think Grass/Dragon would be best for Mega Serperior. This is for your Showdown project, right?
Hi Nick i'm doing a count of the votes and i'll gather everything, so post your answesr to a-e and i'll PM you the results so you can count votes at the end, is that okay?
I forgot about Serperior's hidden ability. I can only imagine what a Mega Grass/Dragon form with Leaf Storm and Draco Meteor. Okay, I change my mind. That's the new set.

Assault Vest could help, but Tangrowth needs its set-up moves such as Leech Seed, Synthesis, and the various powders. Plus, it needs the EVs in defense if it's going to tank those super-effective hits. Tangrowth doesn't need a huge special defense boost, just enough so that it doesn't fall so easily to special hits.
Well, I do like my grass types!

I'd definitely give Serperior a mega form with a higher attack stat and a secondary Poison typing. It also wouldn't hurt to give it Synthesis. Give that thing a Coil set, and it would be lethal!

I would also have to buff up Breloom's HP stat and defenses to take advantage of its stall set. It's pretty lethal as it is now, but Breloom's usefulness took a hit this gen, so this will help bring it back up.

As my third choice, I have to buff up Tangrowth's special defense. It may be able to take physical hits like no other, but special hits will have it down and out in no time. But not anymore!
hey i know you like grass pokemon if you could improve or dual type any 3 which ones would you pick and in which way would you improve it?

(I picked Sunflora, I gave it a mega form; ability drought. to easily pull of Solar Beams and Weather Balls)
I go to a community college, so I commute. I live with my parents right now because I don't have the means to move out, plus we live ten minutes away from the campus, so it would be kind of pointless to move out now.
Isn't 1984 a book? If so, I think I've read that one. If you're referring to what my textbooks were about, they're Econ and Intro to Education textbooks, so not much to do about history. I hope that's what you were getting at, or else I just missed the ball completely.

Alright, I'll stay away from the sparkly vampires. :P
I haven't read twilight, and I don't plan to. Although, it might be worthwhile just to pick it up and see what the fuss is all about. I've heard the writing isn't the best ever, and you learn from reading both good and bad writing, so it could actually help me.

I've been reading textbooks lately. Oh how I need this break.
And so appears the question I dread. :P

I don't really read much. The amount of books I've read is pitiful when compared to other people. I'll get back to you on this sometime when I've read a bit more. I'm taking a break from college once finals are over this next week, so I'll be having a lot more free time to check out books and authors.
Come look at my fixed mega-Rampardos, Nick!
Also we might try and look for a coder when all is said and done, to make our game.
We don't have a writing class thread, but I can look into it and think about it more. I don't know if I know enough myself to do a class on it, but I can always ask a few of my friends to help along with that. Hmm... a writing class is an interesting idea. I'll have to think more about that one.

If you're looking for feedback, try the Share Your Writing thread. You just post your excerpt and people can give critique. I would do it here, but I don't like critiquing inside VMs. I'm not sure why, but I don't.
