Also, I noticed that the SM dub is having a disturbing trend of changing the voice actors of Pokemon who retained their Japanese name. In previous dub seasons, they usually kept the Japanese voices (such as Ash's Buizel) but now they seem to go through unnecessary dub-overs, such as Kate Bristol replacing Mika Kanai for Togedemaru. Now Jessie's Mimikyu seems to have suffered, with Billy Bob Thompson (Greninja's VA) replacing the Japanese voice.

Even in XY, some Japanese voices got dubbed over, such as Viola's Vivillon.

It's not the sociality, but rather how he's feeling and reacting.

Also, I actually came up with a theory that Ash's personality in SM suggests that he may have autism. I mean, he gets overly obsessed when he sees something new very often in this series, which I easily remember a lot of young kids with autism often do.

Also, I found out who Professor Kukui and Samson Oak's dub voices are. They are voiced by Abe Goldfarb (Xerosic's VA) and Marc Thompson respectively.

Merchandising promotion, I get it now. I wouldn't enjoy Ash having another fully-evolved Fire-type starter as his "ace" starter, especially after both Charizard and Infernape.

According to Bulbapedia, he's voiced by a guy named Roger Callagy. Don't know much about him, so I'm assuming he's new to the voice cast this series.

That is pretty much what Disney XD are doing, and to me it feels like a worse strategy compared to what Cartoon Network did with the weekly basis. No wonder I dreaded bad things when the Disney XD acquirement was announced.

Apparently someone on Serebii did math on Disney XD's Pokemon schedule in the US, and it appears they might not get the Sun & Moon episodes in full until mid-year, so around July or August. That is extremely bad news to any people in the US who only watch the dub.

I can see why Disney XD would want to expose Pokemon better than Cartoon Network did, but having to wait so long for new episodes will definitely hurt the dub-only fanbase. By that point, the Japanese episode count will have probably already reached 50+ episodes of SM.

With Canada already having confirmed they will be airing the full season weekly with SM003 this Saturday, it's very likely that the US will be stuck behind other countries at this rate.

Yeah, that's the one (wasn't sure if that was the correct title). Now that you mention the Japanese release date, there goes my pattern about a 3D Mario game coming out on the same year a swimsuit episode from the Pokémon anime comes out (Sandshrew's Locker came out on 2007 as Super Mario Galaxy, and the Mareanie episode is coming out this year as Super Mario Odyssey).
