Let me revise my statement. Government has no authority without the false belief in the state by its citizens. Meaning if the delusion was removed, and people no longer accept an authority ruling over them, then the state becomes powerless. So the state has authority, but not true authority.
How is it not theft? From my understanding, it is non-voluntary and taxation is backed up with force. There is no contract or opt out option (to an extent, but its very difficult and to avoid taxation would result in jail time). I may very well be wrong, and I am willing to remain open minded! :D
Doubt is based around a fake cell phone game called Rabbit Doubt, and each player represents a rabbit, and there are 6 of them. They have to figure out who the wolf is (he is disguised as a rabbit) and kill him (so sorta like mafia/werewolf/other variations). the 6 friends who played the game online meet together and they all black out, only to find themselves in an old, dirty, abandoned building with one of them hung on the wall dead. And they have to figure out how to escape (its a puzzle) while also figuring out who among them is the killer.
Judge comes next, where different people are locked in an abandoned courthouse and has to figure out who among them deserves to die for their "sins." Sin seems to be a major theme in each series, but I haven't read Judge yet.
I had an anxiety attack after school today when making up a test. I didnt end up taking it, but Im glad it was with my favorite teacher. He was nice and it ended well, and thankfully none of my friends visited his room...
