  • Basically, it's if your friend had the guide and you didn't, so you'd call him, tell him what game you were playing and where you were "Is it before, or after you fight the three-headed Dragon? Oh, you haven't gotten that far? Okay, well you were supposed to speak with the old man at Brick Out city then he would..." Kind of like that, but you could also write letters to them and they'd respond too. It wasn't like you called them and reached someone in a third world country that barely spoke English (no offense to those people). It was pretty personal like they'd say good job or "You got that far on your own? Sweet!Here's what to do next!" just like speaking to your buddy down the street. But writting letters was probably the cheaper of the two ways. I don't think there will ever be another service like the Game Pros ever again. It was a really unique thing to see and behold.
    Hahaha. I actually remember these. The hot-line sometimes cost more than a few pennies though, due to long distance rates at the time haha!
    :D :D :D

    Hope you don't mind, I rescheduled your post as I wanted to get mine up before it wasn't Tuesday anymore in my time zone :)
    I will sit and listen to this for all 10 hours and be content. Mrgrglrglrglrgl
    You got inspiration by that wonderful idea from Pokeggs?

    I'm flattered ;w;
    Are you going to make separate emblems for each hero, or is it just one generic set for the whole thing? Love the thread.
    Yeah, Eleven was... something :p

    Now that you mention the suspense, I'll compare it to 'Homeland' a show that in my opinion, relied on suspense to make it interesting. Every new episode of the show was a whole idea, had a different issue, goal, plot twists were to be expected and they were good without being overused. I guess that is more of my cup of tea :p
    Yeah, that last season of Game of Thrones it'll be hardly matched by any show.
    That's exactly what I think about the show, actually. We discussed this on the Discord server with maccrash and some others. I'm hoping it'll pick up on the second season, I always like to finish what I start watching anyway. I think a perfect example of a show that picked up later is 'The Flash'. The first 16 episodes were awfully boring IMO, but ended up getting pretty interesting.

    I think my main issue with 'Stranger Things' is that it felt like a long episode instead of a whole season. Some people seemed to have liked the fluidity of the show though, maybe it's just that I get too impatient with storyline haha. (The reason why I tend to watch show when they're already finished, actually). If I were to criticize it as a professional critic I'd say only good things about it though; character development was great, specially how they managed to tell the story from the perspective of a group of kids and make it interesting without giving unbelieveable intelligence to them. It really felt like an everyday story and the folks acted like the average person too. That said, as a tv-shows enthusiast, I didn't enjoy the season as much as I did with other shows.
    Yeah I noticed! I like to do that as well, but I am too lazy for my own sake.

    Also, really digging that Stranger Things caption, Although I don't like the show as most people do
