  • I have read the reviews, yes. Realistically, I'm not ignoring them. I was keeping them unanswered for the simple reason that when I do a rewrite of this the problems would be answered then. I understand if you and POB think I am ignoring you, but I'm not.
I spent a few minutes wondering what "it" was.

As for BZP, check it out yourself. I think this is the correct forum (assuming from the OP's avatar, and the fact that every other Google result is for the drug).

Maybe you need drugs to be fnny?

I think we're a long way off from having the Robin Hood of reviewing appear in F&W Forest. (What? I'm almost done reading the novelization of the new movie. It's stuck in my mind.)

As for my depression, that was brought on by all but two of the people I talk to at my store leaving for the other. They even transferred my man. And also, he was out of the country for two weeks, so I had no one to wake me up early in the morning.

Oh, I just found this quote on BZP. It's an author responding to a reviewing saying they have grammar errors:

    :') Amazing, isn't it?
I just went over to the new store to check things out, and I now know why they don't need me over there. Everything is perfectly fixed. I wouldn't have a job at the new store. =(

As to the lack of reviews in F&W, I blame the fact that we're looking for effort from people. I mean, they used to just be able to go into the section, post in the FFL, and look all veteran-y. Now that we're expecting them to read a fic...yeah.

And exams. Some have that for a reason.

Also, I blame the fact that I am getting twenty more hours a week at work for me not reviewing. That, and depression-induced insomnia.
Short response because I'm going to be playing Adventure Island...

Go to Farm, then down to Miscellaneous Options. There's an option to change the skins to various different colors. So at least you're not stuck with another horrible green site? *rimshot*
So...um, PokeFarm? You joined? I thought you didn't like clicking adoptable sites. Or was that just Dragon Cave?
I don't know. I just don't know. I was going to think of a situation where I could understand that, but... I don't know. I'm really not sure where people get the idea that writing a good story is an immediate thing, where all you have to do is type away and the perfect story is sitting there.

idk. That "me bad reader" made me think of Ralph Wiggum. "Me fail english? that's umpossible!"

I'm really wondering what happened to the veterans. They seemed all willing to leap right in and review, but everything died out. Real life is understandable. (I myself haven't reviewed for a while because when my sinuses are plugged, I'm incoherent. I was at work and my manager asked me to read the date off a package. My answer was "Stop trying to confuse me! D:") Where everyone else is, I don't know.

See what happens when the kids don't get their emblems?

About the transfer, one of the owners actually saw me twice, and didn't ask me to go. She asked everyone else in the store except for me and my manager. So there's no moving on up for Astinus. Zie's stuck in the same bad job with a manager who doesn't want to be manager anymore.

If it makes you less likely to use kittens as knives, the guy I'm seeing told me that he wants to be a writer as well. Except he wants someone to tell him everything he did wrong. If he didn't tell me this over IM, I would have hugged him. Or if he wasn't in Poland for two weeks.
I keep going back to that "I'm not finished but I am!" thread and just...laughing at it. It terribly amuses me. I blame the cold I'm fighting now.

Also, I found out last night that the owners of the Ghetto Rite I work at could still be transferring people to the new store that they own. So I could be leaving my store. Or not. You would think they would know who's going where before the store opens in a week. :|

Also, I'm kind of playing the Sims again. Scotty caused the apocalypse to happen in the neighborhood. :c Ender's house got caught in the explosion.
I'm still amused at you thinking Ghetto Right does things legally. We're opening up eleven new stores in CT, and only the new ones have to meet any sort of standards. The ones that are already open don't. Guess who's stuck at an old store.

Also, I had to find an old thread from 2006. Even four bloody years ago on this forum, your posts were taken as flaming by people. Keep the tradition alive!
ahm... Would you like to borrow my club to fend on the arrogant(and not rightfully so) FFers? *cough*KODAHandhis"friend*cough*
They are good ideas. I'm just really glad that we share the same thoughts (hive mind! hive mind!) since I didn't have the time to respond to everything yesterday. (I went to work three times in one day, and worked Saturday morning. I'm not sure why I'm training people when I'm half-asleep myself.) But you said what I could say.

Now to use my modly powers and crush dreams. Maybe that will get things started if I close half the threads people use to procrastinate in.
Rekhyt wanted me to tell everyone that he's leaving the Internet. You're on the special list of people, so...yeah.
Duly noted. I could have handled that better.

This year I've got German and US History, so it's basically peanuts compared to worrying about being able to graduate. Best of luck with that.
I didn't mean to impose on anybody's free speech there, and it could be that I hadn't read the thread as thoroughly as you had, but it seems to me that what's really going on there is that we're intimidating a potential author by dragging out debate for too long. Truth be told, I agree with a number of Silawen's points, but I feel that the thread is mostly going to discourage the author from actually starting to write, which I feel would be a mistake.

All that aside, how have you been lately? We're approaching AP testing week, so things are pretty hectic on my end.
Hey J, just popping in because I know that a lot of the stuff you do (behind the scenes and on stage) tends to go unmentioned. And I don't know about you, but if that was me, I'd be pretty irritated. Just wanted to say that I appreciate the way you're trying to revitalise the fan fiction & writing forum. From the looks of it, you and Astinus seem to be overseeing it all so I figured I'd throw you the VM.

'Lolwtf why is he saying that I haven't seen him post in that board in months!'

True, but the reason I stopped posting there was because of the sense of clique-ness that was omnipresent (that ended up evolving into what it was) so any attempts to abolish it is cool by me. That and lack of time, of course.
