  • I suppose the peak would be getting an actual job where you pay taxes and have debts and... adult problems. Let's just say I don't want to grow up, but it's not so green in my own pasture either.

It almost sounds like cosplay science, but yeah, the point of cosplay is to best reflect the character through their outfit, yet it shouldn't be completely on the outfit, I suppose. I get what you mean, but I find it hard to formulate into words. But basically, it's hard to portray characters as easily, although it is viable and the 'feel' is a big part of cosplaying. In any case, it's all in good fun anyway, so as long as you do have fun, I don't think it matters if you're good at cosplaying or not, unless you're being serious and want some form of criticism. Then again, maybe that's taking away the culture of cosplay.

So far my streak is two, which is far better than one.

The towns practically leave and breathe off the pages when you look at the ones with Gym Leaders and how they protect their little town. It does give the world a new breath of life. And the other minor characters have unique personalities, which you don't get when you play the games due to the lack of interaction other than a line of dialogue and the occasional person who gives you a random item.
I hear you. I didn't know how literal 'school is my occupation' meant until recently.

And it happened again! I found someone else who's an anime fan because I flipped through their phone and found anime songs.

Having any parent in the cosplay industry would be a major bonus. It's a bit disheartening when your parents don't support you in your interests, so when they do push you in that direction, you'll start running quicker. I do get that cosplaying can mean temporarily being the character, especially with comic cons and all. Like I remember seeing a handful of people dressing up as Batman when I watched The Dark Knight Rises. But becoming the character...? Well, I can see where you're coming from, but some cosplay doesn't work in my eyes on the aesthetic level, so I'm not that much of a critic except for appearance.

One of the most enticing features of Pokemon Special is that the characters age and develop. It's a relief to read a Pokemon storyline where the main characters develop and keep that development. And with the realism comes the maturity, especially with the deaths and blood. Of course, you'll get that once you step away from child-protected barriers.
That only means I should steal peoples' phones more often.

Aw man, in middle school I was pretty much an *******. There was one girl in my class who drew manga and read manga, but I don't think anyone really bullied her for it or belittled her. I mean, everyone has their own circle of friends so they're always accepted somehow. I guess it's just that in middle school, everyone's immature while in university, most of the people are mature enough to either not care about your interests or accept them as they are.

That's like a professional cosplaying then? Cool, I guess xD But there aren't that many people who are good at cosplaying, and I find that some people just end up looking kind of ridiculous given their character choice, although it's all about having fun and being comfortable expressing your love for anime and all, so it's not a big deal about appearances anyway xD

The anime is the most exposed medium, and it's hard to get into a series once you feel like you know how it's gonna end up. I find the manga to be the most interesting part of the Pokemon franchise, specifically Pokemon Special, which I would recommend to virtually everyone who likes reading manga and Pokemon.

GIVE POKEMON A CHANCE PEOPLE :C
I did find out some guy I met on the first day of school was into anime because I looked through the songs on his iPod and found opening songs and ending songs for FMA and Toradora!

When people hear anime/manga hear, one of the most immediate associations is, "That's the tentacle porn, right?" So yeah, it's pretty much exactly what you said. I'm pretty sure people called me weird when I started sketching manga characters whenever I got bored in class, which happened to be all the time. Either way, people are still a bit too judgmental against people who have interests that aren't exactly commonplace. Although I will admit that I will never ever cosplay, so I kind of understand where people come from when they don't find anime appeasing.

There are a few people who can tolerate Pokemon, mainly because they played it like everyone else did (and if you didn't, you had a terrible childhood), so it's more along the lines of reminiscing for them. But the anime does give it a bad name, because, let's face it, it's not very good xD
Definitely! Then you can get all excited and proclaim each other as best friends or lost soul mates. At least that's what I do. It's more fun that way. Too bad a lot of things people are interested in are generally shunned or frowned upon in a sense where I am. Like, "People who play Pokemon are weird."

That doesn't help meeting other Pokemon masters :c
    I FORGOT TO RESPOND D:

I suppose it is a little hard to find other people with your 'obscure' interests without asking people randomly and awkwardly xD
Why isn't it popular? The world may never know.

Last year I talked to this girl who played Pokemon on her DS on the bus, and we had a lovely conversation about how Emboar sucks. Actually, it was just me stating my hate for it as a starter. Evidently I spoke a bit loudly (or my friends are extremely good at eavesdropping) as one of my friends got me a Riolu-PokeBall toy for Christmas.

    Gotta express your feelings, man.
It's a wonder why people don't, but then again, it was made in 2007 and it didn't hit off for some reason. When I looked at discussions, people complained about how ecchi anime got most of the attention. I'd love for it to get a fanbase! Funny how I realized how many people recognized it when I changed my theme to it xD
It almost makes me depressed about how underrated the anime is and how much money was invested, yet it didn't sell off D:
Most definitely! I'm kinda surprised I never heard of it until I stumbled on it on Netflix
Hmmm wonder what will be next! ;3

Yeah, I found some old gradient text and wanted to use it, and found Okami avatars that matched, so I was excited. :D And I haven't had the time to play this week really, but so far it has been nice! A few grammar problems though haha. I think someone in the game said "I'm have" to me once...but I'm not far so eh.

I haven't done my own graphics in a looong time. XD I used to make icons a lot but ehhhh.

    Thank you! :D
We had Zelda themes at the same time once as well, lol. Though you were SS and I was OoT. :> And thanks! I didn't make the icons though haha. Just grabbed them off LiveJournal. I bought Okamiden on my birthday and thought I could use an Okami theme. :3 Couldn't find any good Chibiterasu icons though. btw, I got Skyward Sword! :D
