I get so sick of the endless urban sprawl here. All it is is little culdesac after culdesac of practically identical houses, all with the same size front and back yard (about 1/2 acre together), doing nothing but wasting space because everybody got sick of living in the capital and wanted their "American Dream" stick house.
This house isn't ten years old and the owner has already fooled herself into believing she can contain the roach infestation. The last house our family lived in (my mother sister and I)? It was well over 50 years old and the only bugs we ever got were springtime bugs mainly from our numerous cats, the rest being minimal amounts of outside bugs that accidentally wandered in. She had the gaul to complain about our bugs when we lived there.
You know where I'd like to live? The jungle. It'd be nice, hopefully quiet, and secluded, where nobody would bother me. If that's not an option for me I'd likely pick its opposite and move to New York or Los Angeles.
