Thank you. I like having long term final goals on videogames, so I would want as many Pokémon as possible to be in the game. I hadn't considered Miiverse; it could be a good way to share player's photos and judge in contests through user votes.
Another thing I thought of is the locations. The...
Personally, I mostly prefer the remakes. That's FRLG over RB, HGSS over GS, and RS equally to ORAS for me. That last one may be in part because of nostalgia, as Ruby was my first main Pokémon game.
I think a Pokémon Snap sequel would be pretty nice. It could be like with Star Fox Zero where the player aims with the GamePad's screen through a first-person view, and gets a third-person view of the vehicle and the Pokémon around it on the TV screen.
Also, with all the Pokémon there are now...
It seems most people think like that. When I said that I would like both aspects of the game to coexist and be more connected, what I had in mind was a system that allowed players to prepare for competitive play just by playing regularly though the games (for example, the ability to raise a...
Some time ago, there was a thread in these forums questioning if GameFreak should cater to competitive players. One of the points made on that thread was how the competitive aspect of the Pokémon games seems to conflict with the series’ concept of befriending Pokémon and having them achieve...
I do if I like them.
This means I often use the box legendaries, since they are usually the main reason I choose one version over another; in general, if I'm playing White, it means I like Zekrom and want to have one with me.
On the poll, I voted yes. Even though I'm not into competitive battling right now, I think it's good that players who are will not have to spend as much time breeding and training their Pokémon as they did before. I would have appreciated the current breeding mechanics in past games.
And I do...
I would like to see Diamond and Pearl remakes next, though they likely won't happen for a few years. Besides the new mechanics, I would expect the games to play faster than the originals.
They could also introduce new forms for Dialga and Palkia. Similar to Giratina's Origin Forme, and to how...
I think anything like Memory Link could remove the need to ignore or adapt any previous versions. Even just keeping references to previous games ambiguous enough that they can be interpreted as being any of the different versions (and ideally as having been experienced by either protagonist in...
But then we get the problem you mentioned of invalidating some story variations and alienating players, which is what I wanted to address with my last post. If changing a past hero's gender is an issue because some people may have played as the other, changing the story's events should also be...
Well, as long as there are multiple versions, some things will have to get ignored or changed in favor of others when a later game references something that happened in earlier versions; they have to choose a version to reference. But with time branches, we can have all these slightly different...
So is it canon that the new Pokémon introduced in each generation are all recently discovered at the time those games take place? I thought that was only done in GSC, or only with some Pokémon in the later games.
I actually thought it was pretty nice. This apparent mess could actually be...
This may be a bit beside your point, but doesn't "retcon" mean that a new bit of story replaces an older one? If these are alternate timelines like Zinnia suggests, wouldn't that mean that nothing has actually been replaced?
Any contradictions between different games would be because their...
