  • All that should be in your lore book for personal reference, by the way. Then work the more important details into your story.
    Ah!

World-building is quite important for a sci-fi or a fantasy series. Try to visualize how the world looks in your head and then be as descriptive as you can, then work backwards from there to remove what details you feel are too in-depth.

Spend some time on the side building the universe lore and backstory so you have something to refer to keep your story consistent and as a way to work on your worldbuilding. Also, if you haven't already, you may want to specifically define traits, culture, and appearances for each of the core species. Also, get into details about how the various places in the story are supposed to look and keep it in the same place as your lore and race/species traits. Then make sure you have your character profiles defined so you reduce your risk of putting the character out of character.
If you ever want help with any part of what was said I can offering some advice too. Just ask. :)

Yay for staff stories. I wrote one for an actual modding actually, haha. (It was for Astinus' smodding to boot!)
TOO LATE I ALREADY LOOKED I already had a tab open, haha.

Never been to such things like a creative writing conference, sounds pretty neat! I hope you enjoy that.

Don't be too down about the review or whatnot. We all have slipups or stuff to improve on with writing. Heck, for a good while I was maiming dialogue punctuation in my fic until someone pointed out to me the correct way to do it, herp. Probably would have been good for myself to have been told that before I hit my tenth chapter of my first fic. :V
Yeah, it's an interesting thing they do. Though, it takes a little bit of work to get the event to activate.
Looker's saga takes place in Lumiose. I think you have to battle your rival in Kiloude City before you can meet the professor and then get contacted by Looker. Each chapter takes place in Lumiose and it's an interesting addition to the Team Flare saga. Even after all the hastle of dealing with them, one of their scientists isn't done yet.
Well, people complained about there not being a real post game in X/Y, but there's actually a few interesting post-game missions. Aside from finding all the Mega Stones, you can meet up with Looker and work as his partner in a mini-saga known as The Looker Bureau. It's kind of a fun little detective story.
*pokes* Not sure if you've seen my question regarding that CAP article on the bbs, so if not go check it. Also that battle test thing too!

    How goes, btw?
I was pretty inactive (just a lurker making few posts) back then, so people probably didn't know who I was when I posted that haha.. but I somehow have to laugh when I look at my older posts because of how different I wrote back then XD
Not only that, but neither of us knew that we'd be staff members in the future either, probably.
Yeah, about that.. someone asked in CQ&F this morning on how to upload an attachment, so I searched for "attachment" and found that haha.. it was because I had posted a tutorial in the past and I was just going to reuse that.
I never got into doing Pokémon personality quizzes, but I guess some people might find them fun. In PMD, it was limited only to the starters and a few other Pokémon like Pikachu, Eevee, Riolu, and Shinx. I liked Gates to Infinity because you can actually choose your character. I chose Axew with Snivy as my partner. Since we started talking about the games, I decided to pick up where I left off in PMD: GtI. I forgot that I never finished the post game stuff. >.>
Oh hey, I just found this! Apparently we've had a previous encounter before the two of us were really active on PC xD
well often we're our own worst critics and sometimes we need to not listen to that nagging voice that lingers between the conscious and subconscious parts of the mind
