  • Well, at least PC's fanfic forum has activity. PB's would go days or weeks with posts, and a lot of the time I made posts just to put up the facade of activity.
It happens. Just don't quit because of it. Being a fanfic mod is a test of patience. I was lucky to make it two years on PB before I was forced to quit.
Ack, I forgot to ask if I could enter Biohazard in the drawing for the weekly fanfic thing. Is there still time? Are you still hosting it?
PC is bigger than PB, by a huge margin. There are also slightly better writers here too. PB's writing forum was kind of small potatoes compared to here.
Well, if it's any consolation, I used to enter my haiku contest on PokeBeach, but only when there weren't a lot of entries.
Heh, yeah, I still need to get working on them both. My entry was originally going to just be a short story I was going to post eventually, but I don't mind entering it in a contest instead. It makes it a little more meaningful that way, I guess.
Hurrah, freedom! Enjoy it while it lasts (but don't forget about smaller projects, of course. =p)
Its okay lol, I don't mind. Spoilers make me want to watch them MORE than be upset that the surprised scene won't be as surprising or whatever people complain about these days haha. I have the mentally to be like, "DOES IT REALLY? I WANT TO SEE FOR MYSELF!!!" kind of thing. lol

Yeah, well TV shows is easier as you can pretty much pinpoint which celebrity you think best fit the description, but you need makeups/wigs/costumes/etc to make it perfect. Yeah.
I haven't seen the 2nd Hunger Games yet, I would love to. How was it? I don't care for spoilers so go ahead if you feel the need to share something haha.

It works differently for everyone, so the acting part may not help. How do you go about the characters creation? Like do you know of a place where you can easily design your own character? I have the sense of how I want my characters to look like, but I don't know exactly how to put it out there, explain it or put it into words. If you know what I'm saying?

    Yeah! \m/
Ah, that's right... I forgot you said you were in college. That takes up a lot out of your time, even if you're not working at the same time.

Well, anyways, I'm still trying to finish it. I started it around Halloween, but didn't have time or motivation to finish it until now. Also, I should have my entry for your contest in soon. I've been working all week, otherwise I probably would've had my final draft done by now.
Yeah, it is a one-shot. When I finish, I send you it to proofread first. It isn't a creepypasta, but it is dark. The monster is one of my Fakemon, but it's a vengeful ghost-type trying to take its anger out on its former trainer.
Reading=/=Writing. They are two completely different things.

I am the same way with you on the reading the book part, but I just simply don't do it. Like I've told my friends many times, I prefer watching a TV show or movie over reading a book, despite if they are better in reading than watching, like the Hunger Games or Harry Potter.

In all actuality, I actually act out in my bedroom, on my own time, how I want my story to turn out. I really like how that goes, acting the scene out. I used to act with my nephew years ago when he lived in Ohio before he moved to South Carolina. We did it all the time then. I think that helps. Its like writing your own song, you sit there with a guitar, you sing verses until it makes sense as you're scribbling down ideas on a notebook in front of you. You're singing, sounding it out rather than thinking about it to give yourself a headache.
Really? It doesn't seem that hard at all. Is it, perhaps, the deadline or the pressure that is giving them the "too much to handle" quote?

Mmm, in the books, it could sound more confusing in the movies/TV. Specifically because in the books, you're not observing what is going on, you have to imagine it. & if you get lost, you'd have to go back. reread at the point where you lost yourself. That is if you've started to skim a little & misunderstand parts of the play/scenes while reading, especially if there is a 2-stories-occurring-at-once. The movies/TV have something to visualize, so its less chance of getting confused, It's like you're there spiritually, just stalking the other people do their roles. Know what I'm saying?

If there is REEEEEEALLY a book/novel that I find interesting or happen to love a series/franchise of, I'll read it. Otherwise, I myself, really am not much of a reader. x)
You clearly didn't try hard enough. =p

I am not sure where you got that idea myself, haha. And did you find out!?
Yeah. I think the influences of watching a lot of the TV shows, especially on the CW (Arrow, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Hart of Dixie, etc) have brushed off on me to do something like that. They usually have more than 1 things going on, separating the characters to do this & that. That's probably where I have the mind process from, watching closely how the storylines are combined & whatnot. If I have the slightest clue that it'll hurt my show a bit, I'll take a step back. Refresh my mind, then see what other path I can take to make it better than the previous path. Do people get frustrated at that? I don't, I find it relaxing, makes me think a little. lol

Thank you :) Maybe you should try watching some TV shows to learn how to do it. Never know, you might end up being the best at it with your stories ;)

I'm going to bed now though, 4AM here. Night!
It was just a question, I was going with 2. I don't want to do 3, just wanted your insight haha BUT...

Remember when I said there were two main characters to appear on every episodes? Well they're both going to be on the same side and all that. There are multiple times that they will split to do their own arcs/adventures. Basically two different events happening and both main characters are split due to it. Get where I'm going with this? Have you watched the TV series, Arrow? An example.

I'm not going with 3 at all. No way jose.
Well, I guess that's what mine is, except there are more downfalls that will happen than being the "God" of every situation. It's an interesting twist I'm making it, with weaknesses that will take place which will leave a scar, etc.

Yeah, I love the progress. I actually love the characters I've implemented more so than anything. I do have a question. How many "arcs," do you think should be running at once? 2? Like...Ever watched CSI Miami? I remember when I watched it that, they had two crime scenes being investigated at once or whatever. That's like two storylines taking place at once? Back to my story, but no rush, no dragging it out, just perfect pace to keep the audience interested? Do you think its possible to have 3, max? But not all within the same episodes?
