  • I would love that too but unfortunately I think they'll do the same as with Pokemon Ranger back then - if you want to have a Manaphy egg in DPPt then you have to play through a copy of Ranger. So I think that if you want an Arceus, then you have to catch one in Legends: Arceus and transfer it to BDSP. Shaymin and Darkrai may have a chance to be in-game in both versions imo, but I'm afraid that Arceus doesn't.
We're really lucky to have you as part of our community Rekoil, I love your creativity and giving spirit, and our forum is a more fun and caring place because of you.

I have contacted one of our administrators about a special badge to commemorate this winter event, and he told me that he would let me know soon. I have my fingers crossed, if there's any reason why they can't create one though we will still come up with something to reward members with.

The existing clubhouse badges are a couch for club members, and a little house for club owners. Moderators can award them in bronze, silver or gold with sparkles at our discretion, but admins I think can make the badge any color they want, which is why you sometimes see badges that are colors like pink or blue. So if they don't approve a new badge, they might be willing to bestow the existing clubhouse badges in a rare color like maybe something like red and green for the Christmas seasons, or an icy blue for winter, never hurts to ask.

If a brand new badge does get approved then you would pick an icon from this catalog.

While delibird isn't an option I'm afraid, there are real world birds, and a lot of winter holiday themed icons though like candy canes, gifts, sleighs, snowflakes, there's literally thousands of possibilities.

If you want a really specific design though we could maybe give out something like a trophy, like this one that members got during a clubhouse end of year festival last year. Fairy made this for the second place winner, which was a tie between the water Pokemon club and nature club. It's called the Silver Sylveon award. There's also a Golden Milotic for first place.

Fairy is on leave right now, but we might be able to collaborate with the art studio or something to make us something. A special event like this one needs some extra magic.
Hi again ReKoil, sorry about the super late reply, university has been kicking my butt and I've had to step down from staff/PC for a bit!

Definitely no pressure to turn your games into events or even create new events for the section btw, hosting them as one person can be quite demanding haha - I just wanted to let you know that we'd be happy to sticky any of your games that you wanted to give a fair chance! And of course, any events you create, we'll sticky those too. ^ ^ For instance, games like "spot the difference" get buried fast under post-and-go threads, so if you're still interested or wanted to make a new version, it's fine. :D That said, you seem to have some great event ideas!

I think the coin case/Game Corner idea could be made a permanent event in the future if it's implemented - especially if VisionofMilotic and I can find a way to automatically track posts, instead of users keeping track themselves! That's the biggest flaw of posting events since we're all lazy these days. :') It kinda scares people off hahah. But I'll 100% keep this idea in mind for when such an event is possible, and the same goes for the Safari Zone. ^ ^ It's a really cool idea, but as you said, it'd need a couple of dedicated hosts to work things out together!

Thanks for all the input :D
    Hi there Rekoil!

It's been a pleasure to have you with us in the clubhouse. I love this new ice club, and am so glad that you've got the holiday spirit. I am a big fan of Pokemon trading, and think your plan for an ice-themed wonder/surprise trade for members is an awesome idea! I did something like this a little similar with the dragon Pokemon club last year.

Members can absolutely host events, and it's really a special treat when they do. CiCi did a fun challenge in 2020 as part of the Dream Weavers where folks had to make creative content inspired by their dreams like drawings, short stories etc. We had some holiday clubs once and did things like Easter egg dying, and Christmas decoration showcases, Halloween costume contests. G-Money gave away presents to shiny hunters with the best nicknames for their captured Pokemon. So yes, you have some liberty to plan events! I think it's very clever of you making this during the Christmas season since it's a time of cool weather to fit the ice typing, and it's also traditionally a time of giving and charity, so it makes sense to share with one another through trade :)

Badges can be given out for participation in club events too, just like I'm giving out one in the sci-fi club, Prof Plum likewise gives out a cat badge to members of the cat club "litter box." Badges are normally awarded by moderators, but I would be more than happy to give out badges to anyone in your club who has earned them on your behalf. We would have to get permission from an administrator, because all badges have to be approved first by them, but I'm ready to make the case to them for it.

If they are cool with it then you will have yourself a badge, and I'll be eager to show you all the different styles you can chose from :)
I think this is the best way to give out Manaphy, especially since scalpers and bots are everywhere now when it comes to special editions. As I said, I hope that we'll get more in the future :)

Boy, was I lucky during the raids from 23:15 to 00:30 - I encountered three shinies - one for each starter and managed to catch it :O Later I saw other two, but failed to catch it (that's what I expect from shinies now btw). I gotta admit tho, two of them were hosted by Shiny Den Hosters - thtable.com (this one I already knew) and Kittenwitch (this one I found today). The other one was Corbin, but can't tell if he hosts shinies, didn't encounter one. Also I couldn't join two Xana Raid Battles (she hosts shinies). Oh well :O

On a side note, I now have these three in these balls (kinda felt these common ones fit the best for them):
    - Rowlet: Nest, Dark, Net
    - Litten: Dark, Luxury, Repeat
    - Popplio: Dive, Premier, Great

Thank you again for reminding and giving me a reason to do them tonight :)
    Yes, that was Chatots gimmick.
Most likely but that's an interesting point - I wonder which BDSP pokemon will be able to learn a "revived" move that can't be used in SwSh.

Sadly I don't remember that fight xD
But I do remember Cynthia...took me like 8+ tries or so. I even had to teach my Impoleon, Luxray (and probably Dialga and Staraptor) some TMs before the battle - something I never done before up to this point in the game.

Wait, do you have to pre-order BDSP to get Manaphy? From my understanding it will be available to everyone who goes to Mystery Gift (or something) until a certain date to obtain it for free. Also never tested that (since I never got a Manaphy), but you should be able to breed unlimited amounts of Phione with Manaphy + Ditto - I also think that Phione + Ditto won't work, Phione eggs probably need that extra hydration that they can only get with the former combo xD

Thanks for reminding me of the Alola Starter Raid Event. I saw it and thought to myself that it is useless for me since I already have bred + EV trained them.
But then you brought out an interesting point - I remember wanting a Primarina in a Dive Ball but couldn't get it since (as you kinda mentioned) they were only available with Pokeball. Now I can get some in balls I have plenty of (e.g. Nest, Dive, etc.) and I might do that (just to have them if needed) - thank you very much :D

Gongrats on that Moon Ball Litten :D Maybe you'll get lucky and find the others too :)
I don't either. I never do competitive stuff but think some mons I got are/were made for competitive.
RIP Chatots DS gimmick btw :(

I really wonder which "deleted moves" (= excluded from SwSh) will return. Hidden Power has to return for Unown.
And I wish that Silver Wind returns too - Finneon/Lumineon were the only Water-Type Pokemon to know this move, which made them unique (usually a number of Bug Types knew this)

Pachirisu even won a Pkmn World Championship tourney btw xD It suprised everyone back in 2016 or earlier (according to False Swipe Gaming), not quite sure haha.
Can't wait to see how (you and) I will do against Mars's famous Purugly xD

What's also good of having two versions is that you can double-dip on Mystery Gifts :D
I hope that they will offer more of the ones that are hard/impossible to catch (legendaries/mythicals) and a big variety, just like back in the day of DPPt.
So you'll start with the latter version after you finished the former version - interesting.

Same with me (with what you use for the first version, except Empoleon) - if I would use the same mons like back in the day (Empoleon, Staraptor, Luxray) things wouldn't be kinda fun. Also I kinda had my shot with most of the Gen 4 Pokemons in SwSh, so I really want to get back to using Pokemons I could've used before DPPt, especially 2nd Gen Pokemon (like Ampharos, Murkrow/Honchkrow and others) but didn't (because I was a cheap child relying partly/mostly on legendaries back then xD). Maybe I'll also use some non-evolutions for my second playthrough like Chatot and Pachirisu just to make things interesting and a bit more harder xD
Nice choice :) You can always feed a Max Soup anytime but not remove it anymore once it is done. If you may plan to transfer a few shinies to BDSP then it may be a good idea to see if such Gigantamax-Pkmn can be transferred and if they lose their form or not.

I guess you can call this destiny xD
Well, there is enough time until then :) As for me, I may want to use certain pokemon for BD that were unobtainable in SwSh, and on SP...maybe I'll use the same + mostly overlooked two-stage-evolution pokemon like Lumineon, Kricketune and other...or I may go for Memeon only (like Kricketune, Furret and other xD)
Oh boi...can't believe you're still alive after all that xD If so then you must be kinda exhausted lol
Good choice, just in case you want to use it in the future.

Haha, beware. They might unite with other abandoned Sandshrews and start a riot :O
So, which evolution line will you target next? Oh and btw...will you do this with certain Pkmn that are only obtainable in 8th Gens BDSP?
I see. Good point, since this is made as a place for people with the same/similar goals to easier meet with eachother and helping eachother out to accomplish their goals :)

Oh boi, so many abandoned Pokemon just because they were not the colour your wanted...you colourist xD
But then again, how many have I abandoned just because they weren't the IVs/Nature/Ability/Gender I wanted to :O
Oh boi, what a troll xD But yeah, that kinda sucks, especially if you get one of your favourites out during a trade evolution, only to be snatched by a thief.

I see - well I assume that so far everything went as planned for you in this gen (= no thiefs)
