What genre do you usually watch?

My interview was kind of different from most people because they asked me to do a reenactment of one of my lines from when I worked part time at a Children's Museum/Amusement Park in Japan teaching English-- and that was kind of my lesson plan demo part. They did ask me what I would do with high schoolers who don't want to participate and I said "make it a competition/game". But regardless I don't think the interview is really all that hard because... Well, some people I've met on this program I'm.... amazed they got in. LMFAO

But yeah if you're not looking to be a spoken translator, if your kanji is on point then you're pretty much set probably! You should def look into it if it's still a track you're interested in!

I mean, Zeref said that Natsu would die if he did. Speaking of that, wouldn't that mean that if at any point Zeref loses all of his magic, then Natsu would die or at least become catatonic? Maybe that was what happened with that cancer crap

Sheep-san my friend and I came up with the perfect ending for Fairy Tail. It should be like, Natsu kills Zeref with his own Dark Magic, and right before Natsu goes then he sees a fairy, and he goes like "So fairies...do have tails..." and he hits the ground and he's grinning and he dies

I actually checked the Pokemon Center site, and apparently they don't sell or they ran out of the Zoroark pins packs on it. And apparently the store that I got my pin at only had one left as I went back there yesterday for the interview and they didn't have any Zoroark pins. I want to get soem more of those pins because look pretty awesome. I need to get a picture taken of the pin so that I can add it to my album and I need to get a picture of the coin, playmat, and whatever else that was cool that I got in the Night Striker deck.

Okay, I like it. It's an interesting color change with my silver, black and green color scheme.

Nah I think it varies from location to location-- but free time is a huge thing for JETs in Tokyo I think haha! But yeah, just an ALT-- I'm allowed to say whatever I want in the classroom, but there's not usually much TO say. Not like the students will understand me anyway hahaha their level is ridiculously low. But yeah basically our job is to give the students a /reason/ to speak English cause otherwise there's literally no incentive to learning it since you'll never use it here!

I think the problem is actually the foreign-born Japanese kids! It's a problem in job hunting too-- cause since they all grew up in bilingual families they're super competitive. If you look at like, TV shows with english speaking celebrities having a translator behind them you'll notice they're all asian women. /wind But yeah the amount of straight-up non-Asian foreigners who have passed the N1 and then go on to actually use it to translate is pretty slim probably!

I'm not really made for teaching myself either, but I actually find myself sitting at my desk surfing PC, facebook, tumblr, and archiveofourown more often than I'm actually in the classroom. (Like right now hahaha)

But yeah language school seems rough on the wallet-- and being a translator is tough too I hear? It's a pretty competitive market apparently...

Aahh me too! But my story's not so exciting haha the first year I was studying abroad for a year, and now I'm on the JET Programme for ~2 years maybe 3! I saw that you'd planned a trip here but it didn't quite come to fruition-- are you thinking of trying to visit again someday? : D

Yay and boo X3. At least you're getting a day off, but it sucks that you're sick. But I think you really need the free time off of work. I wish I wasn't busy today, but I gotta fill out a job application and make a resume for a store that is now hiring.

By the way, I did get some more TCG cards. I didn't get anything too special, but I did get a Houndoom EX card and I got a Noivern BREAK card which was actually pretty lucky since I also bought the Night Striker deck which came with 2 Noivern cards. I also got a very cute Zoroark pin, I went to the store and saw that they had a Zoroark pin that also came with 3 booster packs and I immediately bought it.
