Yeah. Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata did a good job with it. That's one of the things that I love about Death Note and anime like it where the creators aren't afraid to kill the characters, and when some system of resurrecting them is absent. That's one of the things I didn't like about Dragon Ball Z. So Goku's dead? Well why am I supposed to give a Damn? He's just going to be resurrected! Or all the other characters who end up dying. (Another thing I didn't like was that half the episodes were filler.) I also like Attack on Titan since any character can die, which makes all the battles seem more realistic and the Titans More threatening.
