Pokemon Blue. Ah the good old days. Back when there was a reasonable amount of pokemon to catch.

I used the EXACT colors that were used in the original pokeball sprite. I also did not move it whatsover and as you can see the first pixel would be the color that should be transparent. Also, I used Photoshop CS4, when saving as a bmp, it gives the option for 4bpp.

Is there anything you always do in pokemon games? For me, I'm always the girl in Crystal ("OMG IT R TEH INOVATIV!"), And I always choose Bulbasaur, Totodile, and Torchic in their respective games (God forbid someone put more than one of these as a starter in a hack, let alone all 3, my head...

Yeah, I had trouble getting it to look right. It's too big and too high up, but any smaller and it's hard to see and any lower and it starts going into it's chest area. Updated my Advance Character: Back sprite bugs me. Any tips? Oh, and yes, that is a blue mullet.

I agree, the Espeon/Articuno/Salamence splice came out very nicely! Might I suggest moving the wings up more on the back though?

Hey everybody, I've been spriting on and off for a few years now, and decided to make a thread to show some of my work. Just recently changed computers though, so I had to start over from scratch. I haven't really delved into pokemon spriting that much, but I think I can do okay. Devamps...

Either Blue or Gold for me. I didn't get red until shortly before Ruby/Saphire came out, and Silver was the version my brother played. Yellow is definitely my third choice though. If I was to pick one version though... I'd have to say Blue. It's a classic.

My first playthrough of any of the Official game always leads to me leveling my starter up WAAAAY more than the rest of my pokemon. Usually the second playthrough or so will lead to leveling a team of them though.

The old games are pretty much all I play. I'll play through the newest game up till beating the Elite 4, but I've played blue and gold through several times, even getting all the pokemon except Mew in blue! And the graphics are just fine to. Sure, some are bad (Mostly the back sprites IMO) but...

I think I might have got them all in blue (Except Mew), but I never even tried to in gold and silver. I hope to someday though!
