What is social pain? Well, since I'd prefer not to talk about emotional pain let's talk about physical pain. Well, I haven't been through much Physical pain, so I'd say I'm lucky. The worst was when I slammed my finger in a door, then proceeded to take a state test with said finger almost broken.

Really depends on what I'm memorizing. If it's something mundane like that I have to pick up my socks by x time, I forget almost immediately. If it's something I'm interested like who won the Battle of Agincourt, I usually have a spot-on memory.

I'm not the best person to take advice from, but your shoes aren't going to do much to leave an impression. Honestly, unless he has a foot fetish of some sort, he's not going to be staring at your shoes the whole time. Just be nice to the guy, and he'll probably be fine.
