  • Yeah Serebii would definitely have the level up moves. Maybe showdown does?
I'm not sure if Showdown hsows how the moves are learnt.
Hey Touched, I'll be able to have the animation ready pretty soon I reckon. I have my exam on Saturday, after that I'll be totally free. Going to be starting on the rombase again.

Move sets is going to be a total bitch, so I was wondering if you could help me out, by writing some sort of python-y script or what not, like you did for Platinum Red, to convert the bulbapedia info into bytes. My rombase uses the exact same index numbers as Bulbapedia which should make it more helpful. I guess the ORAS ones would be the best if that's not too much work. My rom is expanded to 1023 moves which I believe is in the form: reverse index + level, to make 3 bytes.

If you can't I totally get that, I just figure doing it by hand would be uber dull.

    Thanks buddy :)
It froze (using VBA SDL-H). Should I set the breakpoint in the routine at the "bx r?" part of the routine? That's what I have done to the routines.
It's fine. And yeah, did give it a little look and it seems that AMap's being arrogant and doesn't want to read the duplicate. I guess I'll just have to wait for the rerelease of MEH or something, but I am happy enough to know that there's actually more maps in the ROM now.
(Edited cause this post because there's no point of making a new one)

I was wondering if you could help me research and expand Emerald's map headers. I've also been wondering how to add maps to the Kanto headers (because they can be used for better things instead of just trading names) The thing I'm working on pretty much needs all of Hoenn intact while needing around 40 new headers.

    Hope you can help ^_^
Sorry that I have turned back on you for a while. Hacking has been once a week for me since that I use anyone's PC by now.

Anyways... after the breakpoints part, what should I do next?
No, relax, I understood every bit, and I'm not just saying! HAHAHAHA
Basically, I just write a code and compile it so the computer can understand. High Level Language to Low Level Language (or Programming, whatever).
Well, back to the lab, I'm going to study some programming with GUI designing in mind.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
    =D
    Got it.
I'm going to get a little deeper in Java and then C#, maybe.
Not thinking about a hacking tool, I just got excited with programming through some college's disciplines.
Without and IDE, how do you make a program work?
Like I said, in college, we used Netbeans. Not much explained, we learned how to program baaaaasic stuff. And we only ran codes in Netbeans itself. Didn't even know what an IDE was, until now... =P
Again, without an IDE, how do you make a code work? How do you test it?
Also, how do you transform it into a program, independant of programming? You just open it and there it is.
Thanks a lot bro, I'll try learning GUI designing. My problem will probably be learning how to fuse hex editing in another programming language. I have little-to-no Java knowledge. Do you know if that's possible to make a tool with only Java?
Also, bro, can you point me to some tutorials, programs (like Netbeans) or sites that can help me get started in C, C++ or C#?
Hi. I have a little question. When I try to download IDA, it gives me an error. Do you know any other way to download it?
And, in your Mega Evolution GitHub, you said "make" is this the same program that comes from DevkitARM or is it something else?
And compiling C seems a bit a new to me. I wanted to insert the Oak Tutorial from GitHub but was lost. Sorry to bug with many questions. Someone said you are the best person to ask.
Oh.. So that's what 'make' is.. I really don't know this tool GNU make. Thanks for patience and answering me!
Wait, hold on. There's no such 'make' file in the folder. It is 'makefile' but i can't seem to open it.. Is there a tool needed to run it?
Hello Mr. Touched! :) I just red your post about Mega Evolutions and primal reversion engine... I've tried to download python 3 and devkit ARM, too. I have a problem, how can i insert it step by step? Python thingy and asm is truly new to me. Although i know ASM a little, but inserting the whole codes troubles me.. Please help me Mr. Touched.. I've renamed the firered rom into BPRE0.gba and placed it in the folder. Then i've clicked the insert.py and a rom 'test.gba' appeared. And afaik its still not enough right? I didnt know how to use devkit arm... btw im a windows user here.. please help me. Thanks a lot and godbless you :)
Okay I've finished downloading it.. I think its fully cracked.. What does it do anyway? I'm not familiar with assembly but I might be able to use this in my thesis haha
