Hi everyone, long time no see! :P
@riolu: Sigh... Do you ever remember to have many backups of your game from different times? That could be helpful next time.
@pokemon-fan: Use english or spanish because otherwise I cant answer whatever stuff you may have said ;P
@joao: Takes a while before I accept more people into that list, I dont want to compete with anyone for the "person with most friends" title (because I know I wouldnt win it, anyway :P)
@tristen: I think you have a patching problem. Remember you have to apply the .ips file to a FR(U) rom. Double check the thread Hiroshi made in the Hacks Showcase section just in case you havent been following the steps to rom patch correctly.
@S.Riolu: I wish I could expand myself into other sections of PC, but sadly, I'm not that talkative and I'm not that knowledgeable about everything. For me, it's enough with the Member Fanclubs and Other Voting (and rarely, the Other Chat) areas.
@3trainerpoke: Order it? That sounds like buying a hack, which you know you must not do. Please, dont buy it. Get it for free from here.
@Xray: I really dont remember what I did the last weekend on the msn. I dont really want to use it too often (but I need it for Marnic), so not like you'll see me too often anyway.
@DarkEclipse: Alright, lets review the steps...
1.Download my zip file
2.Unzip the zip, you should get a file with extension .ips
3.Get the LIPS program (you can get it from
http://www.wah.studiopokemon.com/herramientas/Lips.zip), I prefer it over any other patching program
4.Get a Fire Red(U) rom (you need to find one yourself)
5.Open the LIPS program
6.Pick "Apply Patch"
7.Choose my .ips file that came out of the zip
8.Hit "Open"
9.Choose the Fire Red rom (a .gba file)
10.Hit "Open"
11.Close LIPS and opened the Emulator (Visual Boy Advance prefered)
12.Make sure in VBA that Options->Emulator->Save Type->Flash 128k is selected, before loading the game
13.Load the Fire Red rom to which you applied the patch
@PokemonTrainerDaslim: It's called "Cell" (alright, now you can make jokes about it... go ahead, go ahead XP), from Stephen King. I wanted to try how was his style on a book, as I tend to like his movies.
@JJK: Alright, an opinion. I hate to say that most of the people who play the Pokemon games are on an age where they priorize graphics over gameplay, and in that matter, I dont really feel THAT much of a progress in terms of graphics between the GBA and the DS, so probably there would remain more people who like the GBA games by that time (unlike how now there arent a lot of people who like the GBC ones compared to the GBA)
But, I wouldnt wait for the DS to be more "hackeable", for that you'd have to wait some time and who knows, by that moment perhaps you dont like rom hacking anymore? I'd start with something right now if I were you.
