I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bored. I've been bored for weeks, since I've finished exams n' poop in June, but yeah - NOTHING TO DO! I'm probably going to go out tomorrow and buy a pair of White Converse. Oh, and there was a cute Onesie I saw in River Island a couple of days ago!

Oh, don't get me started. We get absolutely slaughtered for games here. CoD or Battlefield new on a console is $110. Greedy publishers set the price high. When people pay it, they say "oh, well that's clearly too cheap, let's raise the price". When people pirate, they say "oh, people are pirating, we need to raise costs an include intrusive DRM to combat it."

The AUD is worth 98 US cents, which is effectively at parity, yet we are charged 80% more for new games. Our version of GAME (you guys had it too, I believe) just went out of business and it's there own damn fault.

Something that might hit closer to home. A new Pokemon game (BW2 Preorder Price):

US - $35
UK - £30
AUS - $70

It's ****ing ridiculous.

Now I'm going to eat my hat, because I just bought MW3. I got it from Amazon US for $30, which is a little better than the Australian retail price of $99.

I got exactly what I expected, lol. Did well in what I deserved to do well in.

What can I say? They're long games. Not the crappy 8-hour campaigns you get from the CoDs of the industry. FFX took me 90 hrs. XII has taken me 20 hrs to get probably a quarter of the way in. That's nothing, though. I have a mate with over 3000 hrs logged in Counter Strike.

What are you hoping to study? I got this semester's marks back today. Happy enough.

Nope. That was each game. The strange thing is FFX for the PS2 had voiced-acted cutscenes, yet used about the same amount of space. Are you still sporting a Netbook?

Fairly recently, year 11 and 12 (the equivalent of A-levels) had become compulsory unless you have an apprenticeship or other qualification lined up. I think that's a good thing.

Yeah, they were more like 5 CDs in the PSX era, but the PS2/PS3 games are on one DVD. Either way, I'm actually playing it emulated on my PC. The difference in quality over the PS2 is incredible. Fun fact if you weren't aware: DisC refers to a CD/DVD/BR, whereas disK is a HDD/SSD/Flash Drive.

Ahhh it all gets a bit confusing. Here, we have Primary School > High School > University. A college here is a private institution for specific topic area, like you might have a business or art college, which give diplomas, whereas Uni gives degrees (Bach, Mast, PhD, etc). Uni entrance is based on your Final High School exam result, aka Higher School Certificate.

How's the whole "learning Welsh" thing going? :P

I'm on uni holidays at the moment and work cut hours, so I have quite a bit of time off. At the moment, I'm working through my Final Fantasy back-catalogue. Which is incredibly time-consuming, given the number of games and the length of those games (just finished FF:X in 90 hours the other day, lol)

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the way things are progressing - I just need a little more money. :P
