Those were pretty close to my thoughts on Xros Wars (or "Digimon Fusion," which I actually think sounds fine for an adapted title) dub, except they were more like "Screw the anime; it sucked. And why didn't they make a story-based Digimon Adventure RPG years and years ago?"

The Competition thread looks way underposted compared to last year. Cause for concern?

Err...yeah, sorry about that. :( They finally won it last year, so I figured it was time to give them and a judge a break.

Moreover, I think their contesting days are probably over; at a certain point you know a group of characters well enough that it takes too much of the challenge out of fitting them to a new story based on a prompt (that was my grand multi-year SWC strategy, heh). I might write more short stories about them, but it'll be on my own time.
