  • Because its my first Masuda method shiny! Who best to give it to than to one of my favorite people? :D
Sounds like my kind of class haha. I think that at this point I have it set in my mind that I want to be a programmer. I want to avoid changing my major at all costs (literally). What is/are your favorite language(s) to program with?
So you had formal education with programming before furthering your education? I'm hoping that my attitude towards programming remains the same after I start proper classes. There are times when I find something really interesting but I'll start to dislike it once I learn more about it.

Thank you for all of the advice though! I didn't expect to be talking about programming after I wished you a happy birthday but I'm glad that it happened. This conversation is making me look even more forward to the future :D
Hey thanks :D Congratulations on your Pokémon Clubs winnings!

Unfortunately the only computer course in my high school was basically 'Microsoft Office 101' haha. According to the load of papers I was given from the open-house, I'll be getting practical training in software development while learning the theoretical foundations of computing. I'll also be studying the systems, networks, and technology that serve as the foundation of future economic and social growth. I was also given a paper that listed what courses I'll be taking and available electives. I'm not sure where they went but I do remember seeing a lot of math-specific courses such as statistics and algorithms as you mentioned. There were also a lot of useful electives and I plan on taking advantage of that. I do need to improve my learning ability, however. I'm hoping that once I learn more languages and more about the mechanics, I'll be able to pick up new languages quickly. I'll be sure to be on the lookout for job fairs. I want to say that there are ~60 companies that recruit but a lot of them are looking for engineers.

Mind if I ask what got you interested in programming?
It was definitely not too much to read, I could read all day about programming :3. I don't want to sound cliché but I first became interested in computer science after studying Pokémon ROM hacking (June 2012). The games use a unique language used to run scripts and I really enjoyed making scripts and debugging them. Fast forward a couple of months and I started to learn JavaScript online. I took a break from learning however and didn't practice programming until early last summer when I started learning HTML and CSS (inspired by the use of BBCode here at PC). Since then my interest has been growing. I use a website called Codecademy which has plenty of lessons for learning languages including the ones I mentioned earlier along with Ruby, PHP, and a few others.

I'll be taking actual classes in college starting next fall. The college where I plan on finishing my degree has many internship opportunities from a lot of major corporations like Google which is very exciting. I went to an open-house at that college last October and talked with the Chair of their Computer Science Department and toured the campus. I've never been so excited about school before haha.
I'm fairly unfamiliar with the Black Sea region but I think it would be a great experience to visit some of the included countries. Of course I think visiting any country outside of North America would be great, but I have to set priorities because traveling isn't something that one can do often. Speaking of work, I saw on your profile that you're a programmer :o Do you mind if I ask what you do? I'm asking because I plan to earn a degree in Computer Science and I want to know what it's like to be a professional programmer.
Sounds like a fun time nonetheless. My high school used to offer a trip once a year to Mexico for students that were in the advanced Spanish classes but they were cut due to budget issues. My oldest sister tried to go but she couldn't because she was too lazy to get a passport...

I'm more into simpler dishes anyways. Fettuccine Alfredo is my favorite pasta dish. I'm a very picky eater and I tend to dislike many foods, which is why I enjoy it so much. It's just noodles, cheese, and butter (with the occasional chicken :P). All of this pasta talk is making me hungry...

I wish I could say that I'm into water sports, but I'm not around water enough to actively play. I went kayaking last November for the first time and that was really fun. I only flipped over once. The only activity that I do often in water is casual swimming. Wind surfing sounds really fun, though.
Michigan, to be exact. You got to visit Italy and Greece when you were in high school? I'm jealous :3 The furthest I went was to a community college 30 minutes away haha. After reading that, I'm even more interested. If I was one of those teachers, I would've gladly agreed to go to Athens. But for now, the closest I'll get to Athens is the city in Michigan... Italian food is definitely delicious. I could eat pasta everyday and to eat some prepared in Italy would be amazing.

Don't get me started on beaches. I'll travel to any place that has a beach. Even though I agree that Greece and Italy have beautiful beaches, I have to say that Hawaii has the best.
There is another world besides the Poké-world?

I looked up information about Prague earlier because I was curious and I didn't know that the city is over 1,000 years old. It's fascinating how that Astronomical Clock still works after all of those years.

As for myself, I love traveling. I've been all over North America, which was really enjoyable. My goal is to travel to Mediterranean Europe someday because I'd really like to visit Rome and parts of Greece (mainly due to their history).
I can see why people would think that Golurk is made of metal, but the 'Gol' in its name is basically saying "look, I'm made of clay!" haha. What is it about Prague that interests you?
    You're more than welcome!!
Just wait Miau! Just wait! When Pokebank's active again! I'm gonna give you my precious and treasured Pokemon!!!
Haters gonna hate, I suppose. Speaking of a certain Westerner, I really like the Pokémon that he designed. Golurk will probably be one of my favorite Ghost types, in terms of design and origin, for a long time.
Meow, meow! :3 Happy Birthday, Miau!
I wished I was fully prepared for the trade-back Pokémon,
wish it had better IV and EV trained like the Staryu you gave me.
I really appreaciate it! Happy New Year!
    Have a blast! >3<
Haha, it took a lot of scrolling through tumblr to find it. I'm glad that I'm not the only one who doesn't dislike Vanillite 8)
