But even though the border is imaginary, Kansas and Missouri really are quite different from one another. I can see why one would prefer Kansas. Missouri does have a certain grungy appeal, though.

I'm on the KS side right now. But I've been all around the city on both sides of the state line over the years. KC is actually fairly unique as far as border towns go. It's rare to see houses up and down both sides of the state line like we have here.
