Yeeeaahhh... I don't really agree with that, since Mark Knopfler kept doing music after DS, even if it wasn't the same thing, at all. There's a lot of diference between "Brothers In Arms" and "On Every Street" it's more than a time difference as well (think that Brothers in arms came out in 1985 and On Every Street came out in 1991), Knopfler completly changed his style on those years. From being a blues/rock musician to a country/blues one. Slowly, his guitar playing was started to be replaced with lyrics work, as you can see on his solo albums. In a few words, he started to be more a writer, and less a musician. I wouldn't like to see DS like that, at all. It would be pretty sad if you ask me :(
