Oh really? I do my bleaching at an eco salon (as I wouldn't want to damage my hair or anything myself)
But I do just get a pot of colour and reapply it when it begins to fade. It actually is restorative to your hair, since the colour molecules fills out any holes caused by bleaching (that's how getting your colour done actually works.) So reapplying the colour strengthens the hair strands.

Low budget? A pot costs me like $10 and lasts for a good 8 months. I know I'm only dying the fringe but if you're doing your whole head then it should last you a good 4 months depending on how long you wait until you top up and how much you use/ comb through.

Paint it in with an old hairbrush.. leave it for 2 hours while doing housework and then take a shower. Boom.

I've been doing a blue streak ever since I was in grade 10.. so uh 2005?
Damn.. I'm old, that's over a decade ago..

I top up my blue streak every 3 weeks or so.. I use Manic Panic's midnight blue, but their UK midnight blue is slightly more greenish than the Canadian version. Sometimes I'll mix the two and just paint it on. In these shots.. I think my blue was almost 2 weeks old.
I haven't had a haircut in about 5 months..

I have two guinea pigs, they wander around part of the garden most of the day. I just put them on their cage at night.
