To sum it up, its debatable whether American healthcare or (ill just say European to avoid specifics) is more expensive. Because Americans pay about 40% of their incomes on healthcare, but Europeans have higher tax rates, so its hard to calculate exactly. I would wager American healthcare balances out to be slightly cheaper, but thats not based on actual evidence and I wouldnt be surprised if it was to the contrary (European healthcare being slightly more cheap).
I have sources that say US healthcare is more expensive, but again, its hard to really tell. Also its objectively true that European healthcare is better than US healthcare. Unless i see more evidence to suggest a different conclusion, this is what I'm going with. Ill say with the exception of Canada (which is also Single-Payer) because the US receives a good amount of Canadians fleeing to US healthcare for various surgeries.
