  • I've reported quite a few. I could be the tester and check every single thing. Such as the kid calling me mister even though I picked the girl character.
    K
Yeah, I did! I still have yet to talk to the team about it, with the many time zone differences and all but I'm pretty sure they'll agree. There will be some compromise probably but we'll see! :)
I'll make sure to keep looking. I've changed computers but I looked back shortly and all I could find were two .ips files for it. But I had folders worth of stuff and I'm not one to delete that stuff.

And I've played Liquid Crystal before, not recently though
Nice, I always look back at times and wish I could push myself to get back at it. I keep looking for all our old files too but haven't found them yet. I'm not the kind of person to delete that stuff but no idea where they're at.
Thr overtime pay depends on the company. Mine gives us the equivalent overtime hours in days off.

So that gets close to Game Design! Being able to draw out your ideas and concepts is a huge plus. In my company, we have Game Designers that are focused on balance, but that's not all they do. Being a min-maxer can help you as well, since you may have an idea how to bring min-maxers to play your game (they're valuable!)
It is pretty hectic but like I said, it was only about very specific parts of For Honor. The game designers puts out ideas and numbers, and I put them to the test. Then I give feedback to the Game Designer, who will make changes to his numbers according to what I've said. I need to give him clues and solutions on the problems I bring up (ex: Boss keeps blocking every attack, make him more vulnerable to guard breaks)

For that kind of writing, you might be oriented better as a Mission/Quest Designer than a narrative designer. The overall story doesn't really matter, but empowerement through player actions is the kind of narrative Mission Designers will create.

I went to school and took a Game Design class, but I am now doing something else entirely, focused on programmers, and I love it!
Starting a company without having worked in the industry can be insanely hard, in my opinion you should take a course and find a place in the industry, then with your experience start your own company :)
I do! My normal schedule is 40h/week, with the weekends off, but for a while in Syndicate I worked on weekends and did 50-60h/week. Crunch time is normal in the industry, but it wasn't so bad on For Honor :)
What would you like to do in games? Art? Programmation? Design? Other? :) I may be able to help you a bit!
    Hello!
On Syndicate I helped validate the Gameplay Systems team's code and data submissions, I helped debugging their code, as well as sorting the testers' bugs to the right teams.
On For Honor this was more or less my role, but in a smaller part of the game; the campaign. Specifically 2 missions. I also helped with general balance of the gameplay in those missions.
