Yeah, it's doing better than at least Volcanion. By some people's statements, it may be doing even better than the Genesect movie. I'm honestly not liking this at all, because it just seems to validate the writers outright ignoring continuity, and I hate stuff that outright ignores continuity especially when it's actually SUPPOSED to be the type of show to have that (and what's worse is that this is supposed to be Pokemon's equivalent of The Path to Power, and that movie honored its roots far better than this recent movie did). The Simpsons, I can tolerate the lack of continuity due to it being a show with negative continuity and not having any overarching goals, while with Pokemon, they clearly are giving an overarching goal with Ash and thus ignoring continuity there is inexcusable (and BTW, since you don't like franchises that ignore continuity, I suggest you not play Metal Gear, that series, especially the Kojima-made ones, is rather notorious for constantly retconning things).
