  • Oh, by the way, there's a chance I won't have access to PC for a while (possibly a week or two! *sob*). I'm not positive when it'll happen but if it does, and I don't log in for a few days, would you mind filling in for me / mention it in Blasting Off? :)
OMG I was going to reply days ago, only I didn't get the chance—even now I'm a bit rushed for time but there's something I just can't hold off on any longer!

First of all I would have to compose myself after a totally hypothetical gush of happiness!

Now, let me see. Castle in the Sky is actually the first movie officially produced by Studio Ghibli, so on one hand, it might be cool to start with this one and watch how the other films progress from there! It's quite old though (1986) and isn't as polished as Miyazaki's later works. Still, it gives a pretty good insight into his style! It's also one of the few films with an actual villain. xD Ghibli is more about personal growth rather than good vs. evil, if you know what I mean. ^_^

One thing to note is that Castle in the Sky is centred around fantastical technology and has a kind of "steampunk" vibe; this is probably the most high-stakes, action-packed movie (next to Princess Mononoke), and even then it's pretty tame. xP There are some very sweet (and funny) moments though. :) My impression of it the second time was really good! And the soundtrack is amazing of course! (I've never seen the Japanese version so I can't comment on that. :o)

Spirited Away is the first one I watched. I could go on and on about how amazing I find this movie but I don't want to build up too many expectations—one should see it without prior influences. xP Some people recommend saving best for last... In my experience, however, that doesn't really apply to Ghibli, because each movie is a joy in itself! Starting with Spirited Away didn't alter my appreciation for any of the others! <3

The artwork is sensational—Miyazaki prides himself on the gorgeous, romantic backgrounds seen in all his films! I prefer the dub because it allows me to take it all in without having to read the subtitles (plus I grew up with it), although the sub is better. You don't miss out on the truer, more meaningful dialogue! Still, the English versions generally have quality voice actors. (The Western films, like Howl's Moving Castle, are better suited in English!)

I believe Spirited Away is the perfect starting point because it really showcases the peak of Miyazaki's style and creativity, setting the tone for the rest of his films. You can tell how much dedication was put into it! In that sense, this is the one I would recommend. :D But it's up to you!

EDIT: I mean, the hypothetical person. ;)
    Hey there Revise!

I hope you had an awesome weekend! I was super busy, literally not even in town yesterday. I got your pm though. I will give you a full-length response soon. Just wanted to give you a heads up though that I checked the GTS for fletchling on gen 6 and I think "Hi Sam" has been adopted by somebody else, I don't one by that name. So we may need another Hi Sam. But Yayakoma is safe with me :) This little guy will wait for you, just say when. We have all the time in the world to do this. No worries!

    Are you excited about Halloween?

    Talk to you soon!

    -Sam
Hmmmmm... and have her show me her authentic dungeon from up close, I suppose? I don't think so.

If you lock up an antiquarian, does that make you an anti-antiquarian?
Oh haha, nah, it's fine! I was expecting a few character / background spoilers, but they did well in keeping any references to past games obscure. (Like when Godot confronts Phoenix about Mia's murder, and Phoenix says, "But I got that guy!" rather than giving away Redd White's name!) Besides, I knew the gist of how things came to be with Edgeworth during T&T. ^_^

(The Morgan Fey case actually had me intrigued—I want to know what terrible things she did. xP)

Speaking of Ace Attorney, I've been meaning to get back to your last VM, so I'll do that now! And I haven't forgotten about the other VMs either! :p

Yayyy haha, can't wait! We definitely could, spamming AA screenshots is my new favourite pastime. ;D Thank youuu, I hope so! <3

Would you believe I felt instant nostalgia after completing it? ^^; When I come away from a game or movie that leaves such a good impression, I get this void, haha. At least in this case I still have a bunch of other games to complete! :D Which is why I decided to play through the rest of the series in release order! (Does this mean I get even more of Granny's Heart Containers?) You've probably guessed that I already started, considering how I knew about Redd White, right? ;) But that's cool about the dates, I didn't know it was set in 2019—what a neat coincidence! (WAIT, there's an anime?! omg point me to the best place to watch it!) Now, on to those songs!

Track #1: Gosh, the beginning really gave my heart this lovely soaring sensation! Again I felt instant nostalgia, despite playing so recently. xD

Track #2: Oh my... When the Turnabout Sisters theme started playing, I... gah, too many feels. ;__; Both of these are beautifully orchestrated! <33

I just love all the regulars, really! But I bet you can't guess who my #1 favourite character is! ;) Iris is an angel though, really sweet and brave, and I hope she returns. Admittedly I also mistook young Phoenix as being too naive and gullible to realise that his Dollie was evil all along; I should have known better for an important chapter like Turnabout Memories. It never occurred to me that an identical twin sister would later be involved, haha. ^_^; But yes, there was so much emotion building up toward the end! I don't know how the creators managed to make the feelings of each character so palpable, especially in the final chapter! <3

In PW, I've completed the first three and have begun Turnabout Goodbyes! :) Is it just me or is this game notably easier? xP I haven't been able to play in a while but I'm having a lot of fun with it! I love Oldbag and Hackins. xP

That's right! I couldn't leave out Zelda's great soundtracks. ^_^ The teleportation songs in OoT will probably be the first ones I learn on the harp!
Ah, Tchaikovsky is one of the most famous classical composers! You've likely heard The Nutcracker and Swan Lake, which he is renowned for. :D
I'd recommend you to watch YouTube vids of the game or get the free to play sequel on eShop first (not sure if Rumble World is still available though). If you like the play, the genre then buy~

Hmm... What?? I think Bulbasaur, Pikachu or the Sewaddle line represents you or am I missing one?? :o

It's good (: I know you're hella busy! Take yo time
    Hi there Revise,

Hope you are having a great weekend!

I also hope that I'm not disturbing you because I know you juggle so many things, work, class, modding, a social life, though with a little luck things may be about to wind down since the holiday season is on its way. I just had a general question. Since you are very good at CSS I was wondering if you could give me some tips. I finally tried to make my own template for the Halloween club, inspired by the one you gave me for September Serpents. I guess I just want to know what resources you usually use.I want to get better, and fix up my other clubs and future stuff.

You take care now and stay away from purple ice cream! Also don't forget, I got that gale wings fletchling waiting for you whenever you can take him home.

    -Sam
How did you...? Okay, the gig is up. I admit, I lied. It's not my collection of antique locks you saw, I don't own any. But it has always been my dream, you know, to start collecting locks. Say, do you happen to know a good antiquarian around here?
    Humph! B-baka...
Might want to sell your Fishing Rod and Berry first if you can unless they transfer to your new character. Due to the level increase that is likely to occur prior to battle#3, you might be able to go as Ivysaur.
Im curious but are you planning to swap FTE characters again like last time? I ask because if you do plan to swap, I'd recommend picking a Pokemon with Poison Typing. So Bulbasaur, Oddish, Bellsprout, Nidoran, Ekans, Koffing, etc. Could even go Zubat or Seviper. Reason I bring it up is due to Priscilla obtaining the Black Sludge item. It gradually heals Poison Pokemon but we lack a character to equip it on.
Uh-huh, should be fun. :D And I can officially join yours now! ;) I've been able to handle the CSS without hiccups, so it's all good on that front! Nothing too fancy. ^_^ Yeah, I don't want to start anything without being sure I can properly foster my clubs while they're new. :) It's been a long time since I've managed one and I'm hoping to have improved a lot since then!

Ahaha, cute xD Indeed I am, or at least was—I actually finished it yesterday night! I just couldn't tear myself away! Godot is one of my favourite characters; I love his spit-takes, metaphors, theme song, and role in the story, and I swear it killed me towards the end when I had to accuse him of murder. ;__; I knew it was coming but... it was really hard finishing Bridge to the Turnabout, haha.

My thoughts on the final case? Well, first of all I share you sentiment, it's my favourite too! But... aagh, it tugged on my heartstrings the entire way, especially with Godot's involvement, Iris's sentence, and of course Maya's disappearance. The entire time she was missing I was on the edge of my seat. And I never would have expected all the tragedy to boil down to Dahlia! Yet despite it all I felt so bad for her... as well as poor Iris. :'( Oh! Speaking of which, I discovered the origin of your cryptic signature, haha, even if you did tweak it a bit. ;) Is Iris a favourite of yours? That confession at the end was adorable!

I'll admit that my fondness for Uematsu's works are largely connected to my memories of playing Final Fantasy VII, hehe. Otherwise I don't know as much about him as I do Joe Hisaishi. ^_^; But there are many composers I admire. Koji Kondo is indeed one of them! Ah, and Tchaikovsky of course! <3
*pokes* You may be bowing out but you have to give Lily the Ice Cream once she sprints there. She can't take it from you after having used her action am I right? By the way, if Elwind bites Sliggoo and flinches it, you'll live to see another round.
