Hi Lady Jirachu! I hope you have had an awesome weekend. My reply is so long overdue and I would love to hear what is new ^_^

You do totally have a cute username LadyJirachu! The Pikachu and Jirachi combo is so very clever and imaginative.

My username is taken from Milotic obviously but also Vision of Escaflowne. You and I are close in age and I watched my fair share of 90s anime as a little one. I love journeying to other worlds, and knights and princesses and magic.

Oddly though I didn't join pokecommunity until I was an adult. I think it is amazing how long so many people have been members here, and perhaps part of the reason why this is such a mature and homey community, it has deep roots and we have really built a family over the years.

Anyway you have great taste in pokemon, pikachu, jirachi, lucario. I have plenty of spare lightning rod Pichus if you should ever need one!

I couldn't help but wonder if you had seen the movies Lucario and the Mystery of Mew or Jirachi Wishmaker? Since they star some of your favorite mons and are well-made entries in the franchise I think you would like them.

I like the way you handled your Jigglypuff. You are right! He is even more special now.

I can totally understand how a character that reminds you in a negative way of another would turn you off from a certain Pokemon.
I also forgot to mention the ultra beasts. I'm not found of them design-wise either, though as with gen 4 there are some cool gen 7 pokemon. Oranguru, Drampa, the first stage starters, Alolan Marowak and Ninetales just to name a few that catch my eye.

Korrina is cool for sure. She wears the rollerblades well! I'm not a sporty person, but she shows off fitness in a way that looks fun. She's full of energy and spirit. She's a warm person I think most of us would feel great being around. Is Kalos your favorite region any chance?

My crush in the pokemon world is Steven Stone. I like that he is a gentleman, he looks smart and sophisticated, always traveling and researching. He is polite, gracious and calm and attractive, and I feel that his interactions with the player are meaningful as your mentor and friend.

You can make whatever post you want as far as I'm concerned. You can quote me and respond to my suggestion regarding Rock Smash and whether or not you agree with me about learning the move and whether you want to replace Screech for it. The reason I make that suggestion is because 1) Its a STAB Fighting move. 2) You along with Coral can smash any Boulder obstacles we come across since it deals x3 damage to such obstacles(and we're bound to face some at some point) and 3) Rock Smash's secondary effect is a 50% chance at reducing the target's Defense. Seeing as Screech has 85% Accuracy and does the same effect as Rock Smash's secondary effect, you essentially gain the same move but with 100% accuracy every time Rock Smash's secondary effect activates(while dealing damage to the target). In other words, Rock Smash is an improved version of Screech with a coin flip for reducing the target's Defense every time you use it. Rock Smash in a coordinated attack with allies can prove to be a very valuable move as you can lower the target's Defense and Allies can take advantage of it.

All you need to do is follow the signup sheet that Lycan has in Post#1 of the new FTE thread(which has its own unique tag now). Seeing as I know it, this is what you need:

Name: LadyJirachu or a nickname you wish to give your Pokémon
Pokémon: Riolu(picture optional)
Ability: Any non-HA(so Steadfast or Inner Focus. Of the two, I'd do Inner Focus to avoid being flinched)
Gender: Male or Female(I assume Female but you can be w/e Gender you want. Mozilla or my Vulpix is Female)

That's it, although you might want to request a Pinkan Berry to turn it Pink ;)

I'm more of a cat person, although Game Freak has done a great job at making dog Pokemon. I particularly like the Growlithe line, the Houndour line, the Riolu line, Manectric, and Lycanroc-Midnight.

However, I dislike the Snubbull line and the Lillipup line, because they annoy me in the games by either taking down my Pokemon, or by using Roar. I also don't like their designs.

Btw, I'm contemplating buying a Switch this November for Xmas to indoctrinate my twin nieces who turn 5 next February into the world of Pokémon. Outside of me, no one in my family knows about, much less plays Pokémon so it'd be a learning experience for everyone. If I do buy a Switch, I still haven't decided on what game/version to get since the Version exclusives are pretty good. My teams, or should I say our teams if I hope to indoctrinate my nieces will be the following:

Pikachu Version:

Pikachu is the starter so he stays throughout the journey. Plus with special exclusive moves, including HM's, he can't be replaced. Due to the gym requirements for Brock, I'm opting to go with Squirtle and hence Blastoise(who can Mega Evolve). Sandslash is exclusive to Pikachu Version and is my favorite Ground Type. As a bonus, I grab it's Alolan variant who happens to be a Swiss Army knife by countering so many opponents. He alone defeats half of the Elite Four along with Erika and Koga(immune). Alolan Raticate is my Psychic/Ghost Specialist, hence countering Sabrina and Agatha respectively while Clefable is my counter against Fighting, Dark and Dragon Types. Ideally I'd use Alolan Ninetales but she's only on Eevee version. Team above counters everything but Normal and Bug Types(Alolan Sandslash resists both).

If I opted to do Eevee version, Team would be the following:

Eevee, like with Pikachu, is the starter and must be available 24/7 for exclusive moves and HM abilities(plus handles Ghosts and Agatha in a pinch). Venusaur is my Brock and Misty counter that also Mega Evolves. Golem counters Lt.Surge and Blaine quite easily while Alolan Ninetales puts Erika, Bruno and Lance on Ice. Alolan Muk can single handedly drop Koga and Sabrina while Ninetales(Kanto variant and Eevee version exclusive) covers any potential Ice, Grass, Bug and Steel problems that may arise. I have no counter for Normal Types but I think a Golem does a pretty good job no? May need a Water Type to transverse the Sea routes though.

My favourite Fire type? That'd be Incineroar! I actually don't mind that it's yet another bipedal Fire type starter!

Other favourites include Charizard, Blaziken, Infernape, Ninetales, Arcanine, Houndoom, Magmortar, Heatran, Darmanitan, Chandelure, Volcarona, Talonflame, Turtonator, and Alolan Marowak.

Oh, every type has Pokemon that I like! For the Fairy type, my favourite is Togekiss! Other Fairy types that I like include Clefable, Mr. Mime, Azumarill, Gardevoir, Florges, Shiinotic, Mimikyu, Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, and Alolan Ninetales.
