  • Hi I wanted to ask, my art thread is really old already. Can I just make a new one or do I have to revive the old one?
Just came back from my February trip thing and I have lots of pics if you're ever interested!
Then what's stopping you from posting them, much less your Pokémon merchandise? :t037: It is time you put everyone to shame by posting your vaunted collection(even if it's just your Spirit Animal).
Hmm still awaiting your merchandise collection but part of me wonders if you have a Star Wars collection. Personally I don't have one but my family does have a small one from way, way back in the day. We bought an AT-AT(those weren't cheap back in the 80's), a Millenium Falcon(I think lol), and a few of the figures. What exactly we have, much less their condition I don't know but we had a lot of Star Wars stuff when I was young, including your vaunted Tie Fighter.
So out of curiosity, I decided to watch a bit of BotW and my first impression is that its Windwaker on steroids. Has fewer Dungeons or "Bosses" that yield Heart Containers, leaving the rest to be "Heart Pieces" via Spirit Orb's obtained through the 120 Shrines. Each Shrine varies in terms of difficulty and while it's a nice change of pace, there's far too much repetition, particularly in the Divine Beasts. To 100% BotW is long and tedious, with the Korok Seeds really giving Windwaker vibes. Reward for collecting them all is underwhelming but unique though.

What I did find interesting is that they rehashed OoT with the Mipha x Link in BotW. Mipha's character is definitely nostalgic for those who played OoT as it reminds them of Princess Ruto, but Mipha's more palpable due to her relationship with Prince Sidon. The DLC content really tugs at your heartstrings too and its coincidence that two Links get out of having to marry a Zora Princess. Other thing that got me thinking was how Zora grow/age. If what BotW chronicled happens to be true, then Ruto should have still looked like a Child in OoT as an Adult unless she undergoes extreme growth during those 7 years lol.

Anyways, time for Lutin to make another move in FTE.
I never played MM. Before you gawk in shock, it just never appealed to me, although I hear it has rave reviews. It looks to be a "Dark" game like Twilight Princess and those games just don't appeal to me. Even the Well/Shadow Temple in OoT gets to me at times. As for OoT, the vast majority of child secrets can be obtained while getting other main tasks. It's just the rest require Bombs, Boomerang or Rupees to get. As for Adult, it's pretty much Poe Hunting, Biggoron Sword, Dampe, and Gerudo Fortress(Archery Range and Ice Arrows). People who've done 100% Speedruns have organized them all into a specific order that takes efficiency to its limit. What blew me away when watching this 100% run was how he handled Bombchu Bowling. I struggle with the damn chickens but he would simply use the sides to great effect and go around them. I couldn't do that even on my best days and this was on a 3DS lol.
Btw, Team A and Lutin could use some direction. I recommend moving to where WooWoo is at H3 and giving Machop some Fairy love.
Must also comment that there are people who are way better at Zelda than I am. 100% walkthrough I've been watching has no commentary(a plus) and did things a bit differently than I would have(bit inefficient imo) but has gone the entire game without taking any damage whatsoever. Even did the Well and Shadow Temple without so much as using the Eye of Truth except for finding the correct post to open the first gate at the very beginning, prior to getting the Hover Boots. Liberally uses Deku Nuts to stun foes and got the Biggoron Sword prior to even doing the Forest Temple(which is possible, just requires having a bottle with Blue Fire, which you get from Kakariko Potion shop, to melt King Zora). Dispatched Phantom Ganon and Volvagia much faster with the Sword and destroyed Morpha in like 5 seconds after pulling it and cornering it in a corner. Defeated Bongo Bongo without the Eye, just spammed Arrows in the "empty" space between the hands and slashed away with Biggoron Sword and even defeated an enemy in the Spirit Temple using a Trap against it.

I'm at Ganon's Castle right now and collectively he's taken about 8.5 hours to do it all. World record is a shade under 5 hours so... yeah inefficient with respect to time but not so in execution. Final two parts take roughly 50 minutes so he finishes the game in about 9.5 hours. I no longer have OoT seeing as N64 is long gone but watching it makes me go damn I remember doing that. Hardest damn heart piece to get is Dampe imo.
As I look back on the story of OoT, I think Saria was the chosen successor of the Great Deku Tree as Guardian of the Forest. When Ganon cursed the Great Deku Tree(which ultimately led to its demise), Saria inherited its responsibility, hence becoming the Forest Sage. It was fate for her to become it because she said so in the Sacred Forest Meadow when Link is a Child. Many OoT fans ship them but since Saria is bound to always being a child like Ash, it's never going to happen lol.

Its ironic that Link is paired with 4 females in that game too: Saria, Malon(via her Father), Ruto(Zora Sapphire = Engagement Ring) and Nabooru(finds him attractive when awakening). Link is basically Zelda's version of Ash lol. Also looking at OoT, I wonder if the Sages are truly alive during Link's time as an Adult. All this evidence points to their demise when you never see them at any point in the open world save for their respective Temple(if that). They never help you defeat the evil inside either, unlike Medli in Windwaker for example.
Besides... Saria would be a Leafeon if she were an Eevolution. Darunia is Flareon, Ruto would be Vaporeon, Rauru is Jolteon, Impa would be Umbreon and Nabooru would probably be Espeon. Zelda would be Sylveon but one could make a case to switch Zelda and Nabooru's Eevolution.
Was watching an Ocarina of Time walkthrough(why I have no idea) and it got me thinking as to whom the most important character in the game happens to be. One would argue Zelda like in most Zelda games but in OoT, I'd argue Saria had a bigger impact than Zelda did. First off she gives you a Fairy Ocarina that you use until you get the actual OoT from Zelda. Secondly, Saria has a unique song just like Zelda and thirdly, she's a Sage just like Zelda. Plus she gives advice or pointers when using her song if you needed a bit of help. Not to mention she's the only one to make Goron's dance in unison at credits lol.
