  • Well, what can I say when you are articulating it so graciously! Honchcrow is also a gen 4 pokemon with Dark/Flying typing, however, it is not all to my liking, design wise.
Well, Rock/Flying, Electric/Flying and Dark/Flying are three type combinations where both the typing perfectly complement each other in offence and defence! Perhaps in its base form, Staraptor doesn't have any elements of Electric, Dark, or Rock typing. However, in its mega form, it gains some element of Rock typing and evolves into a true Predator of sky as it should be!! In all honesty, I'm just lobbying for my beloved bird to be the best bird available in IE. : ) Ampharos also got the extra Dragon typing in its mega form, right?
Yeah, they are there. Hey, by the way, I would like to suggest a Rock/Flying Mega for Staraptor, if you ever sit down to do one for it. It would be one hell of a bird, IMO. Just recommending! Also, when is version 2.0 coming, any hints?
Yeah, Sheer Force is not very helpful on Braviary. On the other hand, Defiant will only work if opposing mon has Intimidate, right? These kinda moves very amazing on early routes as all the bugs and other mons spam stat reducing moves, however, later on, stat reducing moves are hardly used, except Intimidate, IMO.
Well, music to my ears, mate. I am anticipating a Grass/Rock Gorilla, Fire/Electric Bunny and Water/Ghost Sniper. : )

Protect is not my battle style altogether, I'm afraid. I go all out attack, like Misty!!

The new braviary would be a very welcome addtion! Highly anticipated along with H. Zorua line and others.

Also, regarding Dodrio, I'm very selective about the mons I choose and I'm not going to choose this one, sorry about that. I was not aware about Swellow and Unfezant getting boost that way, apologies. To be honest, I am a bit jealous that Toucannon got buffs while my Staraptor and Braviary got nothing!! I have decided that I'm going to choose Sheer Force Braviary for my plahthrough. If you don't mind, could you please suggest me moves that get boost by Sheer Force, which I can teach to Braviary. ; )
    Yup, all well here!

Glad to hear that Gen 8 is coming soon, however, not very excited for standard Gen 8 mons, though. Will you do rebalancing on them as well? I wish you will do your things on them too.

That might be the case. Opposing teams were spamming water moves on my Typhlosion as well. I guess, mons with quad weaknesses will not fair well in IE.

Also, I found that defence buffed Skill Link Toucannon with Jolly Nature and Life Orb is quite powerful in IE! It saved my life countless times. The same is the case with Buffed Vikavolt. In my second playthrough I wanted to play with a different bird, however, I am not able to point out which one. Toucannon always stands out. I have some suggestions:
    1. Could you please make Braviary Psychic/Flying type, the new variant which was just showcased?
    2. Do some rebalancing to Swellow, Unfezant or Staraptor; perhaps new typing? They are good, Staraptor, IMO is great, however, in comparison to Toucannon, it fades away.
    Hey Buffel!

    Hope you are doing good.

I am in the middle of my second playthrough of IE, and I'll humbly admit that for the first time in my life, I didn't get bored by playing the same hack twice in a short span of time. The latest features are nothing short of amazing, new level caps forces you to make intelligent choices, and the rebalanced mons are pretty interesting as well. You have imbued a new life to the fan favourite for sure! IMO, IE is the best QoL Emerald hack at present, period. Two thumbs up mate, you have earned it! Wish you best of luck for the gen 8 implementation and looking forward to it for a third playthrough as well!

P.S. My Ace Mon, Swampert got cleaned up so many times by opposing teams that I have to take it out of the equation. IE bewildered me, seriously. It has never happened before. Every other mon has a grass move in their sleeve, and they use it immediately on it, even a Gyarados, seriously. I'm just wondering whether you have taken special measures against Swampert or is it just the AI, getting smarter?
I got an idea, for gen V "bugged" cries, why won't you rip from BW1 ROM & replace these cries? Maybe it won't happen the same issue.
I'm doing good, Thanks for the answers.

-I used an X item after when a trainer (scientist) used an X def to his Porygon 2 in Prismatic Moon, and I'll use it only after other trainers use X items in other games/hacks, but aside of that, didn't/won't use it.
-For some "bugged" Gen V cries, did you add it yourself, or are they from Pokeemerald expansion? Just wondering.
    Hey, how's it going?

-After I saw some videos of Inclement Emerald in Youtube, I got an idea: maybe double battles against Gym Leader Juan, and Pokemon League before post-game, like in Drayano's Blaze Black & Volt White.
-Do your friends on Discord have some cool ideas like making mini-games for Inclement Emerald, I remembred I had fun with mining game when I played Flora Sky in 2011.

Do you use stat boost moves often, few times, or never? I use them depending on battles:
-When I played SoulSilver nuzlocke in 2016, I used Dragon Dance on Gyarados (forgot how many times) against Lance.
-Used Belly Drum on Unburden Slurpuff against some hard battles in Eternal X.
-Power-up Punch + Unburden Hawlucha in Eternal X.
-Nasty Plot on Salazzle in Prismatic Moon.
-Calm Mind + Trick Room on Slowbro against some hard battles in Prislatic Moon.
-Ribombee's Quiver Dance in Prismatic Moon, sweept against Kahuna Nanu after only one Quiver Dance (it was level 75 if I remember well), and used several Quiver Dance against Hapu and Acelora (good thing she had Draining Kiss)
And I tried to not use X items, except when the oppenent uses it, example: scientist with Porygon 2 using X def in Prismatic Moon.
Some players don't want to use stat boost moves because it'll make them too easy, but others want to use them to sweep against battles (especially hard ones) so it won't be tedious for them and they can have fun with it.
So, I know you may disagree with me, but, I think fun is subjective, and everybody likes the challenge differently.
Hi, I think you're taking a little break after you released 1.8 version

-In tutor moves list (in Github), there are moves that increase the stats as Hone Claws, Iron Defense, Quiver Dance...etc but I didn't find Agility, I think it's useful for sweep pokemon (who don't have Agility in their Level-up moveset) to outspeed max speed EVs and Spe nature adversaries (this move is also a TR move in SwSh)
-Would you also add few new tutor moves that are useful/necessary?
    Thanks for the answers.

I forgot to tell you that I tested IE in MyBoy emulator on Android (just the first places, Home to Route 103), it was no prob/issue, same as in mGBA on PC for some test (From Home to Rustboro City).
    Hey.

-Someone on your thread have some problem with saves, I wanted to try this hack juuust for a little test, I saved and reseted in same places (Rival's home, Route 101, Oldale Town, Route 103), no issue, the save didn't go away.
-Someone told you that all the starters that it chose are all female, I tested it out, Chespin was female, but all Unova starters are male.
-Are all suggestions that we gave you are still in your notepad for future releases?
-Do you prefer playing difficulty hacks with Rebalanced or Standard version?
I wanted to play Drayano's Rising Ruby and Kobazco's Divine Sword's, but the thing is they don't have Standard version, but I'm glad that Inclement Emerald exists, as well as your other 3DS hacks and Drayano's DS hacks.

Maybe I'll play BDSP and Legends: Arceus if somebody else will make both Rebalanced & Standard difficulty hacks, if there's no Standard for both games, I'll maybe just play the vanilla Legends: Arceus on Switch emulator to try some new experience.
    Hey.

-Did you usually read some opinions and feedbacks about Inclement Emerald outside of Pokecommunity & Discord?
-What is the ratio between positive and negative opinions about this romhack, depending on how many you have seen or read, and after the release with Gen 8/Standard/Insanity/Frontier version, I'm sure the positive ratio will rise.....well, I hope so.
-I think it would be cool if you add PokeRadar (and I already gave you a youtube link), and if some people wonder why there's no PokeNav, well it's because Pokeradar is good for shiny hunting, and that we already have ways to EV train, bottle caps & vitamins to control IVs, catching pokemon with 3 random perfect IVs, Audino in honey encounters, getting egg moves easy in breeding house, and the existence of ability patch & dream balls.
    Hi again.

-I think all old Gen 1-5 cries should stay in Inclement Emerald, and other fans will create new cries patches so people who prefer new ones will download in IE Discord.
-After I saw this romhack's Github, I bet Leaf will be in PWT's champions (along with Red, Cynthia...etc), and maybe Bianca in PWT's Unova Gym Leaders, and the rest of PWT roster that I already showed you last time.
    Thanks for the answers.

-And I forgot to ask, what are some new possible Pokeemerald stuffs or QoL elements (created by Lunos, DizzyEgg, RTT...etc) that you're waiting for and can't wait to add in Inclement Emerald?
    Hi,

I tried playing Inclement Emerald but I have some issues. Not sure if it's a bug, a feature, or if it's just me. All starters I get are female no matter what specie. I play on Android using Lemuroid, MyBoy, and RetroArch. Playing as male.
    Hey.

-After I read the last posts in Inclement Emerald, for Standard version: I think moves & abilities should be like in Gen 7 & 8 games (but I think new custom abilities should stay along with custom megas, so it's up to people to decide), but tutor moves, let's leave it as it is, and we decide whether we use them or not in Standard while checking their official moves in Serebii & Pokemondb...
-For Gen 1 & 2 cries update, it's up to you, as long as there'll be more space in the future, I prefer the old cries, but at least New Gen 1 & 2 cries don't sound as bad as Gen 3/4/5 new ones (and they shouldn't be changed)
-I remembered you and your fan are talking about adding languages in Inclement Emerald, so I got an idea, why won't other fans make their own languages (Japanese, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Chinese, and Korean... and maybe some more?), then they'll help you to put in Inclement Emerald while adding a language options in the intro or new game opening and "options" so fans can choose what fits them, and I think it will be after the version with Standard/Gen8/Insanity/Frontier (Maybe end 2022 or 2023, I don't mind if it'll be late so take your time)
-Would you make a new document for tutor moves and when we can get them depending on bagdes?
-In the next releases, would you put Alolan Sandshrew & Alolan Vulpix (since they're not wild outside of Game Corner) & Galarian Mr. Mime (Gen 8 release) in Shoal Cave as honey encounters?
-Would you make Mime Jr evolve into Galarian Mr. Mime with Ice stone?
Thanks for the answers. Yeah I'm fine, thank you.

-I hope it'll be possible to add B2W2 songs & instruments for legendaries and PWT, and that you can delete other midis and instruments that you don't need for space reason, hope you'll find a tutorial for it.
-I prefer the 5th Gen Roaming/Legendary theme better than 4th Gen Legendary theme for legendaries of Gen V onwards (except Reshiram/Zekrom/Kyurem cuz they gave their own theme), but hey it's your romhack so do what you prefer.
-But will you plan to add themes from gen 6 onwards for legendaries & PWT? I heard some arrangements of games from XY to SWSH with GBA/DS soundfonts, and.....I think they don't sound as good as the originals, the arrangements that I heard in Unbound Battle Frontier Demo are not bad, but do some of your friends (Discord, Pokecommunity...etc) have a talent to create good midis (themes from Gen 6 onwards) and send you to put them in Inclement Emerald?
    Hi, how's it going?

-I read in Pokemonhalloffame subreddit about Inclement Emerald, and that player is ComaofSoul (SevenChurches in Pokecommunity), and I think he appreciates this game and he can't wait for Gen 8 update even though he struggled with the grinding haha, and he also had fun with Photonic Sun/Prismatic Moon, here are the links if you want to read:
    r/pokemonhalloffame: https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonHallOfFame/comments/psx63e/inclement_emerald_challenge_mode/

-Speaking of grinding, would you make optional level caps after Flannery? I know Hoenn is an open region, but some players will fight against almost all trainers, and can't figure how they'll grind their underleveled pokemon, but at least you added Audino grinding (Honey encounters) so that's cool.
-I think the levels of wild & gift pokemon should be lower than the ace of the team, between 5 or 10 levels lower, so we can evolve some pokemon like starters, Cosmog...etc maybe in post-game, I hope you know what I mean.
-Maybe there'll be a possibility for some Gen 8 pokemon in honey encounters.

Anyway, what's your favorite starter line of each type? mine are:
Grass: Rowlet line, I think this is the most unique grass starter in my opinion
Fire: Cyndaquil line, chose it in my first johto game (Crystal) when I was 10 years old in 2002, still chose in SoulSilver in 2010 on Ds Emulator, and I will still choose it if I play in Storm Silver in the future.
Water: Oshawott line or Sobble line, I hesitate between both because:
Oshawott: I thought it was cute then it became into a cool Samurott, and that gen V is my favorite gen (bias I know haha)
Sobble: he went from a crybaby to an emo, then to a confident secret agent, and i felt immersed because I was also a crybaby when I was a kid & teenager, depressed as a student and didn't know how to talk to people, but then I feel I'm better than I used to be (but I should train myself to be very confident)....and I like its stats and its Sniper ability.
