Have you ever had nights where you can't sleep? Maybe you went to sleep really early and now you're awake at like, 2:30am. Maybe you're like me and you have a bad case of insomnia. Or maybe there's something on you're mind and it's keeping you up.

How often does this happen to you? What do you do when you're up late at night? Do you try to go back to sleep? Or do you just stay up for the rest of the night?

I usually play video games or watch something on Netflix, and then eventually I get tired and fall asleep (doesn't always happen though. Curse you insomnia *fist shake*)

I can rarely sleep until my body mandates I must do so. So I run until the tank is empty and my body decides it must sleep and regenerate. *shrug* dunno why I am like that; I just am.

Sleep? Pfft... Sleep is not in a designer's dictionary (well not while studying at least ;-;)

I'm someone who can never sleep properly, and I'm blaming it on the chilly temperatures lately. I probably need to declare "crunch time" and try and get my schedule back on track.

I take naps like everyday, which makes it pretty hard to go to bed at a decent hour. Good time to marathon shows though.

I have Schizoaffective Disorder (Bipolar Type) and during my manic episodes I'll go weeks barely sleeping and sometimes even several days without during my worst

Usually I'm up late because I do so on purpose. X) Which does lead to some problems if I have to wake up at a certain early time, because even if I can fall asleep earlier, the moment I try to fall asleep early is the time my mind decides nope, you can't sleep at all, you're just going to toss and turn all night...

In which case, if I feel like I have enough time, I'll go back to my computer and just do whatever until I feel like I can sleep. If I need to be asleep soon though, I'll go grab my tablet, my earbuds, and go head for the couch and listen to music or other things. Depending on what I listen to, I can often fall asleep in no time - even if I'm lying there wondering if it will work.

Although I don't think I've had any of my bouts of insomnia (they're rare in the first place though) since I started doing the above to combat not being able to sleep, so I'm not sure how well that would work for something like that. In such cases I just...pretty much do whatever until my mind's like yeah I have to sleep now or else. It's about all I can do.

Usually I'm awake until 3:00 AM. I'm just used to not being able to sleep at this point. I'll just watch some videos or play on my 3DS until I'm sleepy or go downstairs and get some pills to help me sleep.

The day before my I took my entrance exam, I decided to sleep a little early. And so I tried. But, 1:00 AM falls and I'm still awake. I think its stress and nerves.

Fun fact: I didn't sleep at all at Tuesday night all the way to last night save for a couple of power naps and I ended up dropping dead tired last night at 10 PM lol. Otherwise, I might end up sleeping at 2 AM 'cause of insomnia.

It was like 3 AM yesterday and I was like "ah screw this if I sleep now I'll oversleep" so I winged it and yeah.

Sometimes, but nothing a few shots of rum can't fix.

I've had terrible sleep habits ever since high school. It is rare for me to get to bed at anything resembling a reasonable hour, even if I have work or school. I'm a total night owl. It's terrible.

Yeah, some nights I just stay up thinking about what I'll do the next day. Or other nights, I'll just look outside and have deep thoughts like "we're all just one small piece in life", or if I have like a big exam the next day then I'll just think how much will this really affect my life. Then other nights I'll just sleep like a baby.

What is sleep? THIS WORD DOES NOT COMPUTE. *brain explodes*

In all seriousness though, I'm always struggling with sleep. One of my medications actually causes my insomnia to occur. Yes, I've tried lowering the dose. That only made me feel worse. My doctor also doesn't recommend I do it anyway. I've tried every sleeping pill there is, but not one thing helps. :( I also wake up a lot during the night as well. Sometimes, I do find it hard to go back to sleep.

Also, most people with autism do have problems with sleep. So, I think part of it could be my autism. Not to mention my ADHD and anxiety as well play a role. Some nights, I'll get into a fight with my brain about sleeping. >____> When I can't sleep, I usually play a video game, read or write on my iPad.

I stay up to ridiculous hours every weekend night (and sometimes, even through normal weekdays like last night, since I didn't go to school today). While I sometimes stay up late on purpose, every other time it's usually because I genuinely can't sleep; whenever this happens, I always kill time with dank memes by doing silly stuff on the internet or dragging my Gamecube into my room to play my favorite video games. I don't mind, though, because I've always prefered nighttime to daytime.

Many nights I don't get home from work until close to midnight, so my sleep schedule is always screwed up. Even if I've got to be out the door for work at 8 in the morning, I can probably count on one hand how many times I've been asleep before 2 am on one hand. I wish I could get to sleep much earlier, but until I've got a stable schedule at work, I'm destined to be a night owl.
