  • I'm actually pretty fond of our current setup, but I wouldn't mind at all if everyone else prefers to do things differently! If keeping everyone together isn't plausible, then I think the second option would be my favorite alternative. ^_^


    Heh nice cheerleading pic. Aren't there any of Skiddo or is Rowlet that popular? However... why Windmill? Don't you mean Solstice or have you already cast it aside? In any case... *looks at watch*, this round should have been over by now based on number of people who are left.

    Oh, I actually had three reasons for using Windmill here, haha:

    1. Solstice had just been knocked unconscious, so it would be kinda difficult to start cheering in that state. =p
    2. I remember saying at the end of Battle #1 that Windmill would still be cheering everyone on from the sidelines, so I thought it'd be nice to give the birb a little cameo here!
    3. I wanted an excuse to post that gif somewhere. xD And I couldn't find one for Skiddo, either...

    I'll admit the third reason might be the biggest of the three, LOL.


    EDIT: Looks like I messed up (bloody character limit). So uhh, can you fix that by chance or would I need to bug an admin to do that for me?

  • Option 2 sounds like a good idea to me, Lycan! You wouldn't have to make either map too different from each other (because that would drain anyone's inspiration haha); they can be more or less the same terrain but with different layouts, maybe? As well as different objectives. For example, perhaps one map requires a rescue mission / something that advances the story, and the other could be a standard "rout the enemy" map, useful for collecting items and grinding against tough opponents.

    I mean, we don't want to miss out on cool maps, right? :) There won't be that feeling if the biome stays the same.

I have nine upcoming battles roughly planned out, and if this option is the one we're going with I can mostly likely fuse a few of those as alternative options. For some of the others, I must still brainstorm a bit for an alternative quest. But I can still do that when the time is due.

    Whoops, didn't see that... lmao. Either way, Sap Sipper was it's initial ability due to you having Absorb. Poison is going to speed this battle up though as 24 Poison Damage/turn is a lot.

  • I voted Option 3 since I'm surprised Lycan has been able to keep going with this game as-is, due to the large amount of effort it takes to update a game of this size. Either Option 2 or Option 3 works for me, but I figure Option 3 would make this a bit more manageable for Lycan.

    Dusk moves to G12 and uses Helping Hand.

    Good forward thinking! If it was me I'd be lazy and plan maybe two maps ahead, ahaha. In any case, we can always give this option a go (a test run if you like) to give everyone a more visual understanding of how it will play out. I'm sure after that we can confidently make a decision. :D

    Oh, perhaps I'm seeing it the wrong way. I envisioned it to be the same as enemy reinforcements, where a group of Pokémon appear at the border of the map. Like your ambush in the first FTE battle. :P But I imagine each map will finish at more or less the same time if they're evenly distributed. Anyone, we can cross that particular bridge when we come to it!

  • Lily: Strange the purple dragon lost a lot of protective goo when attacking Eevee. It looks like it will be poisoned for a while. I still can't hurt it much so maybe I should use Growth.

  • When this "game" is finished, I recommend creating a game similar to this but base it off of Super Mario World with two to three protagonists, perhaps more but there are only so many "good guys" in Mario. Here's a picture, courtesy of Clover that explains my point:

    Option 2 and 3 reminded me of Selecting Units before battle in FE games. I chose 2 nonetheless, as separate stories wouldn't make sense if we wanted to change paths.

    I've put in my vote

    One thing I'll mention about option 2 is that another way to make the maps different in that scenario without using a whole new environment type would be to simply have different objectives from each other. Playing a map with a Rout objective is different from playing one with a Defend objective, and so on. Could even make the layouts or enemy distributions different for the same locale, since in that case the two teams could be in different parts of the same area.

    I must have overlooked your post. Apologies!

    Besides possibly Healing Dusk's Burn, I fear there isn't a lot you could possibly contribute to the combat at this point. :/ (And even that isn't likely to have any effect on the outcome of this encounter, so uh yeah...)
