If you can compile a copy of the game yourself, this is pretty much what you're looking for. Deokishisu's way of doing it is the correct way in my opinion, but I have very little time in life these days and I'm lazy...

I really prefer your method, but I'm not quite sure how to compile it. Could you turn this fork into a downloadable patch, perhaps?
 
really love this hack, I hated how there was always nothing to do after post-game. your only options were to; Restart, connect to colosseum or battle with the other games. this hack adding in a battle tower is a god send for replay ability for the game, something the original releases was missing and needed.

my one nitpick with this is that I wish the bag was left alone so it could be easier to add in items through pkhex to get max TMs and battle items. aside from that this is an amazing QOL hack for what I felt was a good game with a poorly done post-game. this hack should be the golden standard for what to add in any hacks post-game, by that I mean adding something like emerald did to keep players playing long after the post-game is completed. the battle frontier alone keeps me coming back cuz of how fun battling is.

Deokishisu, wherever you are, I hope the next hack you do is just as good as FireRed/LeafGreen +. thank you for making this, I hope more people find this hack and give it parse and love for what it accomplished. it made a great game better and made FRLG worth playing again.

Hi, its me, the dumb questions guy!
Just went here to say, i've been loving this hack, i never played any pokemon game outside of the original firered and this just improves the experience a lot, the reusables tms really are incredible, ive chose this hack mainly for the completable pokedex (im a compleotionist and likes things in order, thats why im playing kanto) but the amount of improvements really kept me here, currently in the post game trying to complete the pokedex

Now i have a small suggestion (idk if youre still doing these), a really dumb and situational one, that i got myself in:
so accidentaly i threw out my exp share and cant get another one, how the heck am i supposed to complete the pokedex now???
Basically be able to get aide items after losing one of thats possible
Thank you, im very dumb and would apreciate if you atleast gave me some insight
 
How do I get the unchosen fossil? Three Isle Port's cave doesn't extend upon beating the champion :(

Thank you for your comments! Unfortunately, the QoL of never having a full bag in normal gameplay trumped being able to use PKHeX to edit it in my view. I kept things as compatible as I possibly could without compromising on features.

I would say to trade for a new Exp. Share, which is what you would have to do if you tossed yours in vanilla. This is such a situational thing that doesn't actually lock away anything that I don't think checking the player's bag and all their Pokemon in the party and box (which is laggy to do) to determine if they're missing the Exp. Share is worth the hassle. If you're cool with save editing, the easiest thing to do would be to open your save in PKHeX and give your Pokemon one to hold.

This was a bug in a very old version of the hack that has since been fixed. Are you certain you're playing on the current patch? Old saves are compatible, so there's no reason not to upgrade.

Are you planning on making more decomp hacks like this one for other games?

Good to hear!

Only wild Pikachu found outside of Viridian Forest can hold a Light Ball. In practice, this means the only place that a Light Ball can be obtained without trading is off of wild Pikachu in the Power Plant.

I have ideas for similar hacks, and people have asked about a potential RSE+ for some time, but currently I don't have a lot of free time and am not actively working on any projects. I don't want to make any promises at this time; perhaps in the future.

Thats good to know, because i had caught 6 pikachus so far and was getting worried xD

I would love an emerald plus because i prefer my romhacks to stay as true to the game and not add in stuff from newer games.

Sadly this cannot run on 3ds...even with the mGBA port. However it does boot on a few of the many emulators I tried. Even though it boots it runs at like .25 speed and the only reason I wanted this was to get rid of unnecessary animations or slow text.

I regularly play this on my hacked 3ds using open_agb_firm with absolutely zero issues, and it has no problem running on mGBA (standalone) and the mGBA core for RetroArch.

Actually it's not true. Emulators on 2DS/3DS sucks, try to inject game with NSUI. I play this hack on my 2DS and it works great.
 
This sounds like an excellent vanilla+ hack! With the Nuzlocke options, does it have the option to set a level cap rule? (i.e. that enforces a level cap of the next gym leader/boss fight's ace)

Separately, has anyone managed to combine this with a physical/special split and fairy type hack?
 
Hey I'm currently stuck at the first Elite 4 battle I have to go find Lorelet but she's on island 4. Did i miss something?
 
Hey! I noticed the grass in Pattern Bush has some tiling errors. Every tile ends the grass as if it's the topmost patch.

I have a question. The moves in this game, do they have the same physical/special split as Pokémon fire red/leaf green?

Hmmm I'm going to hold off on this for three main reasons

1st my pc barely handles youtube Let alone games

2nd It doesn't seem to work with phones

And 3rd I've got kind of a bad feeling about this mod, it's the same way I felt with uranium before that mod was pulled from "store shelves".
