I started this before joining and am currently about to face Blue in Leafgreen, can I continue this save if I give evidence or do I have to start again?
Previously started adventures are usually accepted around here as long as they fit the rules as described in the OP. Wilhelm can correct me if I'm wrong, but this is the most open-minded Monotype thread in years, so it would surprise me.

    Ultimate Bug challenge: X
    Update 1:

    - I started the game with Ninja boat the HM slave Froakie
    - Once in Santalune Forest i caught World tour the Scatterbug
-- Also caught Piechart the Caterpie and Mr Spyky (Damn you, pik being a banned word!) the Weedle, but decided not to use them
    - Grinded World tour until it evolved twice into Vivillon
    - Beat Viola
    - Made my way through story stuff
    - Reached route 7, where i caught Booster the Nincada (Intending to use it to get a Shedinja) and Hypetrain the Venipede
    - Continued on, Hypetrain evolved to Whirlipede
    - Booster evolved to Ninjask, and gave me Corpse the Shedinja
    - Decided to use Booster anyway because i have him now.
    - Super-trained Corpse
    - Decided not to use Corpse, because he always felt either cheap or useless, never good.
    - Caught Hypecopter the Yanma
    - Beat Grant on the 2. try (Damn you, paraflinching, mixed moveset, critting, Rock type guy!)
    - Stopped for the day when a random trainers Hawlucha swept me twice in a row...

  • Wooo-hoo! Completed that Grass monotype on sapphire - it was one easy run up to Winona - Even May's combusken gave me no problems thanks to Ludicolo - But Winona.. Was a pain to defeat D: And ugh don't let me start on that stupid Metagross- I officially hate that thing right now >_> It took me at least 10 tries to defeat Steven because that thing was keep destroying my team D: But - With a lot of luck on my side I finally did it! I am so not looking forward to Wattson in my flying monotype though D:

I am so happy that this one is over though- I wasn't expecting it to take me that long D: Just because of all the extra grinding I had to do :(

Gamma here with my first Fire Red Monotype update. For this run, I decided to create comic along side it. No, it's not as interesting as a Nuzlocke, but I just got my new Note 4 and needed a project. So, on with the update.

    ○Chose Charmander.
○Ditched him as soon as I caught a Caterpie "Flutterby".
○Caught Weedle "Metabee", and trained both bugs to lvl 10.
○Challenged Brock. Earned the Boulder badge.
○Traveled to Mt. Moon, caught Paras "Teamwork".
    ○Arrived in Cerulean City.

    Team:
    "Flutterby" (Butterfree) lvl 17
    -sleep powder
    -supersonic
    -harden
    -confusion

    "Metabee" (Beedrill) lvl15
    -poison sting
    -focus energy
    -harden
    -fury attack

    "Teamwork" (Paras) lvl15
    -scratch
    -stun spore
    -poison powder
    -bullet seed

In other news, my wife just bought me a Chinchilla! :D

  • While waiting for my Emerald save to get fixed (big shoutout to GreyBidoof even though he works through e-mail now), I finished up my Fire Monotype in Diamond.

I chose Diamond because not only am I doing an Ultimate Challenge up to Gen V, I wanted to see exactly what fans were complaining about with the lack of Fire types. And so, I could only use Infernape and Rapidash for the entirety of the game, so it wasn't terribly difficult up to the Champion.

    Pictures here. (Excuse the quality!)

  • Daily Update #2 -

I am currently sitting around Slateport, trying to get geodude to evolve so I can have a golem for the fight with May, which will be an excruciatingly painful fight to endure, since grovyle and stuff

    Team -
    marshtomp.gif

    Level 23
    -Tackle
    -Growl
    -Water Gun
    -Mud Bomb

He wasn't that useful yesterday, and his special attack seems to be lacking. Will replace the two useful moves with waterfall and EQ later on to help that cause out.

    Level 22
    -Smack Down
    -Magnitude

Working on evolving, not much else

  • WATER MONOTYPE - EMERALD
    Completed

This was probably one of the most enjoyable monotypes I have completed, which is a surprise because I don't normally like having a boat load of water types. Anyway, I have to give shoutouts to Ludicolo and Gyarados, because they really shone for me. They were my first two captures, as Lotad and Magikarp, and they just bulldozed through everyone. Ludicolo was a Lombre for the most part, because it was only possible to attain a Waterstone late game, but it did a damn good job and I loved it's movepool. Magikarp was a pain to evolve because I had to keep switching for it to be able to actually gain XP, but boy oh boy was it worth it. I think what made this fun for me was mostly down to the Pokemon I ended up with as they were not ones I would've used in a standard game because you could only get them quite far in to the game or were a pain to evolve. I think the fact I didn't have Starmie and still managed to rip through all Gym Leaders and the E4 shows how great water types are in Emerald.
