I am sucker for the rugged look, a guy who doesn't mind working out or spending time in nature, hair's a little wiry, a touch of 5 o'clock shadow is okay with me too. Richard Madden has that going on. At the same time he has this almost boyish cuteness to me that's endearing. I think it's in the smile, it's warm, and the eyes are bright and seem open and trustworthy.

happy birthday to my forever celebrity crush

I was recently rewatching Rome, and dazzled by how stunning the women are, and what a job the costume designer did. I think all of the women in the series are extremely photogenic, and I thought I would make a tribute to some of that beauty here. These are my top 3.

I think Eirene has an interesting face. She was always cute, and when she has a chance to put on some finery she makes quite the Cinderella transformation.



Servilla is also quite striking and patrician. Her skin is really smooth, and she's intense and emotive. This powerful actress communicates so much with so little movement or few words, it's all in the expression on her face, or tone of voice, and she just commands my attention. She has great presence.



My favorite is without doubt is Niobe, she has a figure like a graceful swan with a long neck. She also has such feminine, delicate facial features, and a exotic, dark beauty that in enhanced by all the bold colors around her. I said swan, but maybe pretty as a peacock is would be the better descriptor. I just love to watch her.
