Common Grounds

In this game you list any three Pokemon related things (Trainers, Items, Routes/Regions, Pokemon, Moves, Abilities etc. etc. ) and the next person to post has to guess what they have in common and list three new Pokemon related things.
It's okay if the three things have more than one thing in common, they just need to have something in common! If there is more than 1 commonality you only have to say one, but are free to mention any others too.

You are allowed to give a short hint (1-5 words) if you think the thing your three have in common might be hard to guess. Giving a hint or not is completely optional!

Strength works too, but I had surf in mind. Rhydon learns surf for some reason.

I'll let someone else answer @Vielleroue's post since I just played.

I guess they are part of a "multiple different entities" category? Falinks consists of many different ones, Kangaskhan has its baby and Calyrex has its Glastrier/Spectrier?

Snorlax, Roselia, Sudowoodo?

They can all breed a baby form if holding a specific Incense while breeding?
Or perhaps it's just that they have a baby pre-evo.

Archie, Maxie, Lysandre

They're all villainous team bosses! Additionally, all featured in Gen VI, even though Archie and Maxie debuted in Gen III.

Koga, Byron, Melony

They're all gym leaders who are parents. Their kids are also gym leaders.

What do Raticate, Combee, and Rufflet have in common?

They all have Hustle as their Hidden Ability.

What do Togepi, Piplup and Axew have in common?

They were all walking Pokémon like Ash's Pikachu! They were rarely seen being sent back to their Poké Balls, and most often seen wandering around with their respective Trainers - Misty, Dawn and Iris. Additionally, said Trainers were all Ash's companions, and thus said Pokémon eventually became good friends with Ash's Pikachu.
