    Well! Its that time of the week again! Now this time, its about two interesting bug pokemon from Generation V: Escavalier, and Accelgor.

    Similarities:
    ~ Both are bug pokemon
    ~ Both evolve by trading w/ their counterparts
    ~ Both have a 495 base stat total

    Differences:
    ~ Escavalier is also part steel
    ~ Accelgor is a pure Bug type
    ~ Escavalier has more Attack, Defense, and Special Defense stats
    ~ Accelgor has more HP, Special Attack, and Speed stats

    So, which pokemon do you prefer and why?

    Is there a 'Neither' option available? If I had to choose, Accelgor would probably take it, as it's mega-super-awesomely fast, and I like that in my critters over pretty much any other stat. But I'd still rather pick 'neither'.
     
    I like escavalier's design better, but accelegor has wicked awesome stats and moves, so that tipped the scale for me.
    The speed AND HP allow it to serve as a semi tank that's still a fast hitter. (That's very rare)
    Lastly, accelegor can learn final gambit, which is surprisingly useful.
     
    Love Accelgor. It looks so cool and I love that it's so fast. I wish they had given it a secondary typing though, like Ghost or Dark.
     
    As much as I'd like to vote for Accelgor for its insane Speed and okay Special Attack, my vote will go to Escavalier because it's a snail knight with lances. Too bad it has a shallow movepool, though.
     
    I like the ninja thing that Accelgor has going on, but design-wise it has more potential imo.

    I chose Escavalier in the poll purely cause I think it looks pretty cool :)
     
    Escavalier design looks better and for me it was pretty useful in battle. Although it was SUPER slow. I like it a little better that you could get Karrablast earlier as well which made my choice between the two easier. Pretty disappointed in the typing, I was hoping Accelgor was going to be Bug/Ghost ninja like Ninjask.
     
    I'd choose Accelgor. A ninja-mummy-bug thing with 140 Speed and 100 Sp. Atk? Yes, please!

    I agree completely!

    My vote does to Accelgor. It is just so cool. I love it.

    Escavalier is pretty epic too though. It's like a knight bug from the Middle Ages :D

    Escavalier. The designs of both Escavalier and Accelgor leave something to be desired, though Escavalier has an edge with its knight motif. Both of their names are 50% cool, 50% rough on the tongue. I like the incorporation of the terms cavalier and accel (-eration), though. The overuse of pink and small spirals (despite the snail theme) detracts from both designs. Accelgor's mask is even worse because the pink clashes with the green. Also, I slightly dislike how Escavalier's lance looks a bit like a candy cane. :<

    Furthermore, Escavalier's pre-evo wins bonus points for being a beetle that preys on snails by forcing their way inside the shell.

    And yeah, Accelgor should have definitely had Dark-type or Ghost-type as a secondary typing. Speed Boost would have also been a better fitting Ability, to reference acceleration.

    WTF?! We now have FIVE Bug/Steel-types! Sigh...that type combination used to be unique AND cool, mainly because of Scizor. Now, it's getting overused like heck, and Genosect even looks like Scizor+ a nuclear cannon... -.-
     
    I dislike both of them, to be honest, but I prefer Escavalier. I think it looks cooler and it's kinda cute. :>

    I prefer the other one's pre-evolution though, with the "o3o" face, haha. So cute. ._.
     
    For bug types I think Escavalier is the most risky. It's bug and steel so fire will pretty much decimate it but against anything else it can hold it's own. I love it's design, haven't had a knight pokemon and for it to be a bug, I think it's awesome.

    Also, I love Escavalier's design - typing, not so hot, but it looks awesome. I like physical attackers more than specials, and I don't put much stock in speedsters.
     
    I don't really like either to be honest. They both don't appeal to me. But seeing as I have to choose one of them it'd have to be Accelgor. I like its design better and I like how it has a very high speed stat. I also tend to prefer special attackers over physical attackers. Escavalier is too slow for my liking.
     
    Both are horrible. I voted the wrong one, by the way, because I don't know their names and the sprites are in a different order than the names in the thread title.

    So the one with the steel armor and stuffs is the one I like better. Not the ninja turd.
     
    Accelgor. It looks pretty tough--and really needs more appriciation. I also like its colors.
     
    I'd go with Escavalier. I tend to prefer defensive pokemon and it looks like a knight, which I think is really cool.
     
    I would vote for the under dog but I am going to vote for Accelgor because he looks looks wicked.
