    The Ayria Region. For centuries, this region has been protected by the legendary Guardian of the Sea. During a specific event called the Festival of Water, the Guardian of the Sea blesses the people of the Ayria region with its power of providing wind and water for the habitat's daily life, dating all the way back to Ayria's ancient past, creating a pact with the humans who wished for its plea. However, that would only occur if a special instrument has been played by a chosen maiden, picked every 50 years.

    The Water Festival is an event attracting the locals of Ayria, and foreigners from distant other regions, hoping to get a glimpse of the Guardian of the Sea's power. It is also an event that supports the pokemon trainers attending this event, providing a challenge where trainers travel throughout the region, battling and testing their skills in order to become Ayria's yearly champion, or adventuring for whatever purpose they wish to fufill for themselves, and their pokemon.

    You're a trainer attending the Water Festival in Ayria. Whether you're a fairly new or experienced trainer, a local trainer from Aria or a trainer from abroad, you're interested in traveling throughout the island based region of Ayria, for your own reasons. You also get to have the chance to meet the other trainers or general pokemon owners throughout the region too.

    However, the cogs of fate starts turning... your destiny in Ayria will soon be recognized. How will you deal with your fate? What adventures will you have with your friends, and your rivals? Your destiny is in your hands...

    Completely surrounded by the sea, the Ayria Region has a diverse ecology made up of with Pok?mon that have more recently arrived in Ayria for centuries.

    Despite being an island based region with traditionalist values, the city does well for itself, having cities that feels modernized, all thanks to the blessings of the Sea Guardian, the locals would casually thank. The weather tends to be warm/humid seasonally, which adds to the importance of the usage of water in the region; from helping to grow plant life, to sustaining wild pokemon who inhabit it.

    The region is also home to a distinct and beloved kingdom, ruled by a royal court. The current King is Lord Pegasus, also known as the "Silver Shield". Extraordinarily charismatic, intelligent, and handsome, Pegasus's skill and knowledge with his Pokemon and tactics, gave him and a reputation of invincibility, making him the favored choice of the people to rule over the land. But overall, he wishes nothing but peace and prosperity for the region and his people, hoping they would all live in eternal happiness.

    The princess of this region is of course, his lovely daughter, Lady Celica, who is also the new Maiden of Water. She's as kind and polite person, who is often bold yet refined, like her father, who also wishes for nothing but peace for the region.

    Ayria is made of two islands, one holding the more modernized urban cities of the region, with subtle sea pokemon life. Most tourists visit this part of Ayria, because of the amount of shops and other attractions is has. It is also the ideal site of the events that Ayria holds, such as the Festival of Water. The city is powered by electricity produced by wind and hydro power from the gentle water that it holds.

    The other island seems a bit more traditional, featuring the main kingdom's castle. It also has a lot more forests, mountains, and rivers, generally featuring more pokemon. While not as modernized as the other island of Ayria, it still relies of wind and water energy for electricity.

    Respect should always be given! As fellow RPers in this game, we should all work together to ensure that we all have the most fun and positive atmosphere that we can possibly have. So, please give others the respect that you would like to be given in return!

    Rating is T for teen, so, descriptions of violence and romance should be kept on a decently tasteful level, something that a modest age group audience could enjoy.

    Try to post at least once every 7 days. So before you consider joining here, you need to make that effort to keep your activity constant! If it's not within your power to post within 7 days, let me know beforehand and I can give you an extension! Otherwise, I'll have to free up your slot for someone else.

    There are no levels in this RP. So, how pokemon learn new moves or evolves is by your own prerogative. That being said, try to be realistic and subtle with this; for example, a Dratini couldn't really evolve into a Dragonite in a very small amount of time

    Wait for each new area! Don't really go off on your own to further areas until I show each area at a time. This is just to keep things less confusing and more organized for you.​

    Selen?s

    Selen?s is the biggest and most popular city in Ayria, full of shops, tourist attractions, apartments, and so much more. In the center of the city lies a very large water fountain, filled with water type pokemon. The fountain has a passage that connects to separate rivers, where these certain pokemon swim and play from. The city itself is modernized, and resembles certain cities from Unova in many ways.

    When travelers come to Ayria for the first time, they first pass by the docks on the edge of this city, until they travel all the up to the main blocks. Because of the city's size, most people prefer to travel by the cable trains that run through many different spots in the city, or by a simple car. However, there are still many people who travel by foot, so one can expect some crossings to have multiple people at once.

    One of the most popular tourist attractions is the local pokemon lab that sits near the far end of the city. The owner of the lab, Professor Elizabeth, helps out newcomer trainers by providing starter pokemon for their journey, as well as a few essential items that they would need.

    If a traveler crosses the city path way from Selen?s and follow a stream from a river, they would eventually reach ?re?s, a far smaller town than Selen?s, but often praise for its scenery and friendly atmosphere.

    ?re?s is home to a lot more aquatic pokemon, and is often famous for its battle challenges and tournaments. During their travels, trainers would often come by here to either learn the basics from the pokemon schools around here, or more experienced trainers would test their skills in the battle facilities, and weekly street tournaments.

    H?rmou

    H?rmou is a port city where one can sail from the first island of Ayria, to the next. Ships and passenger boats come by every some often for trading purposes between regions, and for ferry crossing for travelers.

    Some of the best food is served in H?rmou too, which makes it a great attraction for those from the second island of Ayria. With the Kingdom of Ayria connected, this port city is said to mend the ties between the two islands.

    Di?s
    Di?s is the port town of the Kingdom of Ayria, connecting with H?rmou. If one should come here from the cities of Ayria, they would notice that the town is much more old-fashioned, with the people there wearing more traditional attire than the more modernized island. This island more appreciate the traditional respects of the Guardian of the Sea, and the kingdom.

    The town has a relaxing, yet robust atmosphere. People come here to eat, to meet up with old friends, and to prepare for the travels to the kingdom ahead.

    Aphrod?t?s

    Travelling through the grasslands and forests from the port city, one would eventually reach Aphrod?t?s. Aphrod?t?s is like a medieval England society when it comes to social behaviors, and agriculture. Their own brand of modernized technology still exists. There were simple buildings like you see here today, as well as proper lighting, cooking, and so on.

    Pokemon battles are also quite common in Aphrod?t?s. There is a ranking system based on the collection of symbols. Each of these symbols are represented by certain element, and are earned by defeating many pokemon trainers participating. Many kids and teenagers have been trying to collect these symbols - some failed, some succeeded. Why do they try? It's for respect, money, and influence.

    Kr?nou

    Kr?nou, being the capital of Ayria, is of course the largest town in all of the kingdom. The first settlers of Kr?nou made their homes on a rim that was created from a meteor storm that was said to be created by a legendary being, but later began developing the inside of the crater to obtain a more comfortable environment.

    Kr?nou is a tiered city with separate living areas for different social classes. The nobles and royalty live on the top tier, where the shopping district is. More importantly, this is where the castle of Ayria is, where the King and his daughter lives, alongside the Royal knights, watching over Kr?nou for many generations

    The people who are middle and lower class live in the lower tier of Kr?nou. While the people of the nobility and royalty often look down on the people living in the lower tier, the middle and lower class people didn't mind it at all; they still continued to live peaceful lives.

    Robin sports a rather fair skin complexion, tending to be a little on the pale side. She has bright, lime-green eyes and long chocolate brown hair that easily reaches down past her knees. Robin usually keeps her hair pulled up into two rather long and messy twin tails. Robin tends to stand a bit on the short side, just barely managing to be a solid 5'1" in height. She tends to be a bit on the active side, and as a result she sports a rather slender body build. Robin is not one who likes to wear things such as skirts and dresses. As a result, she commonly can be seen in more comfortable clothing, such as shorts and sneakers. One constant however, is that all of her outfits tend to have some sort of blue in them. The girl absolutely adores the color and refuses to go one day without wearing it in some form of clothing and in some shade. Robin sports three piercings on her left ear, while her right is completely piercing free.​

    Personality

    A generally positive thinker with energy to spare. Robin is one to approach every challenge with a smile and a will to never give up, no matter how difficult it may seem. Robin is generally a very friendly girl, always willing to greet everyone with a smile and lend an ear to anyone who may need it. A tomboy by nature, Robin always spent a good deal of time outside playing games like baseball instead of playing with dolls and the like. Because of this, she prides herself on being tough and a bit stronger than most girls her age. Because of her hyper active tendancies, Robin often has a hard time managing to keep quiet and still at points. This has been a problem for her as long as she can remember, often getting her into trouble when she was in school for not being able to keep still during class. She also has a habit to start rambling away while talking, letting her imagination get the best of her as she lets the endless possibilities of something run through her mind. Always one to be a bit on the clumsy side, sneaking about is not her strong suit by any means. Robin is absolutely terrified of heights.​

    History

    ​
    Robin was born in the Kalos region, within the city of Lumiose to be exact. The girl was orphaned shortly after her birth. However due to the fact that she was both adopted and moved at the tender age of two years old, Robin does not have any recollection of her time within the capital city of Kalos. Robin was adopted by a lesbian couple known as Victoria and Avril Levigne. She is the second daughter of the duo, being proceeded by her 19 year old adopted sister named Ruby. Training Pok?mon is an activity that runs within her family and while she was never forced into the family tradition by either parent, Robin just seemed to naturally be enthralled with the aspect of being a Pok?mon trainer. Unlike her family however, who all had spent the bulk of their trainer careers within the Kalos region, Robin wished to spread her wings and try her hand at becoming a trainer in a different region. This was not a decision the girl made to try and spite her family. In fact, she has the utmost respect for them all. Rather, it was a choice Robin had made to make a name for herself and attempt to forge her own path in the Pok?mon world.

    Robin had initially planned to venture to a closer region, such as Kanto or Alola. However, all that changed when the girl caught wind of the Festival of Water being held within the region of Ayria. The prospect of being able to partake in a yearly contest of sorts to become the region champion was more than enough to spark an intense interest within the girl's being and before she knew it, Robin was off to embark on the adventure of a lifetime.​

    Appearance
    Rayne, formerly an all natural blonde, stands at a dead even 6 feet tall. These days, however, he regularly dyes his hair a deep blue to match his eyes. The result can differ from time to time leaving him with a delicate purple hue. He's quite the stickler with keeping it maintained throughout the day. He'll usually be roughing up the back to give it a messier look or twiddling the bangs between his thumb and index finger out of habit.

    Growing up in the Hoenn region amidst the tropical, summery weather has dictated most of his clothing choices and defined his skin complexion. Darker than one might be from the coldest parts of Sinnoh, yet lighter than the most passionate surfers of Alola. Though Rayne's wardrobe consists of mostly plain, v-neck style shirts paired with denim capris, he will also throw on a black track style jacket to combat the slight chill that can overtake the region at night. He's no stranger to digging his feet into the sand so he will often be found barefoot or with a simple pair of sandals.


    History​
    Until Rayne was 13 years old, he never exactly had time to settle into one place. His father's work drug him between many of the cities that Hoenn had to offer until they had finally found a permanent home in Mossdeep City. It was here that he met his fated partner in Psyduck that ignited his love for Pokemon and battling in general. Starting a year or two later than most of the other kids at the local trainers academy, Rayne was a little behind. He pushed himself throughout the coming years and finally became a graduate at the age of 16.

    The year following was spent working, saving money, and training himself on the island that Mossdeep resided on. Truth be told, that island still didn't quite feel like home to him. The restlessness of his childhood had come back to him and he began to look for a fresh start. Deciding on Ayria, he found himself an apartment inside the city of Selenes. It wasn't the nicest place he could have found himself in, but the cozy studio apartment was perfect for the time being. There he began to work and train himself as he looked forward to taking on the challenge at the Water Festival.

    Personality ​
    Rayne is no stranger to meeting new people throught his life, leaving himself able to handle social situations with the best of them. If not a bit forcefully when his mood leans towards the quiet side, he still manages to put forth his best effort to be friendly to everyone he meets. A very kind hearted individual, Rayne always looks after his closest friends and family to the best of his ability. This is often shown by the smile he will display when it comes down to simply helping a stranger with directions. He knows many and many of the simple "ins and outs" of life and will lend an ear to anyone who might need it. His big heart can cause him to take criticisms or rude remarks a little bit too deep for his liking. This will cause him to feel like a burden of some sort. He has a bad habit of storing many of these negative emotions inside of him and at times can inevitably fall apart.

    One could say that Rayne is addicted to the "rush" of life. Whether it be battling, training, or seeing new places, among many other things. To others it might not be a big deal, but to him, the experiences and memories he makes give him his sense of purpose. He will always push himself to his limits, keeping himself so busy that he pushes himself to the point of exhaustion.

    Despite his gentle misdemeanor, Rayne loves to express himself in battle through raw aggression. Often raiding his enemies head on to inflict as much damage as possible, as fast as possible. He often finds success against like minded individuals, however, trainers employing more defensive tactics can quickly find holes in his pursuit and exploit them.

    Name: Jason Lok

    Gender: Male

    Age: 16

    Appearance: Standing at 5'10, lean and looking fairly tan, has messy black hair, sharp looking blue eyes, and a rather serious expression in his face. Normally wears a blue hooded jacket, a black t-shirt, blue jeans and sneakers. Always has a white guitar necklace on him.

    History: Coming from Selenēs, Jason was a sickly kid, having to spend a good amount of his childhood having a hard time playing with others and so spent a lot of time inside his house. While that made him introverted as a kid, he tried to be as good to others as he could, with mixed results. But in time, he got better, and was able to truly make a few friends. His relationship with his parents is close, helping his dad, detective Oliver Lok, to keep his focus and wits during cases, and his mom, architect Clover, with her ideas and to keep things organized.

    The Festival is quite a spectacle, and with all the people in one place, it'll make for an amazing experience, and he won't miss it.

    Personality: While outwardly, Jason is serious and seems to not like most people, it all fades away as you talk to him, being polite and kind, if somewhat awkward around other people, with a wish to help whenever he can. However, he has a hard time being affectionate, and more meaningful gestures are done with a hard time looking at the people in the eye. His attention to detail and patience make him very good at investigating, and he is rather clever, even if sometimes he doesn't seem to be paying attention. But he is rather easily distracted.
    Talents: Music (drums and guitar, is a singer too, but doesn't do it often), investigation, sneaking around, fast runner.
    Weaknesses: Can barely cook, lacks tact, has a hard time with hints.

    Appearance: Despite Arthur Palmer's great travel experience he maintains a youthfulness in his style. His hair is messy and although his clothing is high quality his outfits are more cobbled together than planned. He stands at 5 feet and 8 inches but insists he's going to make it to 5'11''.

    History: Arthur Palmer was born into a wealthy and large family in the Sinnoh region which has big plans for him. Arthur Palmer has never been a fan of the world of finance and business and is instead a lover of travel and adventure. Arthur is trying to make the most of his time and explore the world before he is forced to settle down with spreadsheets and suits. Secretly, he hopes if he accomplishes enough on his journeys that his family will see his accomplishments outside of the business world as important and let him lead the life he chooses-without cutting him off financially, of course.

    The Festival of Water, the competition and the adventures in the Ayria region are all a chance to prove Arthur's worth and skill to his family and the world.

    Personality: Arthur Palmer has a natural air of confidence which drifts into an overbearing smugness. He underestimates most strangers he meets and assumes he is stronger, smarter and better than anyone at anything until proven otherwise. He also expects anything that stands in his way to be toppled with relative ease and can become discouraged quickly if a task is too hard. Despite his inflated self-sense of worth and skill he is kind towards others, if a little condescending. His wealthy background has also left him spoiled and used to a lavish lifestyle.

She has blue eyes and slightly tanned skin from working on a ranch for most of her life. She is usually wearing a white shirt with blue overalls and brown boots, as well as a cowboy hat. At formal occasions, she wears a green shirt dress with white sleeves.

    History
    Violet is the daughter of Marco and Belle Caine from the Sinnoh Region. Ever since a young age, Violet fed Pokémon, watered plants, and helped out with chores around the ranch that her family owned. On this ranch, the family kept a Scyther in order to harvest some of the crops. As Violet grew older, she began taking care of this Scyther until her 8th birthday when she was allowed to have it. This began her interest in Pokémon training as she and Scyther fought some of the local trainers. Within no time, Violet became stronger than most of her peers.

    One year, when Violet's family was raising some Duckletts, Violet kept finding one of them outside of the fence. Almost every day it seemed that the same Ducklett would get loose. Eventually, Violet got so tired of tracking it down and putting it back in everyday, she decided to keep it close to her in the house. Spending so much of her day observing it and making sure it doesn't leave, Violet became somewhat attached to the Duck and decided to train it alongside Scyther.

    When Violet heard about the Festival of Water taking place in the Ayria Region, she saw it as a once in a lifetime opportunity, and decided to take her Pokémon and attend. When she brought the idea to her parents, they were reluctant at first, but ultimately allowed her to go.

    Positive
    Violet is very social and outgoing, often speaking her mind. She is quick to trust and befriend almost everyone she meets, and with someone she's comfortable with, she can talk until the Tauros come home. Her life of working on a ranch has given her extensive experience in taking care of Pokémon as well as nursing them back to Health when they're hurt.

    Negative
    However, Violet does have a tendency to speak her mind even when she probably shouldn't. Her friendly outlook results in her being somewhat gullible, and while some may see her ability to talk for long periods of time as a positive trait, others see it as an annoyance. She is quite easily impressed, especially by technology, which she saw little of in her childhood.

    also for chars that are more experienced trainers, will they be starting fresh when they come to Ayria or could they bring along a mon or two from a previous journey?

    i know i'm kinda notorious for being inactive in rps, but i should be free now that i'm on break. i've been looking to hop back into the rpc here and this looks like a lot of fun, so hopefully i'll have an su up in the next couple of day!

    Fair skinned, slim Nolan stands at 5'11", just short of being six feet tall. Unruly, mocha-colored hair covers his head, with no attempts made to keep it in order. Nolan's sharp, sea green eyes—covered by glasses—are often a point of attention, but most don't know is that they are fake contacts made to color his usually stormy gray eyes. For apparel, Nolan prefers to be semi-formal, with his favorite outfit being a white dress shirt paired with a black jacket and dress pants. If it gets too warm, he'll simply take the jacket off. Sometimes, but not often, he's seen in more casual attire. No matter what he wears, though, he can always be seen with a pair of bright yellow headphones either over his ears or around his neck.​

    Born in Nimbasa City, Nolan is originally an Unova native, the only child of a Unovan detective. Many of his fondest memories are going out with his father and helping him solve cases ranging from finding missing Pokemon to investigating hardened criminals running around the region when not attending school. From a young age Nolan showed a lot of a promise in being a future detective himself, often noting small details that his experienced father did not. It was practically expected of him to take over the family business and also become a local Unova detective. And for a while, Nolan also thought he was going to become just another Williams detective.

    Being tied to just one region, though, had never sounded appealing to Nolan. Detective work was enjoyable for the boy, but what he really enjoyed was traveling all over the Unova region with his Solosis and his father and visiting interesting locales like the tropical resort town Undella or Lacunosa Town, which had a wall built around it because of (what Nolan thought was) superstition. He had also grown very envious of the trainers that he had came into contact over the years. He had his own Pokemon, sure, but there weren't many opportunities to battle that came up during sleuthing. The thought of traveling, meeting all kinds of people and Pokemon, while solving crimes quickly took over his mind, but Nolan understood the expectations of him and knew he couldn't just leave. Nolan was quite indecisive about what to do next, until he found out about the Water Festival of Ayria. Word of the event, combined with a friend telling him about the International Police, helped dispel the indecisiveness plaguing Nolan's mind.

    Imagine the surprise from his father when Nolan announced that he would be postponing further detective training to travel to the region of Ayria, perhaps trying to join the International Police in the future. The idea was met with strong resistance from his father—particularly out of some prejudice for the International Police--but eventually, gave Nolan his best wishes in pursuing his dreams.​

    "Hmph... so my deduction was correct."

    Nolan has always been told that he's more mature than most adults. Indeed, Nolan always keeps a cool, calm composure when dealing with most situations. Being emotional always has the potential to sour a situation, he believed. Nolan is also very observant, often picking up on details that are glossed over by others. He also prides himself on his book smarts, boasting a variety of knowledge on different subjects. Nolan can be quite cynical at times, often to a point of irritation with others. Nolan may have an air of maturity, but he's still a teenager. He's also susceptible to becoming conceited, and can't stand being wrong or being told that he's wrong about anything. Overthinking a situation and thus making unnecessary judgments happens often with Nolan, a large part of why he lacks battling prowess. Nolan cannot stand being 'bad' at something—if he's not good at it, he'll work furiously to improve at it out of a fear of being embarrassed.​

    Appearance: Standing at five-foot-six, Kayla is slightly above the average height of other women her age. She has a rather long and slender figure which matches perfectly with her height. However she's not all skin and bone as she's built up a good bit of lean muscle from her many years of running. While many do find the young lady to be quite appealing to the eyes the most eyecatching feature about her is most definitely her fiery red hair. While friends and foes alike may tease her for her crimson locks, she takes pride in her hair color. For the most part she just leaves it down, but when she's running or partaking in some other physical activity she likes to tie it up into a ponytail. No matter how much time she's spent out in the sun, like many of her fellow redheads, her unblemished skin has remained a pale white tone.

    As for her wardrobe, it usually depends on the situation. When she's out running Kayla will wear some normal athletic attire and when she's not she'll probably be wearing some sort of preppy attire. However, her favorite outfit is rather simple. A white button down shirt, along with a coat that her father gifted her, paired with some leggings and finished off with a pair of white high-tops. She carries around a satchel-styled bag which holds her supplies and poke-balls.

    History: Kayla grew up in Couriway Town of the Kalos region as the oldest of two daughters. Her home life was rather stable, with a loving mother and father at home. They were often consumed with their work as Pokemon Breeders, but tried to find time for their children when they could. That being said, they could be a bit overprotecting at times and wanted their eldest daughter to stay at home to continue building the foundation for her to take over the family's breeding and daycare service. However, when they saw just how determined she was in becoming a trainer, they decided it was best for their daughter to go experience the world.

    At the age of 17, the young woman set off on a journey throughout the region, making her way all the way to the Kalos Pokemon League. She never defeated the Elite Four, but she returned home satisfied with her adventure and the memories she made a long the way. Kayla settled down and studied under her parents as a breeder, becoming quite skilled over the years. She eventually took over the ranch and oversaw it for a number of years. However, after some time she became restless, the call of advenutre beckoned her once again. The timing seemed to be perfect as the Aryia Region's Festival of Water was coming up right on the horizon. Leaving the business in the care of her younger sister, Kayla set off once again, this time to Aryia.

    Strengths:

    Charismatic
    Always able to strike up a conversation with even the most awkward of people, she's been a social butterfly since the day of her birth. Even when she's being quite rude there's a certain likability about her that charms others.

    Compassionate
    Well at least to her pokemon. As the daughter of pokemon breeders, Kayla has always had an uncanny connection with most pokemon that she meets. While she's not an extremist when it comes to their proteciton, she does care quite a bit about their well being, more so than she does of most humans. However, when there are people that she actually cares about, she's fiercely loyal and protective of them, almost as much as she is towards her pokemon.

    Experience
    Having gone through her own journey, Kayla has already experienced many of the trials and tribulations one faces when embarking upon a quest as a trainer. Also, her time at the ranch has imbued her with knowledge on how to better care for pokemon and the different in's and out's of individual species.

    Weaknesses:

    Hot Blooded
    While she has matured some in this aspect, Kayla still has a short fuse. It's almost amazing how she can snap in a mere instant, exchanging her pearly white smile with some choice words and a glare that could make satan cry. When something sets her off it's like setting off a small nuke in the area, she'll be up in your face shouting in an instant.

    Impulsive
    With this short temper comes a rather impulsive nature. She'll come up with a resolution on what's on her mind at the moment, instead of thinking things through. This combined with her inability to control her emotions lead her to often make decisions where her feelings cloud her judgement.

    Name: Marik Vanita

    Appearance: First and foremost, this image was from a photoshoot. True appearance will not reflect the photo you see.

    Marik has long, black hair that is kept in fair condition. Silky, shiny, and luscious. His skin is pale, and his build is that of an average young man who travels in the Pokemon world. Albeit, he is a good runner and a decent climber.

    He dresses himself in clothing that his mother bestowed onto him that is reminiscent of his beloved partner, Poicasso. Although, he doesn't wear anything in his hear or on his head. Neither does he have actual tattoos, as the image would seem to prove. And of course, he does not have a dagger. That is a prop.

    History: Marik was born the only child of a successful woman named Angelica Vanita. However, his father had left before he was born. He had never known the origins of his father, nor much about him at all. The only thing she would say when young Marik brought up the topic, she would never fully explain. The most she would ever say, however, is that "it would be best for you not to know."

    Marik never understood why, but he soon forgot about thinking any further about the identity of his father. Angelica would personally tutor him about various topics and subjects, and would even have him play with her Pokemon. Specifically, a Hydreigon that she dubbed, "Malefica."

    Somehow, despite the stories about how horrible and frightening Hydreigon can be, she and Mauve grew very close. This was when he was a toddler, and accidentally brought her out of her Pokeball. He immediately hugged the dragon, and established a connection like no other. It was possible Malefica felt her own motherly instincts kick in, and Angelica was completely flabbergasted when she found out.

    Because of this, she felt it was safe for Marik to interact with her other Pokemon. If a baby can befriend a Hydreigon, nothing could hurt him. Especially when that Hydreigon was always close by.

    He gained a great understanding of the world around him, since his mother was also a worldly woman, and an accomplished coordinator.

    However, she did not allow him to travel until she felt he was properly ready, and had a pair of Pokemon she could trust would be a perfect fit for him. On his 18th birthday, Angelica presented him with a Seviper she had bred just for him, and the two had become very close after a few weeks of personal bonding and training. After admiring his Seviper more and more, the two became inseparable. This is when he dressed in the same fashion as his partner's design, but gave his Seviper the name, "Poicasso."

    After that, he came across a hurt and wounded Cascoon that tried to fight off a hungry Pidgeotto. Marik, feeling strong feelings to help the Cascoon, rescued it and battled it with Poicasso. Mistrusting at first, the Cascoon struggled hard. But, Marik refused to leave it alone, and brought her home. She was warmed up to Marik after he took intense care. From personally cleaning it, grooming it, and even having it sleep in his bed with Poicasso wrapped around it.

    When Cascoon evolved, Marik was blown away by Dustox's adorable form, and lovingly nicknamed her, "Toxy."

    Now, Angelica has sent Marik to this new region to prove himself for future endeavors.

    Personality: Marik is a very passionate trainer, and does not hold back when in the heat of battle. His views his Pokemon as works of art, and loves them more than anything. However, in the small instances when he did have to interact with other children, Marik had grown a very nasty side to him.

    He saw most other people beneath him. Becoming vain, condescending, and arrogant, he believes his future is living in glamour, and becoming one of the greatest trainers of all. And even still, Marik may disregard a Pokemon if he does not see them as "beautiful." He has a very specific taste in Pokemon. Regardless, he would never abandon a Pokemon in need. But any person? Maybe.

    Description - Johanna still has some growing to do, but for the time being she is 5'4, a natural, fiery redhead with her mother's steely grey eyes. She has a healthy physique for a young girl, likely due to her hours spent exploring forests, climbing trees, and shooting arrows. She also has a strange obsession with wearing hats (maybe not so weird once you learn her surname).

    Personality - Johanna is...eccentric, that's a nice way of saying a bit odd, right? Perhaps you've heard the phrase mad as a hatter? Well, again, we direct you to her surname. Johanna's head is constantly in the clouds, though she is a warm hearted girl, and incredibly bright. Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on how you see things) Johanna is aware that she is a bit odd, which makes her a bit shy around new people. Around her friends (namely Robin) she is as bubbly as can be, though around new people, she has a habit of clamming up, for fear that her...outgoing personality might frighten them off.

    History - Johanna is the daughter of Sasha, the lead Pokemon Ranger in Kalos, and Jareth, the lead singer of a band known as The Goblin Kings. As one can imagine, growing up with a rock-star father lead to a colorful childhood. After some events that befell Kalos before Johanna's birth, her parents were reluctant to allow her to go on a journey with her Pokemon until they felt she was prepared. As she waited for that time to come, Johanna busied herself by practicing archery, a skill which would eventually lead her to meeting her starter Pokemon, and best friend, Rowlett.

    A camera is usually the first thing you see when looking at Jameson Teak, a man who stands roughly six feet tall, in his boots. A messy tangle of dark brown hair hangs to the bottom of his ears, parted in the middle usually. Typically mushed over the hair is a wide brimmed floppy white canvas hat, which has pockets on the outside. Beneath this is fair skin which has been tanned a light golden brown by exposure to the sun, with little bruises and scrapes accenting his arms, legs and hands usually. A pair of brown eyes look out from his masculine face with his jaws and cheeks cutting something of a line, though usually it's hidden behind stubble or a light beard. A multipocketed vest usually adorns his body, which is worn over lightweight shortsleeve and longsleeve shirts , enough to cover him from the sun but not enough to add unneeded heat. Slung over his back and across his shoulders is a stuffed black pack, tripods cling to the sides, while straps, snaps, and zippers keep everything in place. Cargo pants with way too many pockets hang loosely from his waist to his fancy-looking hiking boots. Jameson Teak, or James, looks like a photographer from head to toe.

    History:
    Always one to see the world, James is visiting Ayria to photograph and document the Pokémon species indigenous to the area. Originally hailing from Kanto, where he stayed until about the age of ten, when he received his first Pokémon. After traveling the region for a few years, he began to more seriously document the native species. His efforts eventually took him to many other regions, and allowed him to see many marvelous Pokémon.

    Personality:
    James is very interested in learning, and appreciates the beauty of the world. Typically a calm and relaxed sort of person, he tries to keep his temper and manners in check. Choosing to say little unless asked to speak, James is perfectly happy being a listener. These traits work well for his efforts of tracking, studying, and documenting Pokémon.
    An eevee has taken a particular liking to James, and it follows him quite literally everywhere. It doesn't seem as if the pair participate in much, if any, combat but it does seem as if they have a very close bond with one another.
    James is skilled at understanding Pokémon, but not particularly good at fighting with them. It almost seems to make him sad or upset when Pokémon, or anyone for that matter, is fighting.

    Description: Melody is 5'2, slim, but shouldn't be underestimated. She has big, deep set, vibrant fuschia eyes and long, straight pastel pink hair. She often wears flowy dresses and heeled sandals. However, she enjoys cozy clothing as well, as she gets cold easily. Warm, soft cardigans, particularly, are her favourite.

    Personality: Melody appears rather meek and shy when you initially encounter her, however, she warms up to people rather quickly. Upon doing so, she reveals her bubbly, outgoing, charismatic, and rather childish personality. She may be perceived as flighty, even foolish at times. However, she is very intelligent, and when she's not socializing or spending time with her beloved pokemon, she devotes her time to reading and writing. Melody generally has a short attention span, unless she's reading, once she finds a good book she simply can't be bothered to put it down. Melody isn't overly interested in battling, instead she prefers exploring with her pokemon, all while raising and carrying for them. Pokemon contests also interest her, as she formerly competed in them.

    History: Melody is originally from Floaroma town, Sinnoh. She is the youngest child of six children. Melody's siblings are all considerably older than her. Despite this, she has immensely close bonds with all of her them, especially her older sister, Ophelia. While she adored her small, serene town, she always wanted to explore the Sinnoh region. Ophelia was a successful pokemon coordinator who Melody aspired to be like, and her older sister gave her guidance and encouraged her. At age 13, Melody entered her first pokemon contest in Eterna city, and for the next three years she competed in various pokemon contests with her pokemon, and made it all the way to the grand festival. After losing in the semi-finals, she decided to take a break from contests. Eventually, she left Sinnoh altogether, leaving behind her family and her two best friends whom she shared many adventures with, Milo and Anelise. This was after Melody's immense curiosity of the Ayria region overcame her.

    Betty has been blessed with rose-tinted pale skin with dark brown eyes to match. Her height clocks in at 5' 5" and a rather slender figure to accompany it. However, she is neither well endowed nor owns a warm voice. From her mouth a fun, high pitched voice emanates.

    Similar to her skin's tint is her pastel pink hair, large yet smooth and silky. It is of the norm to have it worn up in two buns; a large bun dangles behind whereas a smaller on and above her forehead. When not styled it cascades down her back and around her sides in a rippling fashion, halting just above her knees.

    Fashion isn't a priority for Betty, nor her appearance. Her typical attire consists of shorts, spaghetti shirts, and sweaters so thin they might as well be translucent. No jewelry is worn. As for footwear, either sandals or sneakers are used. Always matching with her footwear are the belts. On her belts is where her pokéballs are held in addition to a pouch withholding snacks for her Pokémon. The bag of her choosing is a white, multi-colored splotched decorated, drawstring bag with black strings.​


    History:


    Beatricia was born into a family of circus performers in Kalos. Their house was the top floor of the building they performed in, sitting in Lumiose City. From a young age she was integrated into the performances beginning as an adorable assistant. As the years passed she took on the role of the family mermaid along with a brother when swimming and doing stunts in floating water bubbles was added to the show.

    Throughout the years exploration and a chance to see a bigger world has been a dream for Beatricia.​


    Personality:


    + Jolly: Her cheery and happy nature helps her get by. Molded by her prior career, putting on a smile is second nature to the young lady. Unfortunately this attitude follows her in all situations, including those where it is not welcome or appropriate.

    + Persistence: Despite obstacles and dilemmas, Betty will not drop from her course of action. This bundle of patience and endurance aids her in conquering issues, yet can come off as stubborn, for not everything she does or believes is for the best.

    + Bold: Confident. Courageous. It's necessary in situations where such bravery may be the best or only solution. However, not all risks are needed. Not all risks will help. Betty doesn't seem to care.

    + Hard Working: Nearly a decade of work in entertainment engraved Beatricia with a need to keep herself busy, regardless of how. Yet this can lead to pushing herself past her limits, as well as a woman who doesn't stop to assess her condition.

    + Emotional: Despite her demeanor, Betty is not afraid to let her emotions drive her. This is a dangerous thing, for just like happiness can lead her to a wondrous human, anger can force her to seem cynical. Unstable even.
