I like the back to its shadow gives it a cooler look

I prefer the front sprite, thank you very much. The front sprite has a better facial expression, like it's a menacing creature ready to attack. The back sprite just looks like it's staring in amazement at something. Plus, with showing the paws, the front sprite looks like it's strong and willing to punch out anyone in its way.

Can I join this club? Typhlosion is one of my favorites and is my most favorite Second Gen Poke.

I think the back sprite makes Typhlosion look more fierce and intimidating, while the front sprite still makes Typhlosion look ferocious but shows its cuteness.

But I think zel's front sprite for Typhlosion (Typhlosion's front sprite in ShinyGold) makes him look very fierce while showing the cuteness at the same time.

I'm not very good with nicknames either, but I think something with 'Typh' works well. I just like that combination of letters.

Both look nice, but I prefer the front sprite, because its cuteness shines through. Also, there's something wrong with the back sprite--the shading. Shouldn't the flames illuminate the surrounding area?
