I'm an atheist too, but for some reason, I tend to pray before a big thing. Even though I don't pray to God, I just pray for the heck of it.

I pray on nights when the moon shines down on us, the stars twinkling at us from the heavens. I pray when I feel the energies of the world stirring around me, when my spine tingles from the feeling.

But, I pray to a Lady and her Lord. And I simply pray to thank them.
