We don't have much poison/ghost-types out there aside from Gengar, so having another one would definitely be awesome. :p Any ideas on how it would look, though? Personally, I could imagine its top body to seem sort of humanoid, and its lower part could be made of fog and smoke.

Doesn't Mold Breaker already do that?

Mold Breaker cancels out abilities that mess around with attacks. Such as allowing Ground attacks to hit those with Levitate or allowing Status attacks to affect those with Magic Bounce.

Plague is more specific; it would make anyone susceptible to poisoning- including other Poison types and Steel types.

Hmm, lots of stuff. No, I don't know who Mr. Yuk is, sorry.

A garbage Pokémon that switches forms would definitely be unique, I can't really picture it though. What kind of design would it have for each form?

I like having a Poison/Ghost-type as long as it actually makes use of it's Poison-type unlike Gengar who rarely does. A humanoid with fog making up it's lower half? Interesting. That sounds more Fighting to me, but maybe you're picturing something I'm not.

Plague sounds like a crazy ability. Poison and Steel-types getting poisoned would definitely shake the game up, that's for sure.

Really? That's extremely lame. Yeah, it definitely is garbage alright. I don't see how it can't learn Poison Jab, that makes no sense. Does it at least learn Gunk Shot?

I've used Garbodor for a while when it had been introduced, but didn't really like it. :( Its stats aren't that great overall, and has a very limited movepool. Though, it could be fixed out if they decide to give it an evolution at some point in future. Not really sure how it'd look, though, haha.

Ehh, not sure about an evolution, I feel like an evolution would be way too bully looking, I don't see it being a great idea. Also, all three of the pollution trio are only 2 stage families, so they'd probably give Muk and Weezing evos too, at least that's my guess.

Yes, she can at least learn Gunk Shot :)

Not sure if Game Freak can pull off a third evolution stage for any of the Poison-type Pokemon. Most of them are so basic in design that the evolutions were simply a size upgrade. Ekans into Arbok, Grimer into Muk, Trubbish into Garbodor, and Koffing into Weezing... actually, I don't think I can name any 3-stage evolution Pokemon that are solely Poison-type. Even dual-type Poison Pokemon tend to be 2-stage: Drapion and Skuntank are good examples. Just means they need to start handing out mega-evolutions to them :)

New topic, something a bit different so put your thinking caps on!

What Poison-type would you like to see as a main character of a spin-off game?

Assuming we aren't talking about an 8-gym + Elite Four type Pokemon game, and rather something like Pokemon Trozei, then I choose Oddish.

Oddish would star in a game similar to Farmville, but with Pokemon battles. The farmer/trainer would use Oddish to solve problems on the farming property (similar to Pokemon Ranger) and also to help grow crops. Oddish could evolve over the course of the game, and into either Vileplume or Bellossom at the player's choice; Which could lead to different in-game experiences such as Bellossom getting more farming quests and Vileplume getting more battle quests.

The player would be able to befriend other kinds of Pokemon, but they would only be able to help out in certain situations, and require certain foods as payment (which ties back into the farming).

Farmville? Not what I expected and probably not anywhere near where Nintendo will ever go, but it's a unique concept. Where exactly would the battling come in?

I think Koffing would be a good choice for a spin-off, I think they could make a funny game out of it :P

You would battle Pokemon that are terrorizing your farm. I imagine Snorlax would be a boss stage of some kind.

I'd pick either Venusaur or Gengar, but they won't be able to make much good of a main character, though, as they probably wouldn't have much luck drawing in younger audience. xD;; Cause of this, I would have to go with something small, such as either Bulbasaur, Nidoran, Budew, or Roselia.

Snorlax would be the ultimate boss. After all, he is the champion of eating in the Pokémon world :P

Bulbasaur is a good idea, I like a game where you play as Nidoran and you could pick to be male or female Nidoran when you start. A game with Gengar would be quite fun though :P

The pollution trio in what would basically be Risk; corrupt as much of the world as possible.

But the question is- are you really a winner?

Basically a free-roaming sort of game. You just wander about, leaving a wake of ruin. You have to try and cover as much of the land as possible, before the land recovers.

A territory thing, yeah.

You choose between Muk, Weezing, and Garbodor. Each with their own strengths/weaknesses.

Muk would be your typical sorta tank. By far the slowest- but also the most powerful. And his corruption would last the longest.

Weezing the complete opposite. Being airborne, he'd be very quick- but his noxious gasses could be dissipated fairly quickly. He'd have to camp out in an area for a bit to make sure that his poisons destroyed all life effectively.

Garbodor would also move fairly slowly and his corruption mechanic would work kinda differently; he needs trash in order to destroy the wild. So he'd always have to stick around cities at first, before being able to stray further out. His biggest advantage would be being able to use people's effects against them.

Something like that.
