Unova gets points for Scolipede's line, but that's it. Hoenn never did anything for me and Sinnoh had Drapion and the oh so sought after Toxicroak that you guys all love :P

Wake up people! New topic time:

Are there any Poison-type Pokémon you disliked at first that grew on you later?

Croagunk/Toxicroak :P I never really liked them, but I've taken more of an appreciation for them. I guess Beedrill as well, I never cared for it because I thought of it at weak in the games and always just thought of it as evil in the anime, so I never used it :P

Ya know, I hadn't really though of it, but Victreebel is a good one for me too. I never really considered it until HeartGold when I caught one for my first team. Now it's probably my favorite Grass-type (though that's technically not saying much) and I really enjoy using it.

I personally wasn't much of a fan of Koffing, but after watching it in anime one day, it eventually began to grow on me. :] Aside from that, I also didn't like Carnivine, but started to love it due to all stints it had done with James in the anime.

... Ah, um, Carnivine is purely Grass. Sadly enough, Carnivine is NOT poisonous, unlike Victreebel. Which is practically the same thing.

And just so I don't look like a jerk and post just to correct someone, (Great stuff, Murkmire), I also didn't really pay notice to Koffing or Weezing.

But, I'm not sure how, I just grew to like them after I began to adore Poison-types.

Oh, right; had no idea about that. :( If it winds up getting an evolution or mega at some point, it should definitely be typed as poison, if you ask me; every time I look at it, I always get reminded of that type, and I'm sure plenty of other people do, too. Haha.

Koffing/Weezing were ones I never really thought of beforehand, but I actually never one how to get them or how good they could be. Arbok is another one that I paid no attention to until the last couple of years, I actually like it quite a bit.

10 days no activity? Where did everyone go? New topic, let's hope this one sticks for a while.

What Poison-type Pokémon have you used in recent playthroughs?

Seviper in a recent Sapphire playthrough. <3 It was.. very hard to use but my first time actually keeping it through most of the game so there was a lot of interest. I love using new 'mons I've not used before. :) Dragalge is another poison I'm planning on using for the very first time as well, whenever I breed one.

I've actually never used a Seviper, there's an idea for OR/AS :O I just finished a monotype Poison run in FireRed using Venusaur, Nidoking, Golbat, Tentacruel, Haunter, and Beedrill. I also used Crobat in both X and Black 2, as well as using Gengar in my current Platinum playthrough (which I started a looooong time ago and just picked it back up).

In my most recent play-through, I think it was Toxicroak; had it on one of my rain-dance teams. It knew Swords Dance, Sucker Punch, Drain Punch, and Ice Punch; it'd set itself up for sweeping with first move, and finish off opponents with the rest. Plus, thanks to its Dry Skin ability, it would recover its HP every turn while it rained, which was very convenient. =) Huge fan of this Pokémon.

That sounds pretty wicked. Good type coverage and it sounds like it could hit pretty hard while being able to heal itself. Gotta love that!

I joined the Random Pokemon Challenge and someone rolled a team for me that included Garbodor and Muk. Garbodor is rather weak. She can't use her physical attack stat very well with the moves allowed to her. Muk, on the other hand, is rather good. I forget what moves he currently has, but I used him to destroy several gym leaders (Grass and Electric come to mind).

Yuck, see, having Garbodor and Muk on the same team just doesn't seem like it would work very well because they aren't versatile enough to fill different roles. I'm sure it could work if you got creative, but generally it just seems redundant.

It'd probably be Toxicroak; it's got an awesome design, and is powerful enough to sweep almost anybody. =) Plus, it could recover itself under rain thanks to one of its abilities. Second choice is definitely Gengar.

What Poison-type Pokémon would you own if you could own one?

Seriously? Between Arbok and my baby, Dustox?

Hmmm... That's a tough question. I can't choose between Arbok, Dustox (of course), Seviper, Ariados and Victreebel.

But, since it's just one (and not two), I suppose I'd go with Arbok. Or Seviper.

Yay indecisiveness!

Oh Murk, you're so predictablely indecisive as usual. :P I'd like to own a Crobat because they're just awesome and I'd be able to fly on them. I wouldn't mind riding on the back of a Scolipede though, that sounds kinda fun :P
