It's a short form of poetry where each poem consists of three lines, the first one with 5 syllables, second one with 7 syllables and third one with 5 syllables again. If you need some examples, you can look at team Aqua's haikus in Kitty's post.

Theres an error in the puzzle: 9 down is 8 letters long, but the solution required is only 7 letters wrong.
 

Where points are concerned, here is where we stand with the last 2 rounds! Magma, you still have time to finish Branding and Teacher's Task II if you would like, but this is what I have submitted so far.

Round 4+5 Results

Aqua 🥇 - 124 pts.
Magma 🥈 - 69.5 pts.

If the GT forum stays open for a bit after midnight, I will finish mapping the hideouts as planned for those of you who care about my silly lil visuals. :woop: I just have to get going right now and did not want to delay submitting the final points.

All in all, thank you for playing! Everybody honestly did so well, Aqua just went extra goblin mode and completed tasks in minutes flat. This went pretty successfully for the first time, and I hope to keep hosting this with more tasks and more polish (and better time management) in the future!
 
Moral of the story for next year's crossword: give no quarter.
  • Clue 1: Another crossword. Use the letters from the circled boxes to form a word.
  • Clue 2: Picross. Forms a picture. Identify the picture.
  • Clue 3: Sudoku. Use the first letter of the circled number boxes to spell a word.
  • Clue 4: Turn the question into an anagram, preferably 40+ letters long.
  • Clue 5: Identify the exact species of the thing in the picture (maybe a plant, bug, or something)
  • Clue 6: The third word on the plaque for the dinosaur at a specific museum
