1. C'mon, remakes of where it all began! Who doesn't want to play that?
2. Emerald's plot - the danger seems much more real than in DPPt (where only one guy in the Battle Zone noticed anything happening).
3. The legendaries! (and only one of the main trio is dragon).
4. Dive
5. Sevii Islands - muchos enjoyablos.
6. LeafGreen - your rival becomes the champion!
7. Speed > DPPt.
8. I was around 10 at the time of Gen III - actual pokémon trainer starting out age.
9. Milotic - everyone's main obstacle to being able to "catch 'em all"
10. Battle Frontier! The original and the best.

7- Flamethrower, Ice Beam and Thunderbolts are TM and easily obtained
8- Running Shoes and two different Bikes are fun to use
9- HM's can be used outside the menu
10-Overall difficult a bit higher than Gen II (Norman, those two girls in 7th Gym and most of the E4 and all the rematch of Kanto's Elite Four)

There are a lot of other reasons why I like gen. three, but these are my top ten. =)
