I would say Erika. Although she isn't very difficult to defeat if we happen to have some fire- or ice-type Pokémon on our team (this is how it is for almost all gym leaders, really, only with different typing and whatnot), she could still pull off a decent challenge if we do not. This is one thing that I like about her--her difficulty.

I might have seen her a couple of times in anime before, but... can't exactly remember much regarding her appearances, unfortunately. Definitely would have been nice if I were able!

Hey Peitharchia! Glad you could join us here :). I too share your opinion, Erika is my favorite grass-type trainer as well. Her status effects gives me an ulcer if I allowed her to set up, which only takes a single turn really lol. Looking forward to seeing you here!

Whooo another great member! Welcome! So sorry for the late welcome and post, I was out traveling over the weekend. Yes I totally agree, Erika is so freakin' great, she has style and she's strong too. Only if you let her set up which only takes a turn or two. What makes you like Treecko so much? :o

Ok people let's liven this place up, shall we? I put up a new topic of the week so please use it if you are at a loss for words.

In response to the topic, I feel that the Grass-type should have a more versatile type changing move. What I mean by that is other types have a move that forces the opponent to change its typing. For example water has "soak", and Trevenant has "Forest's Curse" that is only exclusive to it. Soak can be used by multiple water types so I would want Forest's Curse to do the same or have another move altogether.

Hi there, I am here to join, so let's get right to it!:):

Username: ZxFlashFreezexZ (just call me Flash)
    Favorite Pokemon: Sceptile
Reason For Joining: Grass types are my favorite, simple as that!
Answer to the Current Topic: If I could change one thing about grass types, it would be adding more grass type legendaries!

    [PokeCommunity.com] *A Freshly Scented Garden* Grass-type Club

Reason for joining: Grass isn't actually my most favorite type. But I want to love it more, so that's why I'm here!
Answer the current topic (optional): They should be immune to Fairy-type moves or at least the said type moves aren't super effective against Grass!

    Username: Tominator10 (Tommy for short)
    Favorite Pokemon: Grotle
Reason for joining: Grass type = Best Type

I also think there should be more grass legendaries. Let's just look at the ones we already have, shall we?
There's Celebi, Shaymin (both forms I guess), and Virizion. So thats 4 for Grass, but how many does Psychic have? 15. Yep, 15 legendary psychics. With Grass being the embodiment of nature in this universe, I think we need more.

Welcome to the Grass-type Club and PokéCommunity, Tommy! I'm uh not officially a member yet, I don't even know where did our Club Owner go. lol

Something like the God of the forest or plants would be great!

Enjoy your time here at PC!

If anyone is interested in taking over this club, please speak up as the owner of this club hasn't logged in since May 30.

EDIT: And just like that the deed is done - Unapologetic Sunflower is the new owner of the club.

Hello, fellow Grass-type Club members! As Quajutsu says, I'm the current owner of this garden due to the owner no longer being active here since late May.

Please to meet everyone, you can call me Unapologetic or Sunflower Guy, which I'm cool to either one! Let's give our very best for this relatively new club, show the others out there what we got! ;)

Now it's time to rock! Here's our new topic: Have you ever had a tough battle with a Grass-type Pokémon? Share us your experience!

To commemorate July 5th AND taking over this garden. I'm giving away a Shiny Stone* to those members who replied to the current topic.
    (image no longer exists)

Shiny Stone is an essential item for Roselia, if you want to evolve your Roserade into a Roserade. *Not in game or a real life item. It's an item that can only be used here for our Grass-type Club exclusive campaign, for details please check the rules.*

EDIT: The first two members who replies to our new topic will receive a Shiny Stone in their Gen VI games!

I figured with Sunflower now at the helm, I should join.

    Your nickname: Nichole, Hika
    Your Partner Pokémon: Budew
Reason for joining the club: Grass-types are amazing, they range from having unique designs and secondary types to also having unique moves and abilities that allow them to support the team or annoy the opponent.

Have you ever had a tough battle with a Grass-type Pokémon? Share us your experience!

I never really had any struggles with Grass-types, but I recall Gardenia's Roserade smashing me badly the first time I played Diamond. I guess it was because I had the wrong team to handle it, but on subsequent D/P/Pt playthroughs I always carried a Staravia by the time I got to her so she became much easier, along with the fact I was getting smarter.

Hello, welcome to our sunflower-themed garden! I hope you'll enjoy your time and interactions with our members here, even though our Club is just a small group for now!

Budew is great choice as a partner and you received a Shiny Stone for the Grass-type Club Campaign!

Gardenia's Roserade gave my Prinplup a hard time during my initial play as well! But my Staravia saved the day for us. :)

    Sorry for the late welcome.

Ah it's good to see that we have a new leader. Follow the leader, leader, leader!

''Have you ever had a tough battle with a Grass-type Pokémon?'' : Plenty! Grass type pokemon are always annoying to fight if you dont have a type advantage. Sleep powder is my nightmare!

Hello Jolly Potato (nice and happy name btw), thanks for the warm welcome! I've updates our club rules and with a campaign. Hopefully everyone is going to enjoy this mini-game for our tiny yet precious Grass-type Club!

You received the Shiny Stone for our Grass-type Club Campaign! Additionally a Shiny Stone has been reserved for your Gen VI game, I'll send you a Personal Message later to carry over this conversation over there.

That's all for the Shiny Stone giveaway event, stay tune for the next scenario!!!

Grass-type Pokémon can be nasty to battle with, for example the classic and well known SubSeed-tactic. Despite having the most weakness, if they are used carefully and with smart tactics, those who underestimate them is going to pay the price!
