This is mildly interesting to know, but the names are completely gay.
 
I'm so excited, can't wait (but I'm gunna have too), according to Google translate, they will be released this fall.

Yes, they're very gay. What does "heart" and "soul" have to do anything with Gold and Silver? The rumoured titles, DuskGold and DawnSilver made much more sense, considering time was implemented in that generation.

HearGold SoulSilver?! And those freaking title things. OMFG! I am sorrry I think I will be the one to spaz out the most at this. *PARTY* And it only came 2 days earlier then my birthday! Well at least I still got Pokemon Sunday to spaz about.

Whatever. I don't follow rumours like that, so I wouldn't really know.

And I'm sure there's many fans that don't have any love for these games. They're just going to fill it with crap like they did in FireRed and LeafGreen.
 
GSDS is confirmed?!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was going to wait till Sunday to post, but I want to get in a tidbit now. I JUST found out about it on Bulbapedia accidentally,because I was gonna go to sleep soon! But this is simply AWESOME!! And I haven't logged in for a LONG time, but GSDS was so important that I'm taking the time to post something!

(I'll post more about this tomorrow, when I'm fully awake. DEFINITE sig update tomorrow!! :D)

P.S. An even cooler bonus, Murphy's Law is DISPROVEN by Nintendo (even though it's "supposedly" right when mentioned, according to Godot) and Godot's profile is going to be in PINK for a month straight! XD :)

Names... all right I suppose, but I don't mind names that much anyway.
 
I think I've found out where the names come from. Look at these lyrics:

It starts in the heart,
Then flows through the soul
And changes the world

This is from the song, "The Power of One," which was sung during the credits of "The Power of One," (Who would've guessed?) which was the debut of Lugia, who's Silver's mascot.

Suddenly it all makes sense! :P
 
Ohhh wow... Finally^^ I'm really curious what the German names will be as the word by word translation would sound...well ehmm yeah not that good XD
 
I'm surprised they went with the names HeartGold and SoulSilver.
Didn't they register DawnGold and DuskSilver? [Or whichever way it went]

I personally think 'heart' in Gold's title came from how Ho-oh's wings look when it has them up in the air above it's head.. they form a bit of a heart shape.

That's just my thought though, it could've come from anywhere.

Heh, maybe that will recover my love for Pokémon games, the one I lost with D/P/P.

I can't wait to see (and listen) to Goldenrod City. One of my biggest childhood memories.
