Chit-Chat: a good ol' fashioned DCC!

You might not believe, but the heatwave here are life-threatening even for locals like us.
For once thinking of surviving temperature is possible. But when heatwave comes into picture then scene is different.


We need to put our lips inside the mouth if we are driving two wheelers. Because dry heatwave can make our lips bleed. Eyes also burn if we keep our eyes wide open, so generally we need to keep our eyes partially closed, or wear goggles.




Skin can also get affected if someone don't have experience of living in these climates.



Something like hairdryer being used over entire body but with more heat and we being placed in furnace.....
 
Yep! There's been reports of deaths in Asia as a result of the extreme heat they're getting. Certain medications can make you even more susceptible. I'm on an SSRI so I'm weaker to the heat and can get heat exhaustion/stroke quicker.
 
i walked outside tonight at sundown for about a half hour and it was above 90 degrees and not once did i sweat

too bad the low humidity isn't gonna stick around

In yesterday's newspaper, the news came that 17 people died due to heat stroke in 24hrs, and out of which 8 were found dead in the public place.....



It's still early morning, but the weather had already crossed 36°C. And to make matter worse, current humidity is also 50% !! It also doesn't helps that sunrise occurs around 5:30 AM, but sunset happens at 7 PM, and due to which, there is slight light in sky till 7:30PM. Hence the nights are also hot considerably, maybe around 33°C.


(Although increase in humidity should be seen as a sign that monsoon winds are going to start, which should be bringing rainy season here, most probably in the middle of June or around that)

It's been all over the place where I live. Crazy hot and humid one day, rainy and overcast the next five. Coworkers have been getting sick because of the crazy changes.

oof yeah that sounds like it'd be awful for me too, I don't deal well with big weather changes lol. I get tired and headaches come on often enough from things like that :s

It's been cloudy and raining a lot here which is awesome for me since I love the rain, and awesome for the city because it's been so dry here lately. I'm so thankful it's finally cooling down. Australia can be so warm outside winter T_T
 
The weather here? I guess it's been hot. We had our rain spells, but right now, it's like idk 80 something degrees Fahrenheit which is....something Celsius. Sorry to be ignorant on math on ya'll.

I miss my Switch, so I got it back, and totally pissed my bro wiped practically EVERYTHING out. But it's also funny at the same time cause idk. It just is. So I sort of not really stole the Sega Genesis from his house (actually, I asked for it back and he said yes), and uh, idk how to hook it up. HURRAY STUPIDITY!

Thanks! I am trying for it, and had stopped any physical activities which I used to do in evening.
I believe that I cannot in live(survive) in cold place like yours, because I had never even felt the cold once which you consider as the bare minimum for cold weather, as the average minimum here during winter is around 10-11°C.

The average annual temperature here is around 34-35°C. So I could safely assume that I will be frozen if I ever come across freezing temperatures !!





And a good news; the weather had got cooler massively, as the temperature dipped by 10-11°C !!

And it looks like weather will not again reach 50°C for this year. Although humidity is too much, and that change in humidity suggests that Rainy season is about to come.


I don't like rainy season at all.........
 
I have a slight phobia of stinging insects. When I have stuff to do in the yard, I make sure to get up extra early if it's in the summer.
 
Since I live in area surrounded by forest, hence I am more wary of venomous creatures. I don't want to be bitten by King Cobra !!

Like @Delta Crowned Sword, I live in a heavily forested area too.

I can appreciate these creatures and I agree about them being cool, but cool doesn't always mean these things are kind. We have Bald Faced Hornets in our area which will attack for little reason other than you walked near one at the wrong time.

I'd rather take precautions. We recently had some hanging onto our trash can. If my younger cousin hadn't pointed them out, I may have been stung upon opening the lid.

As you might be knowing, living in area like ours mean we can find troubles at most unexpected cases.

Be careful of Scorpions 🦂, as they are common here.


Though one fun cultural/traditional thing which we do here is to feed the ants with grains. We usually avoid killing the ants, and in return they don't bite us under normal circumstances !!
 
It's been a while since my last activity.

I am currently trying to get my BF into Pokemon, but been mildly unsuccessful (he is 2 badges deep into scarlet)

Im also working on finishing Legends: Arceus (i think im on the 4th titan/trial) and my 2nd playthrough of scarlet (tho very slow)

I am very good at league of legends so that takes alot of my time, and currently playing other games as well.

But how are you my friends?
