We already have a thread discussing the Aether Foundation, but we have yet to talk much about the artifical island, Aether Paradise. Obviously GF is giving a nod to the 5th element, aether, as the 5th island, Aether Paradise yet to be revealed until yesterday.

[PokeCommunity.com] Aether Paradise - Discussion of the fifth Island

Some initial questions I have are:
    • Will Oricorio have a fifth form? What typing would it have? Or does this island lock in a form? (Nullifying its transformations.)
    • Will there be totem pokemon, trials, and big kahunas on the fifth island?
    • Will there be different forms yet to be revealed that are related to the fifth island?
    • Which pokemon will be indigenous to Aether Paradise? Any we have yet to discover? Do the pokemon indigenous to Aether Paradise have special traits?
    • Do you think there is a connection shared with Rockruff and the starters that is directly tied to this island?

Well, I thought the fifth island the artificial island will only has the Aether Foundation building on it, no? I mean there's nothing else to explore, just a building there, so I personally don't think there's any new form available.

Anyway, I could see Aether Foundation provides services like fossil reviving and even daycare, just because how Lusamine loves all Pokemon from distant worlds, and also the pokemon that is targeted by Team Skull. The Aether Foundation looks like another resemblance of Devon Corporation in Hoenn to me

Wouldn't they want to protect Pokemon, though? So I would imagine there is space for Pokemon to live on their artificial island. If there was just a building that wouldn't really be a paradise for Pokemon, would it?

How do they remind you of Devon? Just wondering because I don't really see the resemblance at all, haha. Aether Foundation seems a bit... nefarious to me. Dunno why. The Devon Corporation seemed like the good guys, kinda like Silph Co.

There could be an indoor section of the building with wild pokemon like New Mauville (ie. Magnemite <3 and voltorb, etc.)

They may even have an indoor area that mimics the outdoors (like an indoor park) where lots of wild pokemon can go while they recuperate and such during their stay on the island. This is assuming that AF are good guys.

It's interesting that you bring this up, because we're supposed to have Rockruff's "secret" revealed to us sometime next week in CoroCoro.

Well from the newest trailer there's indoor habitats for Pokemon in Aether Foundation. I doubt we can get into that area if it was meant to protect the Pokemon... They remind me of Devon just because they are running the "science and technology" theme, I mean look at those machines in their headquarters .______. a fossil revival service will not be too farfetch'd at all.

The idea of Aether Foundation operating the daycare is just my opinion as Lusamine wants to protect Pokemon, and she offers the daycare service to help other people taking care of their precious babies, not to mention the Pokemon that are targeted by Team Skull, as sometimes Team Skull steals Pokemon too (I just assume that's one of their crimes, don't bite me though). I can probably see some NPCs commenting about: "Thanks to Aether Foundation's Daycare service, my Pokemon is taken care of safe and sound when I'm busy in work or something, as I don't need to worry for those troublesome Team Skull thugs stealing my Pokemon!" So far in every generation the daycare service is just a small business that runs in a family, so why not make it big this time ^^

Moreover, if Aether Foundation is true evil, by running daycare service they can easily obtained a large amount of Pokemon, and do some genetic experiment secretly............

Hmm, I don't think there will be anything REALLY important in Aether Paradise (unless it turns out to be the base of the real evil Team). I don't think there will be any Guardian Pokémon nor new Oricorio Form, since that island was created by humans, not naturally. Also, I can't imagine a Kahuna for that island as well, since that Island is mainly Aether Foundation's laboratory! About wild Pokémon... There might be some! In a recent trailer, I saw a Hypno, an Alola Meoth, a Corsola and a Starmie, so these might be in some patch of grass or in a mini-lake so we can capture... But i don't know '-'

It's going to be really exciting looking around the Aether Paradise, like colours said there should hopefully be some rare Pokemon there that we won't see in other areas of Alola. I could be wrong but I don't think we'll see any different forms of Pokemon and it'll just be an island that houses rare Pokemon and some Ultra Beasts.

Like Angie says, I do hope we get to see rare Pokemon on their island. Maybe post-game it could become home to Pokemon that may not be in the Alola Dex or something like that, similar to how non-Hoenn native Pokemon came to Hoenn after the Groudon/Kyogre encounter.

I'm actually hoping (provided that Aether aren't the bad guys) that this island provides us with some sort of safari zone or friend safari type experience.

For Oricorio getting a 5th form, don't think that would be happening, seems a bit too unlikely from they'd already revealed presumedly all forms of the bird. Plus, that would just be a bit overkill on Oricorio.

As for Pokémon being on the island, I agree there will be Pokémon on the island like others had said from Aether wanting to protect Pokémon & all buildings have at least wild Pokémon roaming around it at one point. For the types of Pokémon appearing at the island, I think it'll be similar to the Trophy Garden in 4th Gen or there will be common Pokémon roaming on it with Hidden Abilities. + Maybe even shines could be easier to find on the island since their purpose is to protect Pokémon. By them protecting Pokémon, they would protect sought after Pokémon right? Like shines, rarer Pokémon, or Pokémon with hidden abilities etc. might live on the island. (Hopefully they do !)

I can't see Oricorio getting a 5th form, not on this artificial island anyway. Oriocorio is a Pokemon that changes its form when sipping the nectar of flowers, so unless they have some sort of nature reserve then I really can't see how it would retain a form on a man-made island.
